"Hold on Dad, I wanna try these on first to make sure they work on me." "Ok, this part still takes a long time," muttered Skye, as he himself was rummaging through hats and sunglasses. (ooc: hehe. I was wondering when someone would bring that up. So far I've four possible ideas for the how.)

"Can I get a hat?" asked Skye, as Melody ran, but far for at full speed, round the store, gathering an every increasing pile of new cloths as she went. "One advantage of having a sister with super-speed," mused Skye, "you don't need to wait for them when shopping."

"Oh I will. Don't worry. I just haven't seen anything I like the look of ye... OH! There, that one! Can we stop there?" Melody was pointing eagerly at what could only be described as the most overpriced store in the city. (ooc: Girl was royalty, she has expensive tastes! :P )

"Hi, pleased to meet you," responded Ziona pleasantly. "But we're really not together," objective Zet. Ziona just smiled. "Thank's for the sandwiches," piped up Skye.

"Bacon sandwich please, please, please." Enthused Melody. "You've had two already this morning." "And I want another!" Skye sighed. "Okay then... ermmmm, on with all the different meats you have with plenty of BBQ sauce and some cheese. And, just an orange juice to drink. And, erm, why... why are you running a sandwich bar of all things?"

"I just... never thought to ask. I thought they just liked the sound of it. And Mother was more interested in training me than anything else." "Father chose my name thinking that his Prime counterpart wouldn't give his son a girl's name. That really worked out well." (ooc: and off to bed for me now. Catch you later.)

"Can you even image Mother as a singer Skye?" Melody incredulously asked her brother. "Not even slightly... Although..." "What?" "It would explain your name."

The two children swapped shocked looks between the radio and each other. "Mother's a SINGER?" they both exclaimed.

Melody grudgingly got into the car. "Not Fair. That was the first chance to properly stretch my legs." "You mean the version of Mother in this Zone is well known?" asked Skye. "Oh Great. So how am I meant to not be recognised? Dye my hair?" Melody complained sarcastically. "Well.." Skye began, charging up a little magic. "DON'T! YOU! DARE!" (ooc: I thought you were asleep!)

As the car started, Skye sighed and stuck his head out the window. "Melody, stop showing off. You don't always need to be the centre of attention." "Yes I do," called back Melody, who was running alongside the car. (ooc: No worries Shadow. Hope it's nothing too strenuous that you're up to.)

After a short minute Zet returned wearing shorts, boots and gloves, and loking a mix of uncomfortable and slightly embarrised. "I think we can go now," smiled Ziona. Whether or not she heard Glen's comment was unclear. (ooc: and I'm gonna be catching up with friends who are back from Rio tonight, so doubt I'll be around. Catch you guy's later)

Ziona poked Zet in the ribs. "See. I told you it was a bad idea." "But I'm on..." "Undercover duty Zet, so come on. Into your civvies" Zet sighed. "Alright. I'll be right back."

The two kid's were giggling at the childish antics of the adults, which was probably the only thing keeping them from whining about being held up. Finaly, the two zone cops made an appearance. While Ziona was wearing causal cloths, Zet was still in his uniform. "Ok, we're good to go."

Melody leapt across the kitchen and tackled Locke in a hug. "Thank's Daddy. You're the best!" Skye just shook his head. "Girls," he muttered.

"I'm not saying anything Glen," Ziona replied with a smirk, "but I better wake him and tell him to pack shorts." At the mention of packing, Melody's smile faded slightly. "Uhhhh, just remembered, I've got nothing to wear, aside from these." Melody tugged at what she was wearing, "And there doesn't seem to be anything in my size in Haven. Is there some way I can get some new clothes first?"

"Sorry Daddy, and don't worry. We can do the mountains next time. But I haven't been to a beach in aaagggggeeessss!" "I don't know what you are insinuating Glen," replied Ziona with a small smile, and a singificant glance towards the kids.

"Beach! Beach! Definitely the beach!" Melody yelled, causing Skye to wince as he was standing right on front of her. "Oh, no big deal. Zet just gets a little sleepy after a drink, that's all."

Skye cheered. "Thanks a lot. It wouldn't be the same without you there." "So where will we be going?" asked Melody. Meanwhile, Ziona walked over to Rouge. "I dn't think we've been introduced. Unless..." Ziona looked around and spotted Red. "No, we haven't met. I'm Ziona. My partner Zet, well he's currently asleep on duty."

The two children started dancing around the Kitchen chanting "Vacation, Vacation, Vacation." Skye heard Shadow's attempts to excuse himself and Rouge. "Aww, come on Uncle Shadow, you and Rouge have to come too." "You're calling him Uncle Shadow now?" "Yeah. Of course," Skye replied matter-of-factly. "You only just got here and you're wanting a holiday already?" Ziona was standing in the doorway, watching the proceedings with amusement. Zet was nowhere to be seen.

"You're... you're both right. You can't just act without thinking, but in Father's case..." Melody had been fidgeting during the exchange and now interrupted. "Can we change the subject? It's too early in the day to be talking about heavy stuff. And I wanna do something FUN!" (ooc: Note, Melody's feelings are not my own! :P )

"I know. If things were Black and White you wouldn't have tried to save me, would you?"

"I don't care what happens to Father. He deserves it," spat Skye bitterly.

"I.. Ok, I see. Sorry Skye." "It's alright Melody, really."

"I know. But it's best if he doesn't dwell on it, right?" Skye was still rubbing the back of his head.

"I can. I know what it's like... OW!" Melody had just slapped Skye on the back of the head. "What was that for?" "To stop you before you start moping and whining again."
