Whoa, I graduated from Uni five years ago. You guys are making me feel ancient!
-
"Good idea. Thank you Shadow. Heading out will be much better than sitting here brooding."
-
"O-okay, questions, q-questions..." murmured Skye, "What are your hobbies?" blurted out Melody. Skye looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "Well, Dad asked me that earlier." ----------------------------- "Thank goodness he's okay. And it's not your fault. Zet should have known what he was getting into."
-
"GUN infirmary? How bad...?" Ziona's voice held of tone of concern, but muted through asking similar questions all to often.
-
"T-thank's Dad." "Thank you Daddy." Both children sat down, the looked at each other. "Uh, s-s-so, where d-do we start?" ----------------------------- Ziona opened the door, looked at Shadow and sighed. "Let me guess, you and Zet did your 'lets take out Nega' plan? Does Zet have any idea how much trouble he's in? If I see him, I've been ordered to arrest him!"
-
"G-good idea," said Skye as he headed towards the room. "I can a-always conjure u-up some e-extra funiture if w-we need it." "Showoff." "P-pot, kettle, black."
-
"S-so, uh, where d-do we begin?" "How about with getting some chairs so we're not all standing around?"
-
"Actually, yeah t-talking would b-be good. We a-are a f-family but, w-well, we d-don't know t-that much a-about e-each other." "Ahem, I know you Skye." "I was m-meaning b-beside us Melody."
-
"Melody w-will. S-she always d-does. D-dunno about m-me." "Nevermind that, what are we gonna do? What are families meant to do together?"
-
"Maybe t-the whole m-messing with time t-thing also messed w-with our body clocks s-so we think it's morning," Skye mused.
-
"Aww, b-but I d-don't feel tired a-at all." "Can we stay up a bit longer Daddy? Pllllleeeease?"
-
"Yeah, i-isn't it. W-well, now e-everything's been s-sorted, let's g-get back to enjoying o-ourselves." Melody turned around, trying to stifle a small giggling fit.
-
Skye walked back to Locke. "It's okay Dad. Uncle Shadow and I are still friends."
-
"Or c-can u-unplug them. Anyway, w-we're on holiday. L-let's not worry a-about it now. Let get b-back to everyone." ---------------------- "Oh yeah he looks fine. I was meaning more messed up in the head. Though, are you any messed up after having Mom in your head."
-
"I'm p-pretty sure they c-can. But I g-guess they p-probably need the s-starposts for something."
-
"T-there n-nothing that connects y-you to H-haven so he s-shouldn't travel there. Though I don't k-know about the star p-posts in F-freedom HQ though."
-
"I w-wouldn't b-be so sure Shadow. Father h-had access to F-freedom HQ a while... a-actually quite r-recently at t-this time, so i-if they had d-data on Haven..." ------------------ "You're probably right. At least he has all of us now. I just hope having me stuck in his head had affected him in any way."
-
"It w-wouldn't be the f-first t-time Father has come here, a-and I guess it w-won't be the l-last. I-I'll just need t-to stay out of sight w-when that happens." ------------------------ "I'll try and be there for him. But I think he need to learn to let me go. He's too clingy on me."
-
"Were s-still a-alive, nothing's d-different except our c-colours, and as l-long as M-mother and Father d-din't find out a-about us, e-everything will b-be fine." -------------------------- "I think he did. But if you've forgiven him, I pretty sure he'll be alright."
-
"Shadow, y-you..." Skye looked confused, trying to come to terms with the mess of emotions he was feeling. "P-part of me w-wants to h-hate you f-for what you d-did, but I-I c-can't. Y-you s-saved my l-life, you helped m-me. And y-you didn't mean f-for this to h-happen. I think I-I know how g-guiltily you must feel, but please d-don't. I forgive you U-uncle Shadow." Skye tried to give Shadow a reassuring smile. "But I-I wouldn't look f-for a w-way to change w-what happened." Skye continued "It might j-just make t-things w-worse." ------------------------------------ "Please tell me you and Skye are still good Daddy. I know how much the guilt was driving him crazy."
-
"Uh... Y-yeah I g-guess so. Better sooner t-than l-later right?"
-
"Y-yeah, good i-idea," Skye kept smiling. "I c-could do with some f-fresh air. What a-about.... Oh, M-melody's gone a-again." Skye stuck his head out the bedroom door. "T-there you a-are Melody... Oh.... um.... Hi S-shadow...."
-
Skye gave a completely carefree smile, for possibly the first time. "Your t-the bestest D-Dad. I j-just h-hope e-everyone else h-has calmed d-down. T-things did g-get a little c-crazy out there." -------------------------------- "You might find out soon. By the sound of things the crying's stopped. I'm sure you two will patch things up."
-
"I-I guess s-so. It w-was lucky t-that I did b-bump my h-head then. Thank's Dad, f-for everything." ------------------------ "Oh, I think we can say I've been successfully bribed Shadow. Skye might be a tougher proposition though!"
-
"Y-you... You d-don't mind? I-I thought y-you'd be heartbroken i-if you t-though I h-had just been pretending w-when you first t-took me in. I j-just couldn't take the g-guilt then w-when Glen y-yelled at me a-about being s-selfish after a-all y-you've done..." -------------------------- "You might have to!" Melody gasped for air. " 'cause in some ways it's true now. If Me and Skye got our colours from you, in a way that does make you our Uncle!"
