"Cause.  You boys do things on your own too!" said Zoe.

"Sure it is!" said Zoe.

"Why?" asked Zoe.

If you want a guide for what order to read the comics in, it can be found here: http://en-forums.sonicscanf.org/topic/379-comic-reading-guide-sonic-the-hedgehog-archie-series/?page=1 Most of the comics follow the timeline as they go along.  There are some issues that have a '25/30 Years later' stories, but they are mostly self contained.  Sonic Universe is not it;s own timeline.  Sonic Universe has extra stories that take place alongside the normal comics, except for one arc which involved the aforementioned "30 Years Later." However, as of issue 252, the whole Sonic Comic has been rebooted, essentially starting off with a whole new world.  So if you're new to the comics, unless you have access to the old ones, that is the best place to start. Also, Nicole isn't a new character,  She was part of SatAM, and has been in the comics from some of the earliest issues.

"It does?" asked Skye, looking tempted to try some himself.

"Aww, don' be pouty!" giggled Zoe.

"That's what I tried to tell fenn," said Ziona as Zoe giggled. ----------- "Sure thing," said Skye getting up to cook.

"Do you want anything else?" Skye asked. ---------- "But the boys aren;t allowed.  Fenn insisted," added Ziona.

"Hi Mom!  And yeah, breakfast!" nodded Zoe. "Ahh, well Skye's been cooking one for everyone, and Fenn would like to play with your after breakfast," said Ziona.

"Ah, there you three are, you seem to be in a hurry," said Ziona spotting Dominic, Zoe and Stacey.

"I'm coming!" grinned back Zoe.

"Good idea," said Zoe.

"Yes.  It just would be nice if they could see that," said Skye.  "But we shouldn't be worrying about that right now."

Ziona nodded then set off to find Zoe.

"I'm going to find Zoe.  You keep enjoying breakfast Vipey," said Ziona getting up.

"I am just a machine.  I do not have feelings.  Those are the arguments they would use," said Skye.

"The boys won't like that!" smiled Ziona.

"Eggman, and maybe Mobian's...well... they don't like technology more advanced than a lightbulb.  I am the personification of technology," said Skye.

"Where are you two gonna play?  I can tell Zoe to meet you there," said Ziona.

"You have no idea," smiled Skye, seeming to think back.  "But... mainly the latter.  There is a... fear of the intelligent machine."

"Thank you," said Skye smiling more.  "Let's just say.... G's attitude is not unique to him."

"Want me to go and get her sweetie?" Ziona asked Fenn.

"That's why they're not up yet," smiled Skye.  "I'm surprised you sister isn't though, I thought she'd be excited to learn some more magic."
