Skye leaned over to his sister/ "Melody, I dunno who this guy is, so we better get out of sight and illusion up before he starts asking awkward questions." "Good idea. But can you let me choose what I look like? I wanna try some different styles out." "Uh, ok. What'cha got in mind." "Too many ideas, I'll try and think of one to choose," Melody replied as both kids slunk out of sight.

At that was the point the last-post RP became an actual RP.

Hey, we agreed I wasn't in my right mind at the time!

"Well Gamma, I wouldn't say this watch is your ONLY way back. But, it does have a very unique design, so it'd be more accurate to say it is your only way back right now. At least you don't need to worry about the time factor." (ooc: Maybe we're at a pirate themed bar?)

"Can I have a look? I've no doubt I can get it up and running faster. Or at least use the data for one of our other methods." -------------------------- "Thanks Rouge. It doesn't matter much yet, the second half will take a few days to organise anyway. Though the first half is ready to go when he is, if he still wants to."

"Hey. And we could help out their world too! We've already done that with Dylan's world after all!" ------------------------------- After a few minutes Zet answered the door, once more walking sideways on the walls. "Rouge?" Zet seemed surprised. "What's up?"

"Let's see, we have the Haven portal, the Zone Cops, Dylan's teleporter, Shadow's Chaos control, I could probably rig up something... I think we can help get him home."

"Wha...? Months. But we saw you this morning..." "Are you sure this is your world?"

"Wait. The robot is friendly after all? Ok, no EMP pulse!" Skye made a few gestures and the arcs of electricity that had been running across his fingers disappeared. Melody had drawn her knife when Gamma started chocking Shadow, and while she lowered it, she didn't sheath it and still looked at Gamma with suspicion.

"ReadyReadyReady!" "Hold on, let me straighten my fez."

"I was gonna say the moments past for a family photo Dylan, but it looks like Knux and his new twin have come back! Quick, everyone pose before they run off again!" (ooc: True, but his has messed with the world pretty badly! *Skye pats Shadow in a comforting way on the back.*

Hearing his request, the kids flanked Locke and both hugged him tightly. "Don't worry Daddy. If weird things didn't happen life would be boring." (ooc: Heh, I know Knux. That's why I had to make Skye make that comment simply for humours sake! ;) Skye: *sniffle* but I though we were friends Uncle Shadow?" )

"Uh... Knux does know that I could probably have helped his robot friend, right?"

"Now would be a GREAT time for a family photo. Dylan, still got your camera?"

Melody's whipped her head round to look at her brother, who shrugged. "No Melody, I didn't have a Knuckles in my head as well if that's what you're thinking."

"You... You had the chance to cheat with no one knowing and you didn't take it?" "Yep!" "But, but, but, but, but...." Skye tried to process this idea and kept failing. "Oh, yeah. Something else Skye. Assuming you had help from someone about as skilled as you, how long would it take you to rig up holographic disguises for me and you?"

"Sounds good. And the best thing about that competition Dad. I won it without cheating." "Only because Glen was keeping an eye on you," muttered Skye "Oh, you mean that scanner that wouldn't work because I was illusioned? Yeah, I knew that wouldn't detect any magic I used, but I didn't cheat anyway." Once again, Skye gaped at his sister. (ooc: Wait, is knux and his soul copy thingy in the same world as everyone else now?)

"Yay Ice Cream!" cheered Skye. "This time I can have something nicer than Lemon." "Oh, yeah. I haven't told you what happened in the competition. Well...." Melody began retell the story in minute detail while Skye groaned and flatted his ears. (ooc: Knux, oh dear....)

"That sounds like a good idea. I really liked the story last night! So what are we gonna do before then?" Melody walked over to Skye, and pushed his still open mouth shut. "You said you had something to say to me." "Huh?" It took Skye a second to recover. "Oh, yeah. Melody. I, uh, wanted to apologise for being so selfish. I should have been asking about how you were coping." Melody smiled and gave her brother a playful punch on the arm. "That doesn't matter silly. You don't expect me to tell my secrets to my baby brother do you?"

Melody was disappoint not to get an answer straight away, but did her best to hide it. "I understand Dad. I hope I didn't ruin the holiday with this." Skye still just kept staring at his sister. (ooc: Yeah, but it doesn't address the issue of 'that kid looks and sounds like Mina and that kid looks and sounds like Tails, down to the same previously unique mutation')

I've also had a dream with end credits, only mine had a happier ending. It was about some organised crime gang that had stolen a way of downloading human minds into electronic devices. And there was a final showdown at a construction site.

Blushing a little at being called cutie, Melody sprinted into the hotel, calling out 'Thanks Rouge' as she went. "I think we should try and find her, just to make sure..." Skye started saying just as Melody ran into the room. "Melody! There you are. Uh, there's something I want to say to you." "Is this really important Skye? Because there's something I need to ask Dad." Skye shook his head. "You go first." "Thanks Skye." Melody took a deep breath. "Ok, Mom, Dad. I've been thinking about what you said about trying to think about what I want to do with my life now. And... an idea did pop into my head, and it would let me use the skills I have. But... I don't know if I can do it. Dad, I need a straight answer from you. Can you train me to be a Guardian?" Skye's mouth dropped open. (ooc: I do like the idea of the kids being mistaken for their alt world parents... As long as the truth doesn't get out.... Hmm, though of a possible half-truth that would cover all the bases, Rather than saying Skye and Melody are Tails and Mina's kids from another Zone, just say they ARE Tails and Mina from a very, very different Zone. Maybe say that Zone is now destroyed?)

(ooc: but the downside with this plot, and why I don't want to do it, is the moral quandary. Say Locke says something that means Tails and Mina don't get together. Instead they each marry some else, and have different families. Yet Skye and Melody still exist because of their armbands. What happens then? Can you justify wiping out two happy families to restore just one?)
