Skye placed his finger under Tikal chin and gently raised her head so they looked eye to eye. "It was to me Tikal. You have no idea how much. But you've taken it away now. You are giving me more than I could possibly hope to return." ---------------------- Melody rapidly closed the gap with the second guard. She struck him with a series of rapid jabs in vulnerable spots, the first on the throat to prevent him crying out, and the guard was swiftly unconscious. Melody caught him as he fell, then glanced at the blackjack in Honey's hands and gave her a quizzical 'where did you get that?' look. --------------------- Ziona happily hugged Glen back. "You're not alone either Glen. But please, I need time to think about all this. So until then, can we stay as friends? I'm sorry it's not what you were hoping for, but right now it's the best I can do."

Skye gave a happy carefree laugh, then pulled away so he could look at Tikal. "Well I, kinda overburdened you with my past. Whenever you're ready to tell me your's, I'll be there to help you carry it." ---------------- Melody effortlessly slip into position. Having black fur was definitely an advantage when you wanted to be stealthy. ------------------ "Are you saying your not a real psychologist?" grinned Ziona. She then quickly leant forwards and gave Glen a quick peck on the cheek. "But that's all you're getting, okay!"

"I am a good person?" Skye asked himself. And suddenly he realised something he'd missed. How'd he'd acted during his brief bout of amnesia. If he had truly been an evil person, he would not have acted the way he did. He returned Tikal's embrace tightly, tears starting to form in his eyes. "I am a good person." This time it was a statement. "Thank you Tikal, thank you." ------------------------- "An unconscious guard could wake up, but I get your point. Ok, on three then?" ------------------------ "Just because I've face my problem, it hasn't magically gone away," Zonia replied. She put a friendly hand on Glen's shoulder. "But let's say your chances have improved" she smiled.

"Am I?" Skye sounded as if he might be starting to believe the idea. "I'd would love to believe that, but a good person would never have done the things I have." -------------------- "Huh, I was always told that a dead guard can't sound an alarm. But we'll do it your way." ------------------- "Yes, we're still good friends, and I'm happy she's happy. But that's why I'm so worried about the fallout from that assassination attempt. It all fall on Zona and Zet in they end, they're the main instigators. Thank's for being here Glen. You were right, it did help to say it.

Skye shook his head. "I'm not a good person Tikal. I try to be, but I'm not. That's why I deserve all the bad things that have happened to me. You're a good person. Whatever tragedies you suffered, you never deserved them." ----------------------- "Ready when you are. Is this a sneak past or an elimination?" ----------------------- "No she doesn't. I didn't for long enough. I'm attracted to men too, so I didn't realise quite what I felt towards her until it was too late and Zet was on the scene. I did try and bring up the topic, but she was disgusted by the idea." (ooc: We could have a light hearted adventure?)

(ooc: Personally, I actually prefer character stuff to action. Not that I dislike action mind you! I think inserting an adventure plus a slight speed up would work best. Once Shadow posts we can start up a pm.) "But I've people with me now," Skye replied. "You, Mom and Dad, Melody. All my friends. These past days are making up for everything I've gone through, even if I don't deserve this happiness. But, that you for listening. I feel... less... crushed by it all now." --------------------- "So, combat, acrobatics and now stealth. I'm starting to think the sadistic nut behind this was Mother." --------------------- "You said... You said I should say 'his' name. But I can't do that because it's not 'his' name. It's 'her' name. It's Zave, Zet's fiancée."

"If your sure," said Skye as the reached a clearing where a waterfall gently fell. Skye lay down next to the river leading away, staring up at the sky, and began to talk. And once he began, he found it almost impossible to stop himself. About how his mother doted on him but he saw her only infrequently. How his father would practice curses on him anytime he thought Skye was acting like his prime counterpart, which included any time he stammered. How the only person he could count on was Melody, who had begun to become jealous when it seemed that Skye would be next in line for the throne. Then something had happened and Skye and Miles had fled the castle. Which in turn lead to Melody's death, months on the run, and Skye turning against his father, only to be cast out into the Cosmic Highway by his mother. Over a year spent wandering the highway, dodging Zone cops, the shock at realising that somehow he'd been trapped in the past, insanity gradually growing ever stronger in his mind as he sought for any scheme to return his sister. And then, his arrival at the Prime Zone, and how his life had lifted from there. --------------------- "Sounds like a plan. Okay, enough gabbing, lets go." and Melody sped onwards. -------------------- "You won't risk that unless you want to lose yours," Ziona joked. "But, I... there's a reason I didn't want to say anything in public. You made a wrong assumption." (ooc: It was just a suggestion based on what was going on at that moment. Maybe we should open an RPM 2 PM for us to discuss ideas without it clogging up the main topic?)

