Skye Prower

(ooc: Ziona? Good question. I will admit I'm not that keen on the Zone Cop characters, which is why I keep them in the background most of the time. Ziona is currently enjoying a day at the beach, which means she'll show up 1) if someone goes to the beach, 2) sometime around early evening when she heads back or 3) when someone browbeats me into bringing her back in! ;) )

(ooc: I don't think I can bring myself to break them. At least not for a long time. This is their 'happy ending' moment for now, and nothing will take that from them. Nice lovely tune btw.) Skye wasn't aware that Tikal had woken up again. He still just watched the view, not wanting to do anything to break this moment. ------------------------ "Oh yeah. Not as realistic as I'd like, but that's part of the fun.... Oh, NO FAIR, you've got longer reach than me!" complained Melody as she struggled to get her character close enough to unleash his more powerful attacks.

Issue 209. While she was Iron Nicole, and inside cyberspace. Dunno if she can do it outside in the real world. Implied she can't, but as he has an artificial body, who knows.

Skye blinked in surprise. "I was expecting that," he said softly to himself under his breath, "I didn't think ghosts needed to sleep." He smiled, and gently pushed back one of Tikal's dreadlocks from where it had fallen on front of her face. He leaned back against the Master Emerald, staring happily over the ocean below, completely content. ------------------------ "Nothing's gonna stop me this time," Melody boasted as the round began. (ooc: I prefer the vanilla ending over the DX, it left things more ambiguous. And it was not the bird thing I was referring to. And anyway, I think it might have gone beyond that now.)

"Yes Tikal?" asked Skye. ------------------ "Okay, it is ON now," responded Melody as she turned back to the game. (ooc: nice scene shift with the cake reference Shadow, I like it!)

Skye held Tikal tight and stroked her head, his own eye's not entirely tear free. "Shh, It's okay. Everything will be alright from now on." --------------------- "Normally I am good at multitasking, just... let's not bring up my past. But I'm sure I can persuade Dad to get me a copy. Though, in the meantime maybe we should play something a little less... expensive?" (ooc: it has been an interesting time Dylan. And the more i read of the Shadow/Rouge posts the more I laugh. And if anyone's interested, this is the tune I've been playing in the background while I write the Skye/Tikal posts. I chose it because, well, without spoiling stuff, if you've played the game you know what this song means, and I though their relationship would end up the same way to begin with )

(ooc: I'd though Tikal was closer to 13 when the whole 'trapped in the emerald' thingy happened. Shrug, not that it really matters.) Hearing what Tikal said fired Skye's brain back into action. 'Love with a girl? That's sissy. And gross. Girls are weird.' 'It doesn't matter if it's sissy. You can't tell her that. You can't hurt her feelings at all.' 'You do love her, and that's a good thing,' broke in a third, for want of a better description, voice. 'You love her, and if you accept that you'll both be happy.' "That's it," Skye whispered back, finally realising what all his mixed up feeling had been about. "I... I love you too Tikal. More than I ever thought was possible for me. I never realised what was happening, but it doesn't matter. We're here now, and that's all that's important. And I'll take good care of your heart, I promise." He hugged Tikal back just as tightly. ---------------------------- "I, um, ah, I did a lot of acrobatics in the past," Melody mumbled. Distracted, she made a few glaring errors in the game. "Ah, dammit!" she exclaimed and pulled her full concentration back to the game. (ooc: don't be silly Shadow. She'd get you to steal the 7 chaos emeralds first. There's a proper order to stealing things you know! :P )

Whatever Skye had been expecting, it hadn't been that. When Tikal kissed him his whole brain overloaded, but he didn't care. He felt happy, happier than he'd ever been before. Sure he'd felt happy before with all the wonderful things that had happened recently, but that had always been tempered by his guilt and remorse. Now he felt like that didn't matter. Tikal was all that mattered. "I want to be with your forever," he whispered to Tikal. (ooc: All aboard, raise anchor. And to think I once swore I'd never be a shipper. :wacko: ) ---------------------------- "OK, got it," said Melody, as she started jabbing away at the buttons, with amateurish enthusiasm. (ooc: slight mood whiplash there!)

"We both feel the same way, but what does it mean. I don't understand. But at the same time, I don't think that matters." On a sudden, unexpected whim, Skye reached out to take a-hold of Tikal's hand. (ooc: depends what you mean by slip. Though if this were anything other than an RP, I'd be expecting Eggman to show up at any second to ruin the moment. :P ) ---------------------------- "Okay, so, how does this work?" asked Melody as she jabbed randomly at the buttons, watching the figure on screen move. (ooc: well that's an interesting match-up.)

