"Hmm. Melody's b-birthday is... was o-on the 11th of t-the 2nd. Do w-we still use t-that, or g-go w-with her a-actual age w-which w-would put h-her birthday... on the 4th o-of the 10th."
-
"Hmm, well, M-melody was j-just a few w-weeks away from t-turning twelve b-before s-s-she... s-s-she.... a-and t-that w-was.... uh.... around a y-year and a half ago I t-think. What i-is the date?
-
"I g-guess we'll find o-out i-in a y-year or... hmm, actually, h-how d-does dying affect h-her birthday I w-wonder? Or M-mom's or Crowley's after b-being s-stuck in my h-head for t-that matter."
-
"Well, t-the only w-way Melody w-would become m-messed up was if s-she became calm a-and reasonable."
-
"I b-bet Dad w-will j-just love i-it if t-that happened!" Skye joked.
-
"Heh heh. V-very true. T-though Shadow and Glen d-did s-say that could h-happen in a f-few years."
-
Skye managed a giggle. "Heh. I h-hope I d-didn't inherit some o-of his charming p-personalty t-traits from t-that ritual."
-
"That's g-good," Skye grinned, "And I-I hope Crowley d-doesn't hold b-back. W-what she d-did to Hope was u-unforgivable." Skye blinked, his grin faded and, had they not been hidden by the cap, his ears drooped. "H-huh boy."
-
"That's g-great. T-thank's again," said Skye as he began to dry himself with a towel, carefully to avoid reopening the wound. "Are y-you going t-to be c-coming back w-with me o-or will y-you stay here?"
-
"T-thank's Auntie Rouge. Though i-it's not the f-first time, but t-that was b-because Mother d-didn't l-like obvious i-injures at the d-dinner table. I t-think I've got it t-though, unless there's m-more blood o-on my b-back."
-
Skye gave a broad grin that he'd managed to cheer Hope up. Excusing himself, he walked over to a sink while peeling off his bandage and had a look at the wound. It seemed to be small and out of sight, even if it had been deeper than he'd though. But all he needed to do was wash the blood out of his fur and there'd be no evidence. He grabbed a cloth and got to work.
-
"Obviously i-it knew I-I was coming a-and decided to w-wait."
-
"T-thank's Hope. I'll t-try not t-to bring disaster w-with me n-next time." ------------------------------ Melody tried to answer Glen but her voice stammered slightly, as it always did when addressing new people. Even though this Glen wasn't exactly 'new'. "I need to... tell you both... something... but I'll... start by telling you.... I'm sorry... I made such a.... scene and that I.... wanted to eviscerate you."
-
"There y-you go. Y-you're smiling a-again!" ------------------------- Melody headed out towards the main room. "Glen, uh, Glens? Are you out here?"
-
"N-nothing to be s-sorry about," Skye said with a smile. "E-everyone's alive, the b-bad guy, erm, g-girl got caught, and n-nobody i-important e-even got h-hurt."
-
Skye's ear's twitched when her heard Hope crying. "Gotta g-go Zet," he exclaimed as he slid off his chair and hurried as well as he could to Hope. "Hope, p-please it's o-okay. N-nothing you d-did was y-your f-fault. Y-you've n-nothing to c-cry over, everything w-worked out." ----------------------------- "Let's get this over with then," replied Melody as she stood up. "I hate apologising."
-
Melody laughed. "Both I guess. New Glen because he didn't mean to be insulting, and old Glen because I yelled at him. They're still both idiots thought."
-
"Uh, I, uh, I-I dunno what to s-say," said Skye, but he walked over to Zet's bed and hopped onto a chair anyway. "H-Hi Zet." "Huh, what? Who are... Skye? What happened to you? Oh, wait. I'm know." "Y-yeah, time g-got a l-little m-messed around." "Are you here to finish your mother's work kid?" "Wha?? N-no I.. Shadow told m-me about what h-happened." Zet shot Shadow a look that Skye missed. "I k-know the t-two o-of you w-were trying to d-do something r-right. I d-dunno why y-you chose Mother b-but, but... I'm r-really sorry y-you got hurt. P-pull though this, o-okay." "Really? You want me up and about?" "Why w-wouldn't I?" Zet decided to try and change the subject. "Uh, Kid, erm, Skye... Why are you stammering?" Skye sighed. "N-now someone t-tells me!"
-
"Thank's f-for the h-help Uncle Shadow. I'm s-still a little d-dizzy. But b-better to w-walk it o-off, isn't i-it?" Skye began walking slowly along the infirmary, before a figure in another bed caught his attention. "Is t-that Zet?"
-
Skye began laughing, then winced as the action caused his wound to hurt. "Uncle Shadow, I a-alreaded asked Rouge t-to do this, b-but don't t-tell Dad a-about what happened." Skye slid off the bed and stood up, walking a little unsteadily.
-
"I t-trust Melody w-with my l-life! Just, erm, n-not with anything s-smaller than t-that." ------------------- "You came here with Skye, which means if anything happened to him..... Nononononono, you said to stop talking about that." Melody sighed. "I suppose I should apologise to Glen."
-
"I w-wrote it d-down in my diary, b-back in Haven. I k-know a bit m-more about magic n-now, so I m-might be a-able to g-get rid of t-that side-e-effect. Hmm, M-maybe Melody c-could help a-as.... No, b-bad idea! Should w-wouldn't be able t-to resist p-pranking m-me. ------------------------- "I know, I know. But I though Glen was gonna let slip the truth to his copy, and every extra person who knows could mess things up. Doubly so for someone close to one of our parents. Uh, their parents, I mean"
-
"I d-did find a w-way to suppress i-it. I was a-able to d-design a r-ritual that didn't r-require i-incantations to cast i-it. Though t-there is a s-side-effect. E-even though i-it removes m-my s-stammer, I still h-hear myself s-stammering." ------------------------ Melody gave a little chuckle. "The thing is, I don't know what I want. Part of me does want to go, do see how different things could be. But I'm scared because, well, of who she is. And if me or Skye did anything to change her future, that would have an impact on our past. I know that Father treated us the way he did because of our Prime counterparts, so if anything happened to them..."
-
Skye looked as if he was about to argue, then didn't. "I... I-I suppose t-that makes s-sense. A-and y-you are right a-about it b-being natural. I j-just normally h-have it suppressed." ----------------------------- Melody was sitting arms folded on the bed, back turned towards Red. "It not the new singer Glen I'm mad at, it's our one. I was trying to find an excuse that wouldn't endanger timeline and result in paradoxes, and he had to go 'oh no you are lying' on front of everyone." (ooc: prob won't be online for most of the day I'm afraid.)
-
"Fine then," Melody snapped at Glen with a glare, before storming off from the table. "Why don't you just explain EVERYTHING to him!" she shouted back, slamming her bedroom door behind her.
