"Ah, so the blown up guy is that girl's father." ----- "We had an unexpected visit from the Moebius Hope. I think she did it because she got to use my blood."

"Yeah. After the film I'll check the map." ----- "Yes, she's able to walk again now."

"I wonder what," ----- "Sometimes it's intentional. It's a useful tactic."

"Good idea, there must be a video store nearby." ----- "Indeed. I seem to be good at getting on the bad side of most people like that."

"I'd imagine so." ---- "Not so much crazy as overly scheming: if he chose a simple plan the world would have been plunged into darkness before anyone knew what was happening, but no, he had to get revenge on me and use a complex plan."

"Might be hard in a day," ----- "He had an express desire to kill me, even tried copying my appearence slightly. In a now gone timeline I ruined his plans."

"Yeah. I like him a lot." ---- "Yes. It was far from easy and nearly a suicide mission."

"Yeah, Q seems more with it " ----- "I killed a god yesterday, I beg to differ."

Hope managed to keep a straight face. ---- "He shouldn't be too hard to locate."

"If Shadow didn't take care of my gear, you bet." --- "Ok then. What needsvto be done in the meantime?"

"Hey it's a quartermaster." ----- "That might be best."

"Agreed." ----- "Who said she lied? The poor girl's trying to do what she thinks is best. For all we know she could've meant it."

"Hehe not a bad idea." ---- "To make you happy? That seems her priority."

"No question there." ----- "I don't think so. That's not to say she doesn't care about you immensely."

"True." ---- "I don't think she'd mean you literally treat her as your mother."

"I know, but it's a cool premise." --- "No problem.... mother? She might be looking after you, but I doubt she'd want you to think like that. It isn't that healthy."

"He sounds pretty nasty." ----- "Alright then. I'll do what I can."

"I'll say. Ok, here's his assignment." ----- "I might be able to help keep them in line at least."

"A shoulder injury like that, maybe." ----- "As am I. And how so? I'm off for a while after dealing with a.... situation, so I can lend a hand."

"It certainly does." ----- "I could've either let you do the ritual then leave peacefully, or killed you before you tried. It doesn't matter now anyway, you aren't the same person thankfully. I also wanted to see how things are doing over here with the Zone Cop being turned into a child and all."

"Oh yeah. He has an... interesting method of persuasion to get her to clear him." ----- "I had two good ways to solve the situation but did neither."

"Whose that other woman?" ----- "My failed double cross."

"Looks like a briefing." ---- "Hello Anna, I'm here to deliver this box of muffins to you. To formally apologise."

Ah well, onto the story." ---- Shadow started looking around. "Where is that mongoose?"

"Yeah, must be." ---- Shadow appeared in Haven carrying a box. "Why do I have to do this?" he muttered to himself.
