Skye Prower

As the emerald glowed brighter Skye saw it shimmering off the pages in his book. He gave a shy little smile as he continued reading. (ooc: If I remember correctly Ziona is on the beach, probably napping at this stage! And I've just realised, Skye is probably being watch from Haven. Kid isn't being as sneaky as he thinks!)

(ooc: I wasn't planning on having Tikal actually appear, but if someone wants to play her, feel free. Also, the image of Shadow playing mini-golf.... hilarious.)

Skye landed to the top of the shrine. He sat down next to the Master Emerald. Feeling a little silly, he began talking. "Hello Tikal. I, uh, don't know if you can hear me. It's me, Skye, remember. Yeah, I, uh, probably look a bit different from when we last talked. But everything different now. I have my sister back, and a proper family now and... and I'm trying to make up for all the... terrible things I've done. But I don't want to go on and on about me. I... uh... came because... I thought you might get lonely and... uh... would want some company. If not, well I'm sure you'll find some way to shut me up." With that, Skye opened his book and began to read out loud.

"If... If you're sure Dad. I'll see you later." Skye exited the penthouse and made his way out the hotel. Once out of sight of the crowds outside, he took flight and began flying towards the Master Emerald shrine.

"Hey, cheer up Dad. Everything's going great!" Skye tried to comfort Locke, not realising what was causing him to be down. Skye was suddenly extra thankful that he'd not told Locke what had happened at GUN that morning.

"Work's out the same way in the end though, doesn't it. No need to sugercoat it." But Skye was giving a 'it doesn't matter now' smile as he headed for the hotel room door. "Just a story book, I want to find a nice quiet spot to read it." Once again, Skye was happy his cap was hiding his ears as he lied.

Skye blinked and took a moment to take in what Locke said. "Yeah, I'm just finding it weird that she's acting normal. Though I guess she'd think vis versa as well," Skye said with a laugh. "We're really messed up , aren't we?" Skye joked rhetorically. He entered his bedroom and came out a moment later with a storybook.

"The latter one," Skye replied. "Though not so much she'd excel, just that'd she'd do it in the first place."

Skye pressed his ear against the door. "I can't hear any music, so it's not the CD, is definitely her. I guess that why she's hiding in her room. But... but.... " Skye's brain tried and failed to take in this new revelation about his sister.

"Thanks Dad. If you need me..." Skye scribbled something on a piece of paper, "that's the frequency for my personal radio. I just want to grab something before I go." Skye handed the paper to Locke, then began heading towards his room. But as Skye passed his sister's door, he paused with a shocked look on his face. "Can I hear Melody SINGING?" he exclaimed.

"Uh, okay then Dylan," said Skye shrugging, then he turned to Locke. "If you don't need me I'd like to head out for a while if that's ok. Stretch my tails a bit."

The confused look on Skye's face became even more pronounced. "Attempted? Attempted what?"

Skye looked confused. "Why does everyone keep lumping Glen and Ziona together?"

"If she's coming, should I stay out of sight until you've, well, explained things? I think Melody's gonna be staying in her room for a bit so you don't need to worry about her."

"You missed quite a bit. There's another Glen and his girlfriend. I missed the apparent fireworks though" Skye explained as he walked back into the main room. "If he's on vacation, can't he do what he wants?" asked Skye to Rouge.

Skye grabbed Dylan by the hand. "C'mon, there's more people to meet now!" "Cool!" exclaimed Melody. She grabbed a selection and hurried into her room. "Yeah, well they're not spying on you," Skye retorted to Glen.

Skye went over to Dylan's door and knocked. "Hello. Dylan? Are you in there?"

(ooc: That's just the noise I imagined the teleport would make. Correct me if I'm wrong! ;) ) "I'm sure I can get through a greatest hits compilation or something before then. If I can find one. Does this hotel have a music database?" asked Melody. "If Dylan's back that means everyone's here. Well, except the freaky Zone Cops, but they don't matter."

Skye raised his cap slightly, allowing one ear to poke out. "Did anyone else hear a 'vorp' from Dylan 's room?"

"Heh. I hope so. Do'ya think I should actually listen to some of her music before I meet her? Otherwise it might be a little odd."

"That's what I went for last time," Melody whispered back. "Here's hoping Glen doesn't call me out on it again!"

"No problem at all Hope. And any-time you want a more direct hand, just give me a call." Skye looked around and saw his sister nearby. "What's up Melody? You're not normally this quiet." "Oh, Glen is just going to take me to meet M... Mina later." Skye just stared at his sister, who hurried over to him. "You're not going to freak-out again are you?" Melody whispered to her brother. "No, I think I'm passed that. Now it's just normal shock."

"I hope you find it useful," said Skye with an ecstatic grin. "It might vary depending on how strong the ambient magic is at GUN, but it should have enough magical energy to sustain a single model for maybe five hours in a day, give or take. Obviously, more models will drain it quicker. Oh, and to dismiss a model, hold the amulet near it and think the word backwards."

"I had a great time Mom. It might have been uneventful, but I got to spend time in a cool hi-tech lab!" Unlike Melody, the lie from Skye was perfectly smooth and believable. Only his ears gave away the fact he was lying, and they were hidden underneath the baseball cap.