"That sounds like a good idea," replied Skye, ignoring the voice in his head that was screaming 'No No No' at him. Skye started out over the ocean below the floating island, trying to work out how to put what he was feeling into words. "You're... you're special to me Tikal. I think... we've a lot in common, even if it doesn't seem that way at first. And I really care about you. I think...." Skye paused, surprised by what he'd just realised. "I think... I think I care more deeply for you than even Melody." (ooc: and to put that into perspective, Skye was willing to destroy a universe in the off-chance it might save his sister. Plus, they do have a lot in common. Both have tragic back-stories, both are fundamentally nice people (even if Skye lost that for a while), both are incredibly lonely, both feel they have to make up for what happened in the past, and both are arguably the cutest characters in the franchise!) ---------------------------- (ooc: I think it's more funny to have a celebrity based game. I wonder who collects the royalties for using the freedom fighters?) Melody took a long look at the character the game had chosen for her, a coyote wielding a sword. "You know," she muttered to herself, "if he was older and had an eyepatch..."

"I'll... I'll certainly try to help, but my head feels a little weird. I'm not really sure if the logic part is working right now, if it was a computer I'd just be getting error messages from it." ---------------------- "Hmm. I don't know. So that's what I'll choose," said Melody, as she selected the 'random' option. (ooc: so what characters ARE available? Is this essentially a celebrity beat-em-up in this world, or made up characters?)

Skye gave an almost shy laugh. "If you like it, then I'm really glad I said it." 'I really am feeling weird. But it's not a bad weird. But why, why, why? Maybe it's something like what Shadow and Glen were talking about? But they said that'd be years away yet.' thought Skye, still trying to rationalise what was going on, and still missing the obvious. ------------------ "I.. dunno I've never played before. I guess the two of us could play as Hope is having fun with her game, and it wouldn't be fair for you to just stand around." (ooc: Never played fighters, don't know anything about it actually. But given Melody probably hasn't seen a computer game before, let alone played one... yeah, forgone conclusion... Shame she really, really doesn't like losing...)

"I'm... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you blush." Skye exclaimed, hoping she didn't mind. His mind began running through what had just happened. 'Did I really just call her pretty? Eww, that's sissy stuff. But it is true.... What is WRONG with me?' he thought to himself. -------------------------- "Uh.... possibly a little too much Hope. Not the hitting button kind though. But I'll give it a go Honey."

"Huge doesn't cover it," said Melody as she began wandering through. "I was right, Skye would love this place. I wonder what he's up to?" She paused for a moment to watch a martial arts fighting game being played. "Hmph, you can that fighting?" she muttered to herself.

"Cool. Lead the way." (ooc: Actually, I can, just getting a bit TOO into it... :P )

"I... Yeah, your right. I mean, I spent almost a year alone wandering through different Zones till I ended up here. I know, compared to you that's nothing. But I had some idea what you were going through. And it's not something anyone should experience. Especially someone as nice and pretty as you." ------------------------ "I think the arcade would be more Skye's thing, but there might be something there we can all enjoy.. If not, as Honey said, there's bound to be something else." (ooc: so I spent a second or two pondering what Melody might enjoy at an arcade.... Dance Dance revolution or some-such anyone?)

"What do you mean about me?" Skye asked. ----------------- "I know, but, well, there wasn't many vacation centres where I grew up, so I don't know what there is to do!" Melody explained. "So unless I throw a dart at a list of the options or something, I've no idea."

(ooc: That might still be an idea Dylan, just incase Melody, Hope and Honey try to be sneaky and not record their own songs!) "As long as you're happy," said Skye, "that's all that's important.'" ------------------------------ "Hmm, I dunno. What's there to see or do on the island?" asked Melody.

"I'm sure you will. I'll make sure you're never lonely again." Skye gave a reassuring smile as he refilled his plate, and poured himself a mix of the apple and orange juice. ----------------- Melody giggled. "Yeah, it'll be safe there."

"Well Knux has... actually I'm not sure what's happened to him but he seems to be being flung randomly through different Zones. But I'm surprised the Guardians would leave you alone at all. If they had that link they must have know you wanted company." --------------------- "Wow. Nice room! Ok, where can we hide it? We don't want Glen stumbling over it by accident."

Skye ate in silence for a while. "So Tikal," he finally spoke up, "I'd uh, love to know more about you. Um, I mean, until a few days ago I didn't even know that was anyone inside the Emerald." ------------------------- "If it doesn't you can bring it back and demand a refund. It says it does."

"Oh I'm pretty sure I am," replied Melody with a matching grin.

Skye was blushing again at Tikal's compliments, and was extremely glad his fur was crimson. "T-thank's Tikal. You deserve it. I just hope you like them." He handed Tikal a plate, and loaded a plate of his own with a selection of food before pouring himself a cup of tea and offering Tikal one. ------------------------------------- "Album eh Hope. I've another idea. Does it have a record function?" asked Melody with a mischievous grin. "cause if it does, we aren't gonna tell any of them, okay?"

"You've been in the emerald a long time, I think you deserve more than a few treats.... Wait, what do you me by 'me in the menu'?" Skye asked with innocent confusion. "I didn't cook any part of myself!" ------------------------ "We might want to warn Dylan to have his camera ready," Melody pondered, "he loves taking shots of people looking shocked or embarrassed."

"I, um, well, I... you didn't say whether you ate or not, so just in case I went for a large choice so there'd hopefully be something you liked," Skye explained. ----------------- "We should probably take this stuff back to the hotel first, rather than lugging it with us as we walk around."
