DON'T SMASH IT! WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T SMASH IT! I've gonna severe the remote link. We've got all the data, we don't need more. Just, put it down and run.
-
That would be the switch marked off. Unless any of those shocks have done damage to the machine.
-
That's all the data we need. Get out of there you two. I've got all the information encrypted so only I can access it.
-
Weaponised... were-hogs?... Mass... carnage?... *blinks a few times then shakes head* Got it, I'm running an encryption program. Just a few more seconds and you can pull out of there.

Curses aren't physical. Magic doesn't follow the laws of physics. Besides, I'm just speculating the worst case scenario. Not the likely scenario.
-
Well, the worst case scenario is, depending on how this curse operates, is that the curse passes through the scanner into the link we have set up here at haven, then the haven system detonates covering the whole planet with the curse. Of course, if the curse was that virulent we'd all have been... infected for want of a better term, as soon as we had contact with Dylan.
-
I, uh, guess. But if it is transferring the curse, that might get passed on in the explosion. Or worse. Maybe an always on version...
-
It shouldn't be long now. Be careful. If the shocks become too severe the device may explode, and i don't know what that will do to you and Shadow.
-
Shocks? That's probably not good. At least I think it's not good. Either there's a loose wire that's feeding charge into the grip, or that means the curse is being passed on. Or something else. Every experiment has an element of entropy that can never be predicted and can lead to a completely unexpected result.
-
I-I h-hope s-so. *Hear's Dylan and Shadow* Huh, uh. Yeah, we're getting some stuff now. Just keep it going. The more we get the better chance we have of fixing this. (ooc: it's your curse Dylan, so up to you if the device backfires or not. The more magic-y the curse, the more likely to go wrong)

The journal… It, well it started out ok. Designs, technical schematics, that sort of thing. But then some of the ideas became… creepy. Implants to control people’s minds, beams that change emotions at range, orbiting devices to drain the life from planets. Then it started changing into ramblings. I didn’t read those, but there were pictures drawn in there. Horrible pictures. Death and destruction... (ooc: if this was a film/tv show, i suspect skye's words would be a voiceover while our hero's above do the climbing/scanning)

Ok Dylan, we'll keep the mic off at our end. Shout if you need us. *Turns to Locke* I'm feeling much better. All that time in the workshop helped. But if you mean the memory thing, then... erm... no not really. I think... I think I had a sister. Is she around here as well?
-
*Looking slightly crestfallen* Sorry Locke, I had a room here so I thought... Nevermind. I'll get the computers here set up to record the reading the devices take.
-
We've got a heap of jetpacks stashed over here if they'd help? Or, well, anything else for that matter. Seriously, this place is loaded with stuff.
-
The new one can be used safely close up. It's only if you use it at range there's a problem. Unless it get damaged... But... um... that might be the same with the first one too....
-
*returns to control room* I'm back, and I've got a new one. I've added an option so it can be used at range if needed. But, erm, depending on how exactly this curse works, there is a small chance that the person using it could become cursed with the ranged option on.
-
*in workshop, working hard, tongue sticking out in concentration* Hmm let's see. If I rerouted the secondary couplers, increase the charge to the helmat regulator, reverse the polarity of the neutron flow and run a phased tachyon beam through the focusing lens... I might be able to make this one work at range. Or it will transfer the curse to whoever uses it, one of the two. (ooc: you told us something to do with Dark Gaia, but this do-hicky is meant to get exactly how it happens so it can be undone)
-
No. But I can make one. I'll see if I can make some improvements too! *Runs back off to workshop*
-
*Blushes but grins ecstatically* I... uh... T-thanks. It's... its really good to hear that. Now we just need to get this onto a were-hog. Do we have a very long stick?
-
Hi Locke. While everyone was arguing I found the workshop and rigged this up. I won't go into the boring technical details, but stick it on a werehog and it should analyse the reason for this curse. Or at least eliminated several possibilities. Do you like it? *smiles proudly*
-
*Getting back to control room* We're trying to lead Shadow out. Hold on, I'll see if I can put you two in touch. (ooc: and now I'm away for the morning, catch you guys later)
-
Some of the things that are written and drawn in book, they... I'm not sure I want to be the person who pencilled them. It sounds like Shadow and Dylan are back. We should help them first. (ooc: Good morning everyone.)
-
My room? I didn't have much stuff did I. Have I lived here for long? Lets see... *Picks up backpack* Huh, this... this is important to me some how. But... there's a lot of bloodstains on on. *Puts down and picks up small book* Is this a diary? No, a lot of technical stuff in here and... a lot of drawings of... of... *snaps book shut* I'm not sure I want to find out any more.
-
No. Nothing at all. Well, I obviously know something about tech. And I think I know some things about... magic? I have my knowledge but not any memories.
-
Everybody leaving. So how are we going to get Shadow out now?
