Skye put an arm round Tikal. "Great. Do you want a drink? Try something new?" -------------- "Yeah, I'm with Crowley here. Well, maybe not the nauseating bit, but it's defiantly a bit sickly sweet." --------------- "You said yourself you were gonna try and change. I will try too, once I know my friends are safe." (ooc: off to work. Catch you this evening.)

Skye walked over to Tikal. "So, how are you finding this new age?" "Me, jealous? No! But just watch the looks they give each other. The hotel could collapse and they wouldn't notice!" ------------------ "That suggestes that you think you'll be the one to fall."

Skye blushed slight. "Heh. Thanks Dad. I better go and see she'd doing alright." He headed off. Melody shook her head. "He got it bad." ------------------- "I just hope it doesn't push both of us over the edge," Ziona whispered.

"We're anything BUT a normal family," joked Melody. "I think he's also still shaken a bit about Tikal. I wasn't expecting him to be scared of her! ------------------------- "It might happen, in time," confessed Ziona, "but I wouldn't push it Glen. I don't think I could stand that."

"Huh? How would that be evil?" ---------------------- "I know that Glen. But I'm sorry. I don't think I can be what you want me to be."

Melody gave a nervous little shuffle of her feet. "Sorry Mom. And I understand Dad. I hope you say yes, but I'll understand if you say no." ---------------------- "I know who and what I want, but I also know I cannot have them. You can't change the way someone thinks, or turn back the clock. I need to learn to move on. Then I can find out what I really want."

"Six inches Dad. Not any bigger. It's be smaller than that knife Melody carries." ----------------------------- Ziona stood up and looked out the window. "That's something else we have in common. We both want someone we cannot have."

"I could make a little nest for it on my desk so it can stay in my room with me." ---------------------- "I know Glen. I'm sorry you paid such a high price,"

"I could call it a 'small flying lizard'. Emphasis on the small part. Please Dad?" -------------------------- Ziona began to tense up as Glen pulled her closer. "No. I don't think I'd like it if I saw it."

"If I called it something else, would you be happier Dad?" -------------------------- "Maybe. You've still seen.... more than I have,"

"Sorry Dad. Guess I put a lot on you in these past few hours, not to mention days huh?" ------------------ "Not your fault. I'd just give a lot to see him again."

"But that's why I only want one," Skye hurried on. "One is harmless, and if you are there from the moment it hatches, it's completely tame." "And most sleep at night, but be careful. Some are nocturnal." ------------------- Ziona gave one word of explanation. "Nega"

"Yes, that's the map. Just make sure you have some way to get away quickly. The can be vicious if they swarm."

"I though studying stuff from afar was Dylan's hobby. Feel free to take a picture if you want." --------------------------- "I wish.... It's.... I miss my Daddy...." Ziona wiped a small tear away. "Huh, I don't know what brought this on."

"Hold on," Skye pulled out his diary. On one page there was a map of Moebius. "There are colonies where I've marked the map with X's. There may be more, but those are the main ones." ---------------------- Ziona sighed. "And while I'm wishing for the impossible.... never mind."

"Well, there's plenty of time," Skye smiled. -------------- Ziona sat down and took another drink. "You're probably right. I just want life to slow down for a bit though."

"What? No, most don't breath fire. And they aren't intelligent, so they won't be kidnapping princesses. And I'm really, really tell the truth that they never grow larger than six inches. They're a fairly common pet on Moebius, actually I think we may have them instead of Chao." --------------------------- "There's a difference between 'a lot' Glen, and two people openly going about hand in hand like that.

"Oh pppplllleeeeeeaaaaasssseeee Dad. It's only a small pet, I promise. And I'll take good care of it. And Dylan's right, it would be cool." --------------------- "Hey, nothing's broken Glen. Just a spine, that's all it was. And it actually is that spirit girl. How on either does a fox fall in lover with a centuries old spirit. And in the course of an afternoon."

"Thanks for offering Crowley. If there isn't, I can see about making a quick trip to Moebius maybe..."

"Uh, Skye. I think you broke Dad," said Melody. She tried snapping her fingers on front of Locke's face. ------------------ "I never can tell with you. But if you don't want it I'll have it," said Ziona as she took a sip. "Yeah, she seemed nice. If she's who I think she is though, I'm surprised she's even here."

"It's just a small dragon," Skye defended as Melody giggled behind him. "And it doesn't breath fire... Well, most of them don't." "Even if you weren't serious I suspect you could still do with one," Ziona replied to Glen.

Ziona looked at Glen, muttered 'Oh heck!' under her breath, then went to fetch him a drink. "Well," Skye began, "I'm not sure if you have them here in the Prime Zone, but on Moebius as well as the normal dragons, there's a type of smaller non-sentient dragons. They only grow to about six inches or so. Trouble is, to raise one as a pet, you need to take an egg before it hatches. I always meant to get one but... Hey, Glen? Are you alright?" (ooc: Gah, I have no idea what kind of pet. Stupid spur of the moment decision. Quick, write something random...)

"Wha...? Me? Uh? Well, there are some rare items and materials I'd like for my magical experiments." "Oh Skye," Melody sighed, "can't you think of anything more interesting?" "Well.... I would like a pet."

"Don't worry Dylan. I know you were just trying to warn us as a friend." "I... oooh.... uh.... I dunno... erm...." "Go for the console Melody. It'll be easier to get new games for when you get bored. Or maybe just one arcade machine if you have a special game you like." (ooc: It'll be an interesting one!)

"YesYesYes!" called Melody, "And I know what I wanna get for my birthday too!" she said addressing both her adoptive parents and Crowley. "There were all these fun games at the arcade, I'd love some of those." Skye shook his head at his sisters over enthusiasm, and noticed Dylan and Glen enter. "Dylan! Glen! I'd like you to meet Tikal, my girlfriend. Tikal, this is another Glen, and, well, you saw Dylan, but lets make it a proper introduction this time! Sorry I was rude to you before Dylan." (ooc: are you hinting at a birthday party for Shadow?)
