Shadow the Hedgehog

The door was slid shut as the ghost tried to shove Zamy over the edge, but she managed to jam the talisman ont it's forehead, causing it to dissipate. "One down." ---- "You might want to make it snappy."

"I will be." Zamy slid open the door to the balcony and stepped onto it. ----- "That's cool. Do you know who they are?"

"Great. I'll check it out," replied Zamy as she headed over to the balcony. ---- "You were great!"

"Ok. Where is it now?" ---- Hope took a few more pictures.

"You can help by using that tracking spell to tell us where it is," said Shadow. ------ Hope got a few pictures of Melody.

"I'm afraid you'll have to. This isn't your fight." ----- Hope cheered Melody on.

"Miles, I don't want to lose you to that... thing," protested Zamy. ------ Hope watched Melody get pulled up and waited to see what she was gonna do.

"You stay here, we'll go and finish this off." ----- Hope slowly made here way over.

"They can't get in here, so it's a lot better." ----- Hope watched Melody go and waited for a good time to follow.

Once Miles was in Zamy shut the door. "Well, back to square one." ----- "Exactly."

Zamy opened the door to the apartment and hurried in with Shadow and Zean. ------ "The clock says a little under 2 hours."

"With this thing around faster doesn't seem so great as you could run right into it," replied Zamy as they reached the top floor, heading for the apartment. ---- Hope looked up at the large timer.

"I think I'd fall on my face if I tried using them up 11 sets of stairs," laughed Zamy. ---- "Yeah it's part of the experience."

"It's times like this I regret buying the penthouse," joked Zamy as the group started up the stairs. ---- "I just hope I can still hear afterwards."

"I've got a symbol on the door so it should be," explained Zamy. ----- "Yeah I am."

"Yeah. Come on, let's get to the apartment." Zamy and Zean helped Shadow up and wentbtowards the apartment. ---- "Enjoying yourself?"

"Oh I'm sure he will," smiled Zamy as Shadow coughed. "Why'd you do that? I almost had her," he joked. "But seriously, my heart was just slowing in there. I don't understand it." ----- "Thanks sis'".

"Well he's still breathing, but he hasn't got much of a pulse. Given how long it took for us to get here it's a relief," replied Zamy as Shadow started to move. ----- "I'm afraid you'll drag me up there."

Zamy felt Shadow's faint pulse and started pressing down on his chest to resuscitate him. ------ "That's what I'm worried about," laughed Hope.

Zamy and Zean helped pry open the doors, Shadow falling out onto the ground as soon as they were open. Zamy rushed over to check if he was ok. ------ "What about you?"

Eventually Zamy and Zean reached the 11th floor and hurried to the elevator. ------ "I'm positive, trust me."

"The 11th floor by the looks of it," said Zamy, running into the stairwell with Zean behind. ------ "That won't be necessary, trust me."

"Oh no!" Zamy looked terrified, glancing up at the arrows and seeing that the elevator had stopped moving. "He probably hit the emergency stop. We need to get up there." ----- "That my voice isn't really up for it tonight."

"Miles? What are you doing down here, where's Shadow?" asked Zamy. ------ "Well..er, the thing is...." mumbled Hope.

Shadow got inside and hit the elevator call button. Two were coming down to the ground floor, the one on his side at a slightly faster rate. When the doors opened it revealed the lights were out, but Shadow was yanked in and the elevator went back up. At the same time, the other elevator reached the lobby and Zamy and Zean stepped out. ---- "You wouldn't do that to your perfect sister would you?"
