Shadow the Hedgehog

"Thanks Shadow. If you weren't confident in me I'd probably be out of a job," replied Hope jokingly as she kept an eye on Melody. ----- "I know, time really has gone by. I hate to run but I have to try and rehabilitate some of the prisoners in 10 minutes. I'm always happy to drop by if you call me though." "Thanks Zouge, and good luck," smiled Zamy as Zouge returned to No Zone.

(Ok) Hope started searching through the scenarios. "Ok, let's go for a near empty passenger jet. I'll set it to a minor nightmare. I hope I didn't put the settings in reverse," she said before realising Melody wasn't awake to hear her joke. "That's the sort of thing a trainee electrician would do, you're too good for that," said Shadow.

(I can have Hope start a scenario if you like)

"Ok, let's see how this goes."

Hope put the intensity up slightly, then turned the machine back on.

"No problem. I'll start it again when you're asleep," said Hope as she pondered what to adjust this time.

"THere are ways, I'm sure. And of course. Nap away."

"I'm not tired though. This can't send people to sleep. You can still have your dream."

"I would except I need to operate the machine."

"Yes, that's right."

"Intensity reflects that, but also what sort of content would be in the dream. A mild dream might be you running through a park, but the higher settings could be you in your old castle ruling as a queen. And yes, generally speaking it will feel real unless I go to the lucid setting, then you know it's a dream and can control it."

"Yeah, I was just telling Shadow and Rouge about the scenarios, it adds another level of specificity to my machine. So you could have an intense nightmare on a boat, for example."

"It changes the intensity of a dream, but the dream type is defined by your mind. However, there's also a selection on here which overrides your mind and let's me dictate what dream you'd have. Nightmare, lucid dream, a dream where you think you've woken up and go about your day. That sort of thing."

"Ok. It'll give me a chance to see if the dial works properly."

"I'm not sure you should sleep now. It'll mess up your body clock."

"No, it's not that advanced yet. All I could do is look at your body's reactions to see if it needed shutting down. I can input scenarios though, but again can't see how they unfold."

"You did. I turned my machine on and set it to the lowest I could as a test. You were blushing a lot, then Shadow hit the abort button."

"Now we know the big red button works," said Hope. "Have a nice dream Melody?" she asked.

Shadow hit the button for Hope. "You are just testing it after all."

"Blushing? That's odd. I hope she's ok," said Hope, her finger hovering over the abort button.

"She looks OK for the moment," said Shadow warily.

(OOC Phone's acting up, sorry. And no, she'd look at Melody's body. If she's mutterring or flailing about. Signs of restlessness basicslly).
