Melody was laughing to. "Oh yeah. Let's do this." (ooc: Feel free to shoot this down but, my suggestion for a final boss: a legionised Dragon! And we're on an airship.) ---------------------- "That would be for the best. And really, can you think of a better chance to do so?"

Melody started at the over-equipped Hope, then her face resumed it's more laid-back normal look as she grinned. "Not quite yet." Melody tore the sleeve of her t-shirt, stretched it out, then tied it round Hope's head like a bandanna. "NOW you're ready to go!" ----------------------- Ziona doubted she'd enjoy being carried around all day, but didn't want to correct him. "Well, if you're burned out, then we'll need to find some way to re-fuel you, won't we."

"Doubt it. This game doesn't seemed designed to test our diplomacy skills." ------------- "Small wonder, you've been carrying me all day. Literally and figuratively speaking. You should get some rest."

"Of course not, it's gonna be a proper challenge," said Melody with a grin. "Which means I should think about this properly. Hmm." There was a slight shift in Melody's posture, and he voice became less girly and more focused. Almost mono-toned. "I can't run up surfaces here so a grappling hook will be necessary. Two for back-up. Demo charges with adhesive surfaces, should prove useful. Ah, this looks more effective." Melody drew another knife, and in a rapid motion sliced though the sides of one of the supply crates, which burst open. "Perfect," Melody commented, as she took two and clipped them to her belt. ---------------- "You don't need to thank me Glen. We're friends, and this is what friends do for each other."

Melody began looking around the items. "They better have a knife in here that can go through metal incase we've got a giant robot ahead. Hey Hope, know what the final boss is?"

"No, I'd love to hear... uh... er.. um, I mean, yeah, I'd probably just fall asleep."

"Cool. We might need some more stuff before that. Waitasec, something I want to check first." Melody ran to the edge of the island, and stuck her hand in the water. "Wow, it actually feels wet. How does that work?" ------------------ Ziona was almost ready to joke how Glen was almost twice her age, but decided against it. When Glen broke down Zonia hugged him tightly with both arms to comfort him. Though she felt uncomfortable, she knew it was what Glen needed. "I... I don't know what I can say. You must have heard this many times before, but if you hadn't acted, you would be the one killed. And maybe more besides. You stopped him."

"Brilliant," and Melody hurried towards the exit. -------------- Ziona leaned over to put her arm around Glen to comfort him, then hesitated, feeling uncomfortable about doing so. But she pushed ahead and did so anyway. "You were there to listen to me when I told you my problems. Now it my turn to return the favor."

"Okay, I think I'm better now," said Melody as she stood up, slightly wobbly. "Where's this exit?" -------------------- "What did happen Glen? You keep mentioning it, but you never say."

"No. Trying not to throw up in this booth," Melody replied, missing the joke. ------------------- "It was just... all of you have been through much worse than I have, and yet you all seem to cope with it far better. I'm just acting like a selfish kid." She gave a small smile when she realised what she said, "Maybe I didn't grow up that much after all."

"Sounds good to me!" Melody leapt out of the boat, then her legs gave way and she dropped down to all fours. "I don't like boats," she murmured. ----------------------- "Went wrong?" Ziona suddenly shook her head. "Compared to everyone here my life was picture postcard perfect. Here I am whining because I got rejected, while all of you..." she couldn't bring herself to finish.

"I say exit. We're on our way, and we might need that grenade yet." --------------- "Are you asking me or are you asking yourself?" Ziona asked.

"I'd like to think so. How about putting some distance between us and it?" Melody yelled. --------------- "You'll be yelling at kids to get off your lawn before you know it! It's a shame, I spent so much of my childhood wishing to grow up. And now that I'm here, it's been nothing but disappointment."

"Mouth! You'll do more damage to the inside!" ---------------------- "Flaws? It occasionally rained, but that was it." Ziona paused then smiled. "And maybe bedtime I suppose."

"Holy $%@& that's a lot of teeth," Melody breathed. Then had an image of Red slapping her for swearing. ------------------ Ziona laid back on the bed. "Yeah. Piggy back rides, friends in the park, no worries about relationships, jobs, wars, bills..."

"It'll look awesome, as long as we don't get cover by instant cooked fish paste." ----------- "Where did we get to in our talk in the park? Oh yeah, the other park."

"I'm starting to worry about this plan," murmured Melody. ------------------ "Long as you don't go beyond the looking Glen." She gave a laugh. "You know, I used to daydream about visiting other Zones, having a good look at other worlds. And what happens when I get the chance? I step on a fish and get immobilized."

Granted. It's one of those tiny lego ones. I wish my computer was working.

"If you're gonna be throwing grenades around," Melody said to Hope, then turned to Honey, "and you're gonna shoot it, shall I take the engine?" ------------- "Aww, heck. You're right. I better change. I uh, sorry about what I said just there. I didn't really mean it."

"Good timing. 'Cause we've just got company. And judging by the size of that fin..."

"Still no sign of a fin. Just so long as it doesn't attack right now." ------- "I'll take being carried over a wheelcare. And I did not expect to ever say that! But if my foot didn't hurt so much I would have suspected you of lying."

"Great. Please tell me you can modify that engine to go faster?" -------------------- Ziona spluttered with laughter. "I am NOT going to the beach in a wheelchair. I've still got some dignity left. Maybe we should just join the crowd in the main room?"

"All clear on this side... Wait a sec, is that music I can hear? Sounds ominous." ----------------------- "I was planning on lazing around all day anyway. Just, on the beach rather than my room."

"I second that motion," Melody said to Honey. "And Hope, if a giant squid does show up, I'm throwing you out the boat!" ---------------------- "The day we've had? It's barely the afternoon. I hope there's no more surprises in store." Ziona gave a sigh of relief as the ice touched her foot. "That feels much better."

"The shark ISN'T the final boss? But it's big enough!" (ooc: Back much sooner than I thought)