"Me? I... You know enough about me to know my own story isn't a happy one, even though it has a happy ending. I don't want to burden you with it if you don't want to hear it." ---------------- "Just wondering, is the joke on Eggman cause this level is making a joke about him, or is the joke on us for playing this game designed by a sadistic nut." ------------- "I'm surprised you managed to find such a peaceful spot. The rest of the park was very crowded." Ziona was deliberately putting off what they had earlier been discussing. (ooc: We could speed it up, or just insert a few more adventure's during it. (Trouble with speeding up is there is a few character moments to get past first, so there is only so fast we can go) If you want an adventure right now.... Hmm, Melody's reference to the programmer being a sadistic nut and the level looks Eggman-ish... so Eggman is behind the game and it has some kind of sinister purpose. My first guess would capture and mind control, except Hope's already been mind controlled once today and twice is just silly. Maybe a scanning machine to design new robots in the metal class, so we have each character take part, get scanned unknowingly, then the next day, army of metal's attack?)

Skye had given an amused laugh as Tikal described her father's name. Then he caught what Tikal said. "I know that tone. Tikal if... if you don't want to talk about it you don't have to." -------------------- "The question is just who is the joke on," Melody muttered. ------------------------- "Yes it, is. Thanks Glen, for the help. I wasn't exactly dignified."

"Tikal," said Skye as he pushed further into the forest, enjoying the picturesque scenes around, "could you tell me more about yourself? This all happened so fast that I still really know very little about you." ----------------- "Hey there. Didn't realise there was a third slot. Or that there was monsters in this level. I guess having a third player just added them to make things more difficult. Care to give us a hand to navigate through Omeletteman's base or where-ever we are?" -------------- Ziona gingerly tested her feet. "I think I can managed. But be ready to play taxi." she said as she began heading towards the exit. (ooc; Completely agree, and there was a moment in Invisible War that made him even more tragic. Guther's e-mails keep referring to the fact he believe he won't get his skul-gun augment because he's outdated. Then in IW, it turns out it was built and delivered to UNATCO. It just didn't reach Guther.)

Skye to Tikal by the hand and began jogging down the steps and towards the forest. "He we go. Let's see what's out there," he called back with delighted enthusiasm." ------------------------ "Maybe something to do with that fat man who keeps trying to take over," suggested Melody as she dodged another trap."What was him name? Something to do with omelets?" Her head suddenly whipped round as she heard a new sound, and something appeared to be forming behind them. "Is that another enemy... or has someone else joined in?" She asked. ------------------------- "How would you know with my fur being this colour?" Ziona snarked back. "I think the park would be a better choice." ('He never asked for this. He wanted orange.'???? Very true, though that was mostly in HR, the origonal was more about augs verse nano-augs.)

"Heh heh. I'd say walking then. Exploring no fun if you can see where your going. Oh, but before we go..." Skye cast a small spell and cling-film appeared over the picnic food, which then flew back into the hamper. Skye put the storybook in the hamper as well, and picked it up. "Just in case. Shall we?" ---------------------- "See. Cracking jokes in the middle of a struggle. Your a natural at this," Melody joked back as she continued along. "Yeah, it was. But you can't train for truly dangerous experiences unless the training is similarly dangerous." ------------------------ "And you had to go through that all alone," Ziona mused. "I... I think I might manage to bring myself to tell you. But not here. Somewhere with at least some privacy." (Getting serious Adam Jenson vibes from Glen now. Does he also have the 'cracking whiskey glass' scean?"

"I've wanted to explore more of the island since I made my home here. So lets see what we can find." He offer Tikal his hand. "By land or by air?" ---------------------------------------------- So far, Melody was finding this level easy. "Just like training. Except for the deadly traps." Almost in response, a set of spikes burst from the floor of the platform Melody was about to land on. She managed to land just at the edge of them, rather than impaling herself. "Ah, there they are. Are you doing alight Hope?" -------------------------------------- "The comfort of having a good friend." Ziona replied. "But I think I'd rather have pain and regret over people staring at me like a monster. I'm sorry, Glen, here you are opening yourself up... I... think your extremely brave for what you've done."

"Just make sure you always carry a fly swatter of can of bug spray with you," joked Melody. "Ok, lets see what this level has in store for us." Melody took a step forward, then jumped back as sections of the floor fell away. She looked at the platforms that were left. "I guess this is one of the more movement based challenges then."

"Don't do yourself down. You're doing well here. I know you might not want to, but if you HAD to, I think you'd surprise yourself." The game loaded the next scenario. "What the hell? Are we inside a computer of something? That makes NO sense. Nor does it follow on from the last setting. What is this thing, a bunch of random themes stuck together?" (ooc:Yes, Melody thinks she is actually complimenting Hope! As for the comedy duo thing, I think just bad timing.)

