"Ummm, I dunno if we needed the insight for that tip?" Melody laughed. "But do you know how far though the game we are? Can we go all out, or do we need to hold something back?"

Melody gave out a triumphant 'Ha!' and grinned broadly. "Well, you're getting to see it in action first hand then. But even if you didn't program it, sounds like you know some of what the others did. Any more hints to help us out?"

"Oh sorry. Just testing the blade out," called Melody as she joined the other two. "Hmm, this scenario is really fitting in with your giant shark theory. Which means one of two things. Either this program understands what we say and reacts to it, or..." Melody turned to Hope and stared her right in the eyes, "the 'sadistic nut' who programmed this was you!" Melody said as a playful accusation. ---------------------- "The burning sensations back again, but not as bad as it was. I think it might have swollen slightly, but I'm not sure." (ooc: btw, I'll be heading away at 8ish and will be gone somewhere between half and hour to three hours, more likely I'll return at either end of the extremes than in the middle)

"I hope not." Melody stated simply. ------------ "Wow, I was not expecting you to do that. Thanks Glen, though I'm not sure I should feel good about you threatening people."

Melody caught the knife with a smile, tested it's balance, the did a few practice moves that looked almost like ballet. "Perfect. Now I'm ready for whatever this game throws at us," she grinned almost manically.

"Crossbows, suppressors, grenades.... and this game still hasn't given me a knife. What did I do to offend it?" ------------------------- Ziona managed to smile. "You're so very right. Now lets find another ice pack."

"If we have any arrows.... Or a bow." Melody commented. She looked around the new level. "I can see any water, unless it's round the other side of that cliff." -------------------- "Yeah I am," replied Ziona, slightly sorrowfully. "Huh, I wounder what everyone will think when they see me leaning on you like this," she commented as the entered the hotel room.

"Eep! That sounds about right. Anyone bring something explosive to throw down it's mouth?" Melody asked as the next level began to load around them.

"I hope not. I can't breath underwater. Can you? Wait, how the hell would that even work here?" ---------------- "Strange? As long as it's me? What do you mean Glen?" asked Zonia as she got off Glen's back and began trying to walk into the hotel.

"Phew, that was cutting it close. What on Moebius is this game gonna throw at us next?" gasped Melody. ------------------ "Yes we will. I still can't believe I've bared so much of my soul to you."

"C'mon, you can make it," Melody called to her friend as she waited by the exit. ----------------- "Actually, I don't mind what we talk about. I'mm just trying to keep my mind off my foot. Ah, thank goodness, there's the hotel."

Melody turned back. She could see Honey making her way, but had lost sign of Hope. "Hope, are you okay?" she called. ----------- "It's was lost in Nega's first strike. He came within inches of winning completely on that day. The Zone Cops were never the same after that."

Melody leapt from platform to platform, hurling enemies into the void below as she progressed. Finally, she was withing reach of the exit. ------------------- "Yeah. A more innocent carefree time. It was in a park too, though that park isn't there anymore."

"Given the rate the level is falling apart... I'd say... grab all the ones on our way, but if you miss one don't go back for it." ----------------------- "Happy memories I hope."

"Better get a move on then." Melody shot off, but the screen began to flicker around her. She quickly checked her speed. "Whooooops. Forgot. Can't go all out here." (ooc: If we want to move the plot on quickly, we could say 'several levels later' then do the final boss fight.) --------------------- Ziona couldn't help giggling. "I haven't had a piggy back ride since I was a little girl."

"So is it smash a giant robot to pieces or outrun an exploding bomb?" Melody asked. ---------------- Ziona pulled herself onto Glen's back, trying not to put any weight on her foot. "But once we get to the hotel, I'm walking." (ooc: Master Emerald replicas? Lol. Now I have a picture of a scene when the get back to Rouge's apprment and try to work out just where to hell to fit the full scale one!)

"I hope it's not a robot beep. I didn't bring a can opener."

"Nor was I," Melody smiled. "No, wait... that would mean that I HAD killed someone, which is wrong, oh nevermind... What was that Hope?" Melody strained her ears to listen. "I hope that's not a bomb beep." ------------------ "I will hold you to that shoulder Glen. But right now what I want is a new icepack. My foots beginning to play up again. And, I think a return to the hotel too."

"We've had bugs, jumping, dodging, stealth... What else does this game test?" asked Melody in response to Hope.

Skye gave a sleepy laugh. "We'll need to set up a tab for each of us," he joked, then sleep overtook him. ------------------- "Sorry. Afraid I've never killed anyone." ------------------ "That reminds me of a line from a song I heard. 'I cannot cry cause the shoulder cries more.'. I think that may fit this."

As I've just finished watching AoStH, that puts me in mind of Wes Weasly

(occ; had an dialog idea for just before they fall asleep.) Skye was on the verge of drifting off happily to sleep, when he heard Tikal stop singing for a moment. "You're a beautiful singer," Skye said. He opened his eye's slightly, and raising a hand gentle caressed Tikal's cheek. "Tikal, thank you for everything you've done. I feel like a new fox." ----------------- "Sounds like a nasty weapon. Just with good PR." Melody commented as she got ready to move on. ---------------- "Not much to tell. Just running over the past in my mind. And trying to accept what I can't have."

(ooc: Not much I can add for Skye right now! He's happy, that's all there is to it.) ---------------- "It's just a game Honey. She isn't actually shooting anyone. Otherwise I wouldn't have even considered killing those guards." Melody turned to Hope who was attaching the suppressor. "Wow, you really do look professional there." --------------- Ziona laughed. "Yeah, I guess we are. I was just thinking things through."

Skye shut his eyes, and happily let his mind be carried away by Tikal's song. As far as he was concerned, he'd never heard anything as lovely. ------------------- "Well I know how to use my fists, and there's a bonus for doing so... oh, these look balanced for throwing," Melody exclaimed as she pulled out some bladed stars. "I'll keep these for emergencies." ------------------ Ziona gently caught Glen's hand. "Glen, please, don't do that," she said apologetically. "I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet."

"That sounds wonderful." Skye gave Tikal a quick kiss on the nose, they laid his head down on her legs, looking up at her. "Mm, I can see why you were happily to stay like this at the shrine." ---------------------------- "I did. Or more accurately, I chose 'none of the above'. I just didn't see an option for a blackjack. Hope, are we still clear at your end?" Melody asked as she opened the crate." --------------------------- Ziona gave an extremely amused laugh. "You really need to find a slower gear Glen, you know." (ooc: ok then. Once I get back from work today we can set up a pm and discuss ideas. Or feel free to begin without me.)
