Skye Prower

(ooc: Oh unless Locke starts to worry about where the heck Skye is and tries to call him. Doubt I'll actually write out the story skye is reading, unless there's a massive clamour to do so or something. And even then I'll probably just write out passages from a Poirot book but change the names/species.) -------------------- "Oh really?" Melody took a good look at the booth. "This sounds like a fun challenge." -------------- "It's the closest, so lets give it a shot. They're probably used to have to deal with problems from the beach."

"Heh heh. Okay." And Skye began to read. ------------------ "That's great Hope. Well done," Melody responded to Hope's victories. She then looked at the curtained box. "What kind of game is it?" she asked intrigued. ----------------- "Oh you are definitely NOT carrying me across the whole town. First stop is wherever we can find an ice pack. And if they do drinks as well, so much the better."

"Okay then." Skye leaned over and picked the book back up. "Now where were we? I didn't get a chance to put a bookmark in before you dropped in. Ah, here we go. Just say if you want me to shut up," Skye said as he prepared to start reading. ---------------------- "Yeah, that's more like it!" Melody exclaimed happily as the 'perfect' banner flashed over the screen. She turned around to face Hope. "How's your gaming going?" ---------------------- "So much for a relaxing day at the beach," Ziona laughed. "And just because I want ice for my foot doesn't mean I don't want a glass of something as well."

Skye laughed back. "I really hope so. I was wondering, do you want me to finish reading that story to you?" (ooc: Given how this was how the whole thing got started, I though reading together would be a nice 'catchphase' activity for them to have.) --------------- "Well I better step up my game then," Melody grinned. ---------------------- "Ziona breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank's Glen, that feels better already." She gave a sigh. "Now I'm really glad Dylan isn't around with his camera!" (ooc: Yep, it was meant to sound painful!)

Skye smiled down at her. "Yes. Yes, you did. Not sure how long you slept for though. Might have only been a few minutes." He began gently waving his finger against the tip of Tikal's nose, as if lightly dusting it. "I didn't think ghosts needed to sleep," he joked. (ooc: nothing that major, probably will be in my next post.) --------------------- "Heh heh. Good plan." Melody turned her focus back to the game. "Not long now. I might have a perfect score!" --------------- "Thanks for the save Glen," Ziona barely managed to say. "I... stood on something in the water. My foot feels like it's on fire." In the water, a small needlefish swam away. It's back was covered with a series of painful spines that were, thankfully, not poisonous, and one was missing from it's back.

(ooc: Whee, 300 pages. Moving back to Skye and Tikal, I had an idea for what might be a cute little signature couple-activity for them. It'll probably just be a little interlude with them I suspect. Right, back to the RP.) Skye was unsure how long he'd been sitting there. Half an hour? A whole hour? Maybe two? But it didn't matter. Right now all that mattered was the person in his arm. A small idea wormed its way into his head. "Tikal," he whispered gently, "are you awake?" ----------------------------- "And if they do, I'll get Dylan to hunt them down with a camera. We'll need that photo!" joked Melody ---------------------------------------------- "Well of course you would Glen. So much so you'd walk of a cliff without realising it!" Ziona dodged to try and avoid the splashes from Glen, then suddenly gave a cry of pain and fell over into the water.

Melody was laughing. "Remind me to ask Dad when we get back." ------------------------------ Ziona dived under the water, swimming past Glen and coming up behind him. "Stalking the fox boy? What did the poor cub do to deserve that?" she joked. She swung her arms to make the biggest wave should could against Glen. (ooc: I'm not a troper. I read tropes, yep, but not a troper! Cheers for the comments though. And on the subject of Zone Cops, it's not the panels they stand on. If there's no wall, they have been shown just to fall sideways till they hit something. But they also have devices to stand the normal way round, which Ziona and Zet both have.)

Melody started giggling. “Now I’m imagining all the Guardians doing this!” ------------------------------ “Because I’m not going to be around you all day every day despite all your wishes?” replied Ziona while laughing as the dunking continued. (ooc: So I’ve been pondering the Skye/Tikal relationship, and about how it formed so fast. And I realised, given some of the evidence in the comics, the speed isn’t acutally out of character at all, and is infact would would’ve actually happened. In the unlikely event your interested why, reasons below.

"Brilliant. Now I know exactly what I want for my birthday." ---------------------- "Oh, it better not be Glen," as Ziona turned and tried to dunk Glen under the water.

"Well this is definitely more my thing. Can you buy these like those fighting games?" ---------------------------- "You are NOT putting me on a calender Glen. Wait..." she spun round to face the beach. "Dylan better not be there with his camera."

"You might have noticed, I'm not that good at lying." ------------------- "You think a 'cutie-cop' won't know how to handle herself?" laughed Ziona. "Okay, maybe I'm just being silly and showing off."

