Shadow the Hedgehog

Hope saw Melody asleep and decided to test her machine. She locked in on her brainwaves and calibrated it to the mildest possible setting.

After half an hour Hope finally finished her prototype. Shadow and Rouge briefly headed off to inform the Commander they'd resolved the situation with Mephiles and returned to the lab soon after.

"I guess not." Hope returned to working on her machine."

"They do. Just not in that way."

Hope laughed. "Yeah, better safe than sorry."

"I just wanted to be sure. About the only thing you could get away with here would be a whoopee cushion."

"Well you certainly couldn't do it here."

"That sounds like a better idea."

"Shadow throws Chaos Spears at the range when he's angry. But I don't think destruction is up your alley."

"You can't do that anymore. You'll find something else." ---- Zamy smiled back. "Thanks. Almost hard to think how it was so little time ago we were both there in the academy."

"True. I'd never take it out on my friend though."

"I try to be patient." ---- "That's horrible. I'm glad you're pushing through. I'm sorry to see it's still happening, but if you're recognising they're fake it's a good sign. Just don't forget you have friends," smiled Zouge.

"I'm sure you won't." ---- "What was it about?" asked Zouge. "It was me being beaten up by my old academy class. I know it's totally false, but it still shook me up."

"Of course not. I'm not cruel."

*sees how difficult it is for Skye to maintain lie and decides to try and help* Stranger things have happened. There are countless ways in which he'd be unable to naturally survive in our atmosphere.

"Exactly. You'll never notice me switch it to nightmare mode."

"Yeah. Should be good, if it works." ---- After delivering Hope R, Zamy returned to her apartment where Zouge appeared a few minutes after. "Hey Zamy. How you holding up?" she asked. "I'm ok other than that implanted memory episode earlier. I don't know what triggered it."

"I think I'll have my machine finished earlier than expected."

"I'm ok thanks. Doesn't sound like my kind of thing."

"I hope so too."

"From what I've been told, he lost his mind."

"That should be enough."

"True. You'll think of something."

"Only if you got caught."
