"I can understand that, it must be hard seeing him again after he kidnapped three people and was a general menace to everyone. And I guess we'll jsut have to see about Harmony then."

"Ok.... how do you think Anna and Harmony are settling in?" asked Hope.

"Well it puts my mind back on to it."

"Do you mind not suggesting stuff like that? It doesn't make things any easier."

"I think so. They would report if something were going wrong." ----- Shadow could see it up ahead very briefly, but it disappeared again. The trio approached cautiously, knowing their new enemy could be anywhere in the barley lit temple.

"Well someone has to," laughed Hope.

"You're not, you've barely complained, and this isn't your average problem."

"It's fine, you're in a tough position. Anyone would complain."

"I can only imagine what it's like," said Hope.

That's good to hear. My line of work isn't that compatible with fragile devices holding my existence together.

Will I still have to wear this when I get back to the present?

That's a wise decision. Fortunately I haven't met a future Rouge or Omega so there's no chance of me inlfuencing the future that way.

It is a worrying thought. You could erase people from existence with it.

"I'm sorry Melody, but it's true. We'd just get ourselves killed. I know you're annoyed that Skye got you like this, but be grateful you'll walk again at all. A lot of people with spinal injuries aren't so fortunate."

"I doubt we'll put up much of a fight, let's be honest." ---- Team Dark were still moving through the chamber. "Any idea on what to do when we find this guy?" asked Rouge. "I was thinking just the usual routine if that'll work," replied Shadow. "And if it doesn't?" "We'll improvise."

"Thanks. But you do raise a worrying point."

Hope shook her head. "Nope, I refuse to accept that. I dismiss your claim for being depressing and creepy," she said with a slight laugh.

Hope laughed. "Can you blame them? At least our fugitive isn't here."

"Yeah. I'll tell them." Hope switched on her radio. "Guys, it looks like that god is somewhere in there with you." "Great, thanks Hope," replied an annoyed Shadow.

"I think we still can, he's slowing down."

That's good to know at least.

Indeed, evil will always exist. And such a device would be immeasurably dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands

Heh, if I were awake his coup would have lasted a day or two. And I suppose you're right about yours and the others' descendents, if they're any good that is. Knowing my luck they'd be a bunch of pacifists. *laughs a little*

I shall try to make my future but sometimes events occur which can have drastic, far reaching and often unintended consequences. In 100 years there may be an even graver threat than Eggman, and I won't have the same team to back me up or allies to call on.
