"According to Dylan this curse occurred because something called... was it black gala?... anyway, something was unleashed from the Master Emerald by the DEL. So the question is, was it unleashed deliberately, and if so, actuality by the DEL?"

Melody tutted behind the two of them. "Assuming they aren't just a front. Someone to draw fire away from the real culprits," she pointed out. "That could be the case," mused Skye, "When Dylan gets back we need him to tell us all the info he has on the DEL." (occ: Shame he's not back till tomorrow most likely! :P )

"It depends on how the curse affect the cybernetics whether it would become a robot or not. But maybe the solution lies there... If a curse can transform cybernetics into flesh... Hmmm...."

"Hey, I've just thought of something," burst out Skye. "If the DEL on Dylan's world have cybernetics, what happens when they transform? Remind me to ask him when he gets back. As for these mutations. I don't know, but I'd make a guess at magic before science. Or maybe magic controlled by science."

"I'm sure there is a pattern in this data. I'm just not sure what's part of the pattern, what's just affected by the pattern, and what's useless gibberish. Looks like we're back to the DEL base plan."

“I know. Sorry Dad, didn’t mean to worry you. Just… memories of a bad dream. They got to me briefly” Skye told Locke as they headed to the control room. Sliding into the command chair, Skye accessed the secure file. “Ok, we’re ready to go here. See anything useful Dylan?”

"Uh, yeah. Sorry about the scanner sabotage. It... I was... He... Um, I'll just go and unlock the data." Skye hurried from the room. Melody watched him go with surprise, then shot after him. "Skye?" she asked, "was that about...?" "Father. Yes. He had started taking control of me." Skye shivered at the memory. "Never again."

“Ah ok. In the meantime, we do have the scanner data. You haven’t looked at it yet, and I’d hate for your and Shadow’s efforts there to go to waste.” (ooc: I get where you're coming from Shadow. The kids nonchalant attitude is in part because they do actually think mobius is completely happy and peaceful, and in part coping mechanism.)

“Ok Dad, we’ll keep that in mind whenever we meet someone. We’ll get back to planning this mission.” Skye turned to Dylan. “Was anything planned before breakfast? I think Melody and I missed the start. And Knuckles will need to be brought up to speed.” (ooc: That excuse will cover Skye and Melody until Tails hears there’s apparently another two-tailed fox around. And if anything slips out in the following awkward meeting it might be Bye-Bye Prime Melody and Skye! )

"Leave it to Shadow to spoil the moment," Skye sighed. "So all I need to do is avoid anyone who knows my father's counterpart in this zone. How hard can that be?" "Okay, okay, I get it, no sight-seeing." Melody sighed while address the whole room, rather than any single person. "I've had some training at infiltrating so if I can help with the plan..." "Wait, before the base, we still have that were-hog data to examine!" interrupted Skye. (ooc: and don't forget, Mina is pretty well known, and Melody bears more than a passing resemblance....)

As Knuckles entered Skye flashed his sister a sly grin and the two children walked over to him. “Hiya Knuckles. I’m officially your little brother now! Don’t worry, I won’t try and steal the Master Emerald. I’m past that. And this is Melody, your little sister!” “Erm… um.. hello….” Melody enviously introduced herself to Knuckles. “I… never thought I’d…. see you outside… the dungeon.” “Mel-o-dy!” exclaimed Skye, “That’s rude.”

“Dangerous?” Melody began, definite, yet still nervous of Shadow. “Ha… I doubt… there’s anything here… worse than… Moebius. Skye and I… can handle ourselves. Wait… Dylan… What do you mean… now and future?” “Erm, Melody, I didn’t manage to tell you this before but, erm, we’re kinda thirty years in the past, as well as a different zone. So if we go out and are seen, we might mess up this Zone’s past. Erm… I mean present. You know what I mean.” Skye told his sister.

"Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait," sighed Skye. "or..." He turned to Melody, "we find Knuckles, introduce ourselves and see his exprsion in the flesh." "Actually Skye," said Melody, now more or less awake, "I wanna go exploring in this new world. I mean, there's lots of stuff to see right. And I wanna see what Castle Prower looks like in this Zone... Wait, it's Castle Acorn here, isn't it?" "Um, I don't think it's a good idea for us to be going exploring Melody," Skye replied with a grimace.

"He found out? Can I see the photo?" asked Skye. "Uhh... Me too!" added Melody through a mouthful of waffles.

There was a clear "Thank's Dad" from Skye, and a muffled one from Melody. "Yeah, I think Melody was up a little late with the excitement." Skye turned to the plate, only to find that half the waffles were already missing, plied up in Melody's hand and she munched at them sleepy.

"Well, if we missed them, I'll just make another batch. It'll give Melody time to wake up." Skye walked over to take the waffle iron from Shadow. Melody somehow, despite her closed eyes, found a chair and sat down. Seconds later she laid her head down on the table and drifted off.

Skye wandered into the kitchen, followed by his sister who seemed to be more sleepwalking than awake. "Morning everyone!" called Skye, "Mmm! Do I smell waffles?"

"Huh... What all that shouting about?" Skye groggily asked, as he sat up in bed rubbing sleep from his eyes. Meanwhile, Melody remained asleep in her room but stirred slightly. "No Mother, I don't wanna do training tonight. Just ten more minutessszzzzzzzzz..."

"Even if we're not sharing a room, we can get two close by. I just hope tonight isn't going to be as eventful as last night. I'd rather not go dream walking for a third time," said Skye. (ooc: and that's me off tonight. Catch you tomorrow.)

"I don't wanna share a room with my brother. I haven't for eight years and I'm not starting now!" Melody exclaimed, sounding mock-offended at the idea.

"It's good to know she has both company and some way to interact with the outside. Getting trapped like that, it almost happened to me when I went back into my head to rescue Melody.". "I told you that you almost got yourself killed. Only you could get yourself stuck in your OWN mind Skye," Melody berated her brother good naturedly. Skye was able to laugh this one off. "Dad, if we're calling it a night, should we find a room for Melody?"

"You do talk to her?" Skye asked somewhat surprised. "I'm... just surprised that she doesn't talk more. I mean, being all alone in a void, you'd want to talk all the time if someone was there, wouldn't you?" "You're awfully concerned about her Skye. Are you looking for a girlfriend?" teased Melody. "Shut up," Skye retorted with a lack of wit.

"Take in Knuckles body?" Melody whispered to Skye, "Dad makes it sound like Knuckles isn't in his body." "Maybe he's not," chuckled Skye, "maybe his mind's having a party inside the Master Emerald with Tikal." Skye laughed at the image, then looked a bit upset. "She must get lonely, trapped in there with only a water monster for comfort."

Both kid's let out a simultaneous 'Aww'. "Okay then Dad," conceded Skye. "We'll leave it for now." (ooc: night shadow.)
