"Zet gasped with the pain. "Yeah, I can. But how will you get back?" -------------------------------- "Shadow? Shadow? Hmm, it appears he hung up. No matter." Miles walked over two the set of Star Posts and began typing in coordinates as Mina arrived back. "I think I made poor little Shadow a little frustrated. Oh, what are you looking at." Mina looked over Miles shoulder at the profile on the computer screen, one for Hope. "The information we took from the Freedom HQ computer has been invaluable. And it turns out GUN in the Prime Zone have been working on a set of Star Posts of their own. If Shadow keeps coming, I saw you pay his little Overlander friend a visit."

Once inside the castle Mina sprung from Miles grasp, almost fully recovered except for the wounded arm, and even that seemed to be healing. Miles switched off the radio. "You were faking?" he asked. "Only the last little distance. I've got my breath back now. And an idea." Mina whispered something to Miles then sprinted off. Miles grinned and reopened the radio channel. "You know I can't tell you that Shadow. Showing my hand early, that sort of thing. You said earlier you had no one your cared about. Let's see how much of that is true. What is more important? Tying up this 'loose end' or..." ---------------------- Zet was lining up a shot, ready to take out Alicia when Mina came swooping out of the trees behind him. He barely had time to turn before she was on him. Her knife flashed and Zet screamed. Mina sped off before Omega could get a lock on. -------------- "Getting your friend to safety before he bleeds to death." Miles finished. (ooc: Ouch, that's kinda harsh Knux. Well, have fun while you are here, and hope collage ain't gonna be too difficult. And as if to prove Dylan's point...)

"Dad... But... But... This IS our original colour..." Skye was starting to sound a little hysterical. "Skye, we didn't somehow shift Zones when we blacked out did we?" whispered Melody. --------------------------------- Miles just stared at the carnage behind him in disbelief. Not at what he'd seen, they're been worse on Moebius. But the fact a Prime Zoner was even capable of such actions... He regained his composure now that he'd reached the castle. "Oh, they did all they needed to do Shadow. Slow you down. Now then, what's all this about? You're putting a surprising amount of effort into killing us." (ooc: Ok, looking at the Suppression Squad membership, where we are in the timeline, and making some advanced guesses, the membership would consist of: Queen Alicia Acorn (Sally with a whip) Boomer (cyborg Rotor with sonic cannons in his arms) Patch (Antoine missing an eye) Buns Robbot (Bunny, but instead of cybernetics pilots a battle-suit that looks like Omega. Yes, I am going on the assumption she rejoins the Squad after Scourge is gone. And killing Alica... hmmm.... what impact would that have on the kid's memories I wonder.)

(ooc: Oh! Sorry Shadow, I keep forgetting you haven't read the comics, so, erm, that makes this tricky without some explinations, so in this case lets just say that wave one is basic mooks.)

(ooc: Okay, that may have been a mistake. I've got far to many character to control already without needing to add all the main Moebians in the Suppression Squad, Anyone else wanna run them?)

Mina almost shrieked as one of Shadow's wild shots caught her in the arm. "Hold on Mina, I won't let them hurt you again." Carefully, Miles pulled out a radio as he got near the edge of the tree line. "Suppression Squad come in. If you want to keep your favourite assassin alive and kick some arrogant Prime Zoner asses, you better get a move on."

"Dad, why is everyone talking as if something's wrong with us? It's scaring me." "Us, Skye," Melody clarified, taking hold of Skye's hand. "But why were they talking about rituals? We've been this colour since we were born." "Mother wasn't." "WHAT!?!" "It's like your speed. You were born with it, Mother got it from one of Father's rituals. The colour happened the same way." "How do you know this?" "I, erm, may have had a peek at some of Father's research notes," Skye explained bashfully. ----------------------- Zet lined up his shot and moved his finger towards the trigger.... 'Officer Zet, Officer Zet. Report in. Immediately.' Zet's radio erupted with noise, causing Zet to curse. In the clearing, Miles heard the commotion of the radio, and with the paranoia necessary for living on Moebius, took flight with Mina without even looking at the source of the noise, weaving through the trees. "Hold on Mina. We're not far from the castle, then we'll have backup." (ooc: Wow, Miles has left a lasting impression on the group. And this little jaunt is causing something of a ruckus!)

"No problem Shadow," replied Zet as he set up his own rifle, grinning. "One shot and all my problems will be over," he whispered to himself. ------------------------------ Mina was lying on the ground, utterly drained, Miles doing his best to comfort her. "Don't worry. You just need a rest and you'll be fine. It'll be alright, I promise." "I... I don't understand. I thought I knew what I was doing." "You're still adapting to your new powers. It'll be a while before using them doesn't sap your energy. If at all, given the spell was interrupted. C'mon, I'll take you somewhere safe." Miles gently picked up Mina and got ready to fly off. ----------------------------- "Dye job? What dye job? I know we've been playing around with illusions today, but we've stopped that now." "I still can't believe that idiot in the cloths shop thought I was Mina," muttered Melody, "It's not like I LOOK like her."

Both Kid's gratefully took the tea, "Thanks Dad", "Thanks Daddy," and began sipping away. "I don't know what happened back at the ice cream shop, but we're a lot better now." "Yeah, it almost feels like that whole thing never happened."

(ooc: ok, night Shadow!.)

"Skye, why is everyone staring at us?" "I really wish I knew. It's creeping me out." "Darn, I left my ice cream unfinished. Do you think I can go back an get it?" "It's probably melted by now." (ooc: Just realised, this is the second RP that Shadow has caused weird time based shenanigans to change Skye and Melody! Are you wanting to do a hunt across Moebius Shadow, or just have your group tracking for a while?)