"Like I said, I've done a lot of acrobatic like stuff in the past," Melody replied, so far not missing a step. ------------------------- "Hmm, someone who always put his foot in it?" Ziona joked. She took ahold of one of Glen's arms and, pushing off the seabed, flipped herself over Glen landing behind him."

"Just the way I like it," said Melody with a grin as the song kicked in. -------------------------- Ziona glanced back and saw the stares directed at Glen. "Hmph. Mobians claim to be an accepting culture, but when the come across someone actually different..." She shook her head. "C'mon Glen, what's taking you so long." she called.

"Crazy eh? I think that's an apt descriptor for me," said Melody as she leapt onto the platform. "Hmm, which song? I really liked this one when I heard it this morning." ------------------------- Ziona shook her head with amusement that Glen still seemed to be after her, then took a running start and jumped into the water.

"That... hmm.... That actually makes a lot of sense. It's probably why I got so mad just then, I was placed on a pretty high pedestal. And that was the first time I was push off." Melody gave a slight shudder. "Bad choice of metaphor," she muttered to herself. "Another game? Though, something less... aggressive this time." -------------------- Ziona placed a comforting hand on Glen's shoulder. "Glen I'm sorry. I don't think there is much I can really say. I've no idea what you've gone though, or whether you should or shouldn't feel guilt for what you done. But right now, you are alive. You need to find something to aim for. Not just indulging in the moment, but something long term to set your sights on and keep moving towards."

"I... I'm sorry Honey. I didn't mean to yell like that. I just don't. Like. To. Lose." --------------------- Ziona was about to dive into the sea, then she spun round to face Glen. "Borrowed time? What do you mean? I understand that you feel your old life is over, but why would that make you dead? Unless... have you some incurable disease?" (ooc: Poor Glen's gonna get a shock when Skye gets back. And Shadow might be waiting for a while, I don't think it's the afternoon yet!)

"Argh, DAMMIT!" Melody exclaimed, followed by an inventive stream of curse words. She took a series of deep breaths. "I'm not gonna get mad, I'm not gonna get mad... stupid game..." ---------------------- "Glen, almost half the people you are with are also stranded in a different dimension," Ziona replied with a smile. "And you shouldn't get worked up about being single. There's still plenty of time."

"S-s-sorry. I think this game might be putting me in a bad mindset," Melody apologised, he game starting to slip slightly. --------------------------- "You're right. You really need to stay off the drinks Glen, you can make sense when you're not drunk."

"First mistake. Never ever give your opponent advice when going in for the kill. And yeah, I know I just broke that rule!" --------------------------- "I sorta am sitting this out. Officially I'm still assigned to watching over those two Prower kids. I didn't take part in the attack after all. But even if I do sit out, I'm still gonna worry about my friends."

Melody began focusing on the buttons as opposed to mashing randomly, trying to find a combo to break through Honey's defence. ------------------------ "You're right Glen, I shouldn't be sitting hear brooding. Thanks" She stood up and began walking to the shore. "I just hope the rumours I heard of a conspiracy behind all of this aren't true."

'Okay, I've figured out the timing' Melody though to herself, 'now to see if I can figure out some more of these combos.' -------------------------------- "Me?" Ziona sighed. "I'm worried about Zet. And Zave. And everyone else who took part on that attack. They all thought they were doing the right thing, but I'm worried about the punishments they now face."

"Imagination eh? Well lets see if this works..." reponded Melody as she tapped at the keys. ----------------------- "Of course we're still friends silly. If anything, you should be mad at me. I was the one who led you on after all."

"I can't use more combos. I don't know what they are!" whined Melody. ------------------------- Ziona gave a start as Glen spoke, and inwardly groaned. "Hello Glen," she said managing a smile. "Feeling better after last night?"

(ooc: I hope you aren't expecting a result like Skye and Tikal for Ziona and Glen. Cause that ain't gonna happen.) "That's embarrassing, having to be reminded to use a blade," muttered Melody as she started to included the third button in her mashing. -------------------------------- Ziona was relaxing on a beach, soaking in the sun while readying a bunch of magazines. She was trying to put off seeing Zet as long as possible. Not because she didn't want to see him, quite the opposite, but because the moment she saw him, odds were a bunch of Zone Cops were watching her ready to swoop in and arrest him.

(ooc: I had to come up with semi-antagonist characters on the spot, so didn't have time to properly plan them out. And I didn't say I disliked them, said I'm not keen on them. I don't mind playing them at all, just Skye and Melody are a lot more fun, and easier, for me to RP. And on the subject of Skye, I think he and Tikal might be being quiet for quite a few posts! ) "I... didn't... know... the... rabbit... shot... lasers..." said Melody through gritted teeth as she tried to regain ground.
