Melody sighed. "Okay, okay. We can be twins. Can we have our birthday in three weeks then, as that's when I'll turn twelve? If not, sooner the better." Skye shrugged, trying to look nonchalant at suddenly having an upcoming birthday. "Works for me."

"Right," Skye interrupted his sister, "I think the best plan is just choose a new date for our birthday, and officially mark down on whatever records we have that we were born on the same day." "You want us to be twins?" "No, but it keeps things simple."

"Technically we haven't even been BORN yet! I'm meant to be twelve in three weeks, but if we go by birthdays, that won't be for, what, six months? Longer?" "Now you see why I lost track," explained Skye

"Melody, calm down. You've been.... away for a few years remember? And I'm only just twelve, last month sometime, I lost track." "Last... There's less than TWO MONTHS between us? That means we're practically twins!" Melody turned to face Red "What's normal? None of this is normal!"

"I don't think I really appreciated how lucky until today," Skye replied to Tikal as Melody moved over to him and Locke. "And I know it's unexpected Dad. I... I still can't quite believe it happened myself." "Nor can I," interrupted Melody. "Not just that you managed to rescue her from the emerald, but that you actually have a girlfriend when you're only ten." "Actually Melody, I'm twelve." "WHAT?" shrieked Melody. "You're joking right? That's not funny. You're my baby brother. You CAN'T be OLDER than ME!"

Skye looked a little embarrassed at Shadow's comment. "Not really busy.... spent a lot of the time just sitting.. and sleeping." He turned to Tikal. "Actually, this is about everyone I know, so it's not that many but..." Skye headed over towards Locke. "Dad, are you okay." Ziona headed over. "I'm very pleased to meet you Tikal."

"Oh, and that's Shadow," Skye pointed out as he appeared. "I know, we've a lot of Zone duplicates with us. I think I saw Rouge head into there room. No idea where the other Glen and Dylan are. Is Hope still with you as well Shadow?" (ooc: and that's me back off to work. Catch you this evening.)

"Heh, thank's Mom," Skye replied, giggling at Locke's reaction. "I suppose," Melody said to herself, still flabbergasted, "If anyone could pull the girl they fancied out of a magical rock it'd be him." "Introductions Tikal, that's Mom and Dad, or Red and Locke. That's my sister Melody. The scowly person in the corner is Crowley. That's Glen, or the Glen from this world, and... Honey, wasn't it? And that's Ziona next to them." "So that's why you..." Ziona began, glancing at Locke. "I'd never had expected something like this, you've only been in this Zone for less than a week."

"Don't worry. Now you'll have plenty of time to go and see whatever you want," replied Skye as he landed on the Penthouse balcony. Taking her hand, he entered into the main room. "Everyone," he called, "I'd like you to meet Tikal. The nicest, cutest, prettiest girl in the Zone." Melody's head spun round at her brother's entrance, and her mouth dropped open, "No... way..." (ooc: Yeesh! Tone it down a little Skye!)

"Welcome to the modern world Tikal," said Skye as he approached the hotel.

In the distance, the hotel began to come into view. Skye looked down at Tikal, and grinned at the delighted expression on her face. "That tall building, that's the hotel we're staying at," Skye called to Tikal.

"Great. Just hold on tight." Skye took ahold of Tikal's hands. His tails began whirring and soon they were above the treeline. Getting his bearings, Skye began flying back towards the hotel. ----------------------- "Heh. No, it's not that bad at all. It's just slightly unusual for me. Though if I didn't know better I would have sworn something was warping me and my brother's personalities, given how well we seem to be settling in."

"Thank's Rouge, I'll try. Heh. I don't usually feel guilty at all. I must have spent too long in my brother's head."

"I... uh.." Melody looked down at her feet. "Sorry, that was my fault. I suggested the idea to Hope."

"Hey, is everything all right in there?" Melody couldn't help but ask Rouge.

Melody nonchalantly made her way over to Shadow's door and tried to listen in. She couldn't make out what they were saying, but couldn't even hear any surprised shouting from Shadow or laughter from Hope. Hoping that it hadn't gone badly, and feeling a little guilty for suggesting it, Melody moved away.

Melody, still smiling from Dylan's compliments, caught Hope's wink and gave her an almost imperceptible nod in reply. Her smile grew slightly.

"Thanks Dylan," Melody responded with a smile.

"Cause I like it," Melody replied with a wide grin. "Do I need another reason Though, it also makes me feel like a princess again."

"I was remembering," said Skye smiling, "I was thinking that maybe you'd want to experience as much as you can in your real form. Such as the thrill of flying." ------------ Melody re-emerged from her room, cleaned up and wearing her tiara again. "Hey I'm back and.... what's with all the serious faces? Except for Crowley's, that's normal."

"That'll be great. And I'm sure they'll love to meet you." Skye looked around the clearing and pondered. "We better get back as quick as we can, and I'm not sure which direction to begin going in, so we better fly. I can carry you." ----------------------- "Wait, you're saying Skye might have taken a batch of drugs. I know the kid has been through some hard times, but would he really do that?"

"I just had a call from Dad. He wants me to head back to the hotel. And I would like to introduce you to all my friends, if you want to." ---------------------- Ziona raised an eyebrow. "Medication? What do you mean medication?"

Skye switched off his radio then knelt down next to Tikal. He brushed her dreadlocks back. "Tikal. It's time to wake up," he whispered gently. --------------------------- "Believe me, it'll take more than that to scare me off," then she turned to face Locke. "Why? What's happened to him?" she asked.

"Honestly Dad, I've never felt better. I'll see you back at the hotel." ------------------------ "I'm sure we will!" replied Ziona.

"I think... maybe... dunno... Could get back to the Master Emerald shine, if I remember which direction that was. Or I could come back to the hotel?" Skye offered. ------------------- "Heh. I haven't seen anyone this bouncy since I was a kid!"