"You really don't seem bothered by it. I suppose I did over-react. The Guardians were only doing their duty, and Dylan was just trying to give us a warning. I suppose I just got mad with them ruining the moment." He gave a nervous laugh, "I might even had snapped at Dad if he'd been the one to interrupt us." "A better place? I'll be honest, I haven't seen much of the island, and the Shrine is the most relaxing spot I've found so far. I think we have four options. We stay here and accept we'll be watched. We go exploring the island and see what we can find. I take you to the hotel resort we're staying at, and give you a taste of what the world is like now. Or we could asked Spectre for a suggestion." Skye looked around. "Oh, he's gone. Scratch the fourth option." (ooc: Skye comment that he might have snapped at Locke is true. The first person to break their little bubble was gonna get a harsh reception. It just happened to be the comedy duo of Dylan and Spectre) --------------------------- "This would actually be easier if it was real life," Melody commented. "I can't go all out in here, and it lacks that adrenaline rush of know your life is in danger to keep you sharp." ---------------------------- "Tell me Glen. You must know with that arm, people stare at you, will treat you different. How can you cope with that?" (ooc: and I'm back. Gonna get some supper now so'll I'll disappear for a short while again!)

"I... don't you want to Tikal? I mean, I know you like it here. So do I. But I don't feel comfortable knowing we're being watched." ----------------------- "Well in that case then..." Melody leapt towards the giant bug. --------------------------------------- "His name?" Ziona gave a strangled laugh. "I can't. Not here. Not in this crowd. I know it's silly of me. None of them will even know who I'm talking about. But..." (ooc: Prob won't be around to post tomorrow until late. Sorry guys)

"You better leave now, and Dylan better watch out," Skye growled. He then turned back to Tikal. "C'mon. Let's find some other place, away from prying eyes." ---------------------------------- "Famous last words Hope. Nevernevernever underestimate your target." -------------------- "We... We were best friends, went to the same school, practically grew up together. I didn't realise how I really felt until... until after they went with someone else. But no matter my feelings, I knew they'd never feel the same way about me, and besides, I didn't want to spoil their happiness. We're still friends but... I'm alone."

"I thought these things were for fun. Not torture. Darn, normally I'd jump from wall to wall to stop falling. If I try that now I'll end up jumping through the curtain!"

"You've been...?" Skye blurted out, sounding outraged. Then he paused. "Actually, I shouldn't be surprised. Given the whole Guardian's of the Master Emerald thing. Still...." Despite the reasonableness of his words, he still sounded bitter. He leaned back against the emerald. "And just two minutes ago..." ----------------- "Good idea," Melody replied to Hope as more and more bugs arrived. "Just what sadistic nut programmed this thing?" ---------------- "It's not quite that. I do want another relationship. But whenever I try I just keep thinking about h...." Ziona shook her head and drained her glass. "If you want to help, feel free. Dunno if it'll do any good."

Skye gave a start when Dylan suddenly appeared in front of them. He shot him a glare of irritation, as the reality of the outside world came crashing into the couples little happy bubble. "Did you want something Dylan," asked Skye, more coldly than was reasonable, ----------------------------- Melody gave a mild 'huh' when she saw the swarm approaching. "Why didn't this game come with a riot shield?" she asked rhetorically. "I just hope it's fast enough to keep up with my movements!" she declared as the swarm closed in and Melody started to attack. (ooc: you could have Honey passing commentary on the action?)

Ziona deliberately ignored the part about admitting the name. “Special attention? I’d thought that was obvious. Just like you’re doing now. Guy’s fawning over me, treating me to things, bending over backwards for me. It make me feel like it’s not my fault things could never have worked out.”

Melody looked intently at the fog. Then ducked backwards as something shot out of the fog at her and flew overhead. "Whoa, what was that?" --------------------- Ziona gave a grim laugh. "Actually, you're not that far off." She started unhappily at her glass,. "Oh, what the hell. I AM in love. With someone I know I can never have. I know its stupid to keep feeling this way, but no matter how hard I try I can't move on. That's why I act the way I do. I want the attention to feel special."

"I can't see a mock knife, the sword's too cumbersome and slightly unbalanced, and I dunno how to use a gun, so fists it is!" grinned Melody. ------------------------- Ziona gave a sigh. "Not the way your hoping Glen. I... Look, right now, it ain't gonna happen. One day the the future, maybe." Ziona sounded slightly wistful with the last sentence. "But right now, no," she concluded.

"Just give me a moment Hope," said Melody as she began doing a few stretching warm-ups, though part of that had already been accomplished by the dancing earlier. "Okay, now I'm ready." And Melody stepped onto the other square. --------------------- "Cheers Glen," said Ziona as she knocked her glass against his. "If you had told me this morning I'd have ended up in your arms I'd probably have slapped you!" (ooc: The agatha christie detective one)