(ooc: I have a way out, though it might be making Mina a Mary-Sue somewhat, so I'm sorry. As for the pics, erm, I honestly don't know. For mass confusion, those who remember Skye and Melody's old colours see them as orange/yellow, while Skye and Melody (and anyone else who doesn't realise they've transformed) sees them as red/black) "I think these new powers could do with a test drive. And it might not be safe staying around here." "Are you sure, after what happened..." "I think you may have transferred a little of Shadow's knowledge of how to uses these gifts." Mina grabbed Miles by the arm. "Let's see if I can pull off that little teleporting trick of his... CHAOS CONTROL!" --------------------------- "I couldn't care less what happens to those brats. Let's take them out." --------------------------- "I don't know what happened but... different?" Skye and Melody looked at each other then themselves. "What do'ya mean, 'different'? Skye, you haven't cast an illusion that we can't see have you?" "No. I was in too much pain to cast any spells."

"Mi... Miles? What h-happened?" "Mina... are you?" Miles began, but the words died in his mouth when he saw Mina. "Oh, this is different..." Mina looked at her new appearance. Her yellow fur and purple hair were now black and red. "I think the spell went wrong when I was shot, and I transferred a bit more than just powers." "Nevermind Miles," said Mina as one of her hands started glowing with Chaos Energy. "I got what I was after." -------------------- "I just prayed that @$%&£ would go down with Nega. That would'va solved all our problems." -------------------- "I... I don't know, Dylan." Melody managed to gasp out. "It like..." She didn't get a change to finish before another wave of pain hit. Both children seemed to ripple out of existence for a few moments, and when they stabilised both children looked different. Melody fur was now black, though her hair remained the same purple as before, while the dull orange of Skye had been replace with a dark red. Skye opened his eyes. "Melody, are you ok?" Melody picked herself up. "Yeah, I'm fine Skye. I don't feel woozy at all now. What happened at the ice cream shop?" "I wish I knew. I've no idea." (ooc: Ok, my madcap plan is that Skye and Melody don't know they've changed (i.e. they've always looked like this) but everyone else knows that this is a change. Except maybe Red and Crowley, as they are also from the future. That's up to Locke and Shadow respectively.)

"Oh, this is just about convenience, nothing more," said Mina. Behind her, Miles face briefly lost its disdainful look for one of childish disappointment, but quickly recomposed himself. "Let's get this over with." Miles raised his arms and magical energy began flowing through the room. ----------------------------------------------------------- Melody screamed and fell hard to the ground, once more clutching her head.. Skye, already kneeling on the floor, crumpled and tucked himself into a foetal position, whimpering. (ooc: Kinda amusing just how true Shadow words are, given he knows how this will play out in a few decades time. Up to you Shadow how the ritual goes from here for Shadow.)

"Hmph," Miles snorted, "I know what I'm doing, don't worry." "No need to be so angry Shadow." Mina smiled and gave him a poke, "you'll be free to go after this. I always keep my word. Like when I say that if you try to back out, those close to you will suffer." The innocent smile never left her face as Miles strapped Shadow down to a table. "What about the other?" "Oh, he can go back with Shadow. He's no threat. Though, I did get the feeling he was hoping I'd be killed on this little errand." Zet eyes opened wide. Mina lay down on a table nearby, while Miles set up a large crystalline structure between the two. (ooc: part of me wants to go for it to solve the 'mistake for others' issue, and another part just to mind screw with everyone. And this IS RPM, so it can be easily undone after all.)

Mina waited by the statute for the other two to arrive, then cried out. "Now Miles." There was a bright flash as a paralysing spell triggered, and the ground underneath Shadow and Zet opened up. Despite the long fall, the landing was surprisingly soft. "I'm sorry about this, Mr Black. But there was a chance you wouldn't pay and, well, I've a Rep to maintain." Another figure stepped forward, arms crossed and looking disdainful at Shadow and Zet. Given that the last time Shadow had seen Miles was as an adult, the child didn't have quite the same presence. "So this is the Prime Shadow? Not much to look at. We should just kill him once we're done." "No Miles. He hired me to do a job, so as long as he forfills the payment he's free to go." (ooc: might just be my semi-sleepy state, but I'm wanting to go for the process working idea now...)

"I would be best if Mr Red stayed behind though. I'm not sure what effect proximity to the process would have on a robot. It might mess up his circuits." And with that Melody started leading the way back to the statue.

The group re-appeared on Moebius. "Now that we're here, I believe there is the small matter of payment. Don't worry Mr , you won't be harmed by the process at all."

"No I'm not R...Mom. I can't... it's difficult to remember anything. It's like my memories keep slipping away and changing."

"Back to Moebius then. I think the rest of the crew can take things from here." Zet fired up the teleporter.

"Either the blood loss got him or the explosion. I'm just sorry I couldn't bring back the head as proof. I don't like to leave loose ends." ------------------------ Both kids seemed unsure about where they were, as if they'd never been to the hotel before.

"Awww, such unexpected concern. Don't worry I'm fine." said a voice from behind Shadow. Mina was sitting casually behind them, trying not to show just how drained she was using Miles teleport amulet.

"Darn it, the transporter log is locked. At least it's short range. Ok, toss a few bombs down this shaft... Now, RUN LIKE HELL!" Mina sprinted towards the window and down the side of the fortress.

"Either going well or she already failed. I wish I knew. But the robots are still attacking so I don't think she's succeeded yet." (ooc: What do you think. Will she find the infirmary or blow the place up?"

Mina let out a stream of imaginative curse words, then sprinted over to the computer. If she couldn't find where Nega had gone, she'd overload the reactor. --------------------------------- "Do we... look like... we're bloody faking..." growled Skye.
