"Um... well... I don't know many songs either. Uh, I do like this one though. It's not meant as a duet, but we could still sing it together." "Oh no, I'm not singing with Glen," Ziona objected. "I'm going separately!" (ooc: Seriously? How are we gonna handle the songs?)
-
"I... but.... what?" exclaimed Skye, realising he'd just been tricked into going. Sighing, he pondered over the list. "Oh, pllllllllleeeeeeeaaase stay and sing Dylan, plllleeeeaaase!" Melody pleaded with a sad look. "Everyone else will!" (ooc: So do we just say 'they sung a X song', or put up youtube videos, or what?)
-
Skye mentally swore a few times, wondering of Tikal was trying to be kind, or was actually being very cunning and trapping him into singing "I... uh... if you want to sing together we can, but... I don't know if I CAN sing!" ------------------ "It's not a contest Glen," said Ziona as she pushed him into the main room. "but it is singing. And you should stay Dylan. It wouldn't be fair if you left."
-
"You brought it here, one of you four should go first!" said Skye, trying to make a point and trying not to draw attention to himself at the same time. --------------- Ziona headed to the kitchen door. "Oh how bad could... it.... be.... After you Glen, given your performance a few minutes ago I think you're gonna like it."
-
Skye returned to the main room when he heard Hope's announcement. "What would be harmless fu... You have GOT to be joking?" Melody just wore an insane grin. --------------------- "Hmm, maybe I will. Wait, what's that shouting about?"
-
"Yeah, let's do it!"
-
"Heh heh, I thought you would Hope," said Melody with a sly grin. "And some people like to sing Tikal, some don't, and some do just not on front of other people." ------------------------ "Maybe I am a mind reader Glen. Maybe I have been all my life."
-
"Remember Hope, when we got the machine back at the shop? Still, if you'd prefer we could go separately, and you can sing all alone if you want, on front of everyone with them all watching you..." "And it's good to see you getting into the spirit of it Tikal." ----------------- "I knew you'd say that," Ziona responded.
-
"It might be difficult if you don't know any of the songs. But I'm sure Hope can find you an easy one, or you could sing with someone. Hope and I are gonna sing together." ------------------ "It's either that or we have to make sure we're never seen together again," Ziona joked.
-
"So, who wants to do the honors of explaining to Tikal what Karaoke is? Hope?" -------------------- Ziona started laughing again. "I'm gonna to have to start wearing a t-shirt that says 'I'm not with this person' on it!"
-
Melody grinned. "Great let's go. I can't wait to see the look on everyone's faces." She headed over to Honey and Tikal. ---------------------- Skye began heading towards Tikal, but when he saw he with the rest of the girls he stopped and smiled, happy that she seemed to be fitting in. Rather than disturbing her, he went out to the balcony to enjoy his drink. ------------------------ "Yeah. The innocent mind of a child..."
-
Skye left, pondering Glen and Ziona. He couldn't help but wonder if they were like him and Tikal. If that was the case, best to leave them alone. -------------- "If I didn't know better, I wonder if he thought he was interrupting another couple." ------------- "Heh, it's a secret. But if you come with us you'll find out before everyone else. You go and tell Honey that's it's time and I said you can come with us. I'll go and get Hope." Melody had a look round the main room, but couldn't see Hope. She guessed she'd still be in Shadow and Rouges room. She knocked on the door and went in. "Hope? Are you ready for our secret plan?"
-
"I'll leave the two of you alone then," said Skye as he exited the kitchen. --------------- "I dunno," replied Melody. "Skye can be quite clingy. But, there's another reason I want to head back. Now that everyone's here, me, Hope and Honey have an idea!" (ooc: don't worry, Glen is likely to be singing again very soon!)
-
"It's okay Glen," replied Ziona, gasping for breath. "Besides, I needed that." "You needed to have your eardrums burst?" muttered Skye incredulously. ----------------- "C'mon. Let's get back to everyone. The way Skye's been acting around you I suspect he'll be panicking wondering where you disappeared to!"
-
Ziona had almost stuffed her hand into her mouth trying not to laugh any harder. "I wouldn't know," replied Skye, who was rubbing his now painful ears, "I don't have much of a musical ear." (ooc: Only you can answer that Locke.) ----------------------- "Of course it won't," Melody grinned. "I'm not likely to try and kill Skye ever again, and I know better than to go full speed on a wet and slippy roof now. I'm sure none of this will ever bother me again." Despite her worlds, Melody's mind flashed back to what had happened when she'd fallen in the Augmented Reality Game.
-
Ziona was laughing again. Skye stood there with an utterly baffled look on his face. -------------- "Yeah it it. If it wasn't, he wouldn't have saved me. I just... I thought he'd betrayed me and Mother, and I was a little jealous of him too, as he was gonna take the throne first. But when I caught up with him.... Well, lets just say I paid the highest price possible."
-
"I never took you of a source of parental advice Glen. Though Shadow even less so. At least you weren't talking about what I thought." "I'm missing something here, aren't I?" ----------------------- "Yeah, I do. I didn't realise how much he cared for me until that 'pulling out of his head' thing. I feel kinda bad I tried to kill him now."
-
"Hehehehe. I wasn't laughing at you Glen. Just the image of Shadow explain the birds and the bees." "The... what...?" "Never mind Skye." ---------------- "That's great. Sorry if i went too far, I can be a little... weird... around new people."
-
"You... and SHADOW... were talking to him... about that?" Ziona burst out laughing at the idea of Shadow dispensing that kind of talk. "Is this another of Shadow's comedy routines?" asked Skye. ---------------------- "Oh I really don't think you would. I just wanna protect my baby brother... well, twin brother now."
-
"Ummmm, well my head and stomach have felt weird today, but I guess that's part of the... love thing?" "What on Earth were you telling him Glen?" asked Ziona with an amused, cocked eyebrow. ------------------- "Of course we can be friends. But, if you break Skye's heart, I will make you suffer in way's you can't imagine." The threat was said in the exact same friendly tone she'd used when thanking Tikal.
-
"That's good Glen," replied Skye as he helped himself to a drink. "Hey Glen, me and Tikal , is this one of those 'mind changing' things you and Shadow were talking about a few days ago?" ---------------- "There's a couple of things I wanna say. First..." Melody suddenly leapt forward and embraced Tikal warmly. "ThankyouThankyouThankyou. I've never seen my brother as happy as he is now. Not when we were kids, not when I came back, not even with his new family. I don't know what was dragging him down but you seem to have chased it away. Thank you."
-
Skye blushed a little. "Really, really well, thank's Glen. How's it going with you?" ------------------------ "Good, we can talk in my room," said Melody as she led the way.
-
"Hmm, maybe. Excuse me." Melody headed over to Tikal. "Could I have a private word please?" ------------------ "After all that eh? I could use a refill as well and... oh, here comes half of the happy couple..." Ziona said as Skye arrived in the kitchen area. (ooc: Off to watch a film soon. See you later this evening)
-
Skye smiled back, and went to get a drink for himself. ------------------ "No, no! I'm really happy for Skye. I've.... I've never seen him this happy. Ever, ever, ever. I just think the two of them are... trying too hard." -------------- "Thank you Glen," said Ziona, turning back to him with a smile.
-
"No problem Tikal. If it gets too much for you, just say and we can head somewhere quieter." ----------------------- "As long as I don't look at them during there 'gooey-eye' moments, it doesn't both me," said Melody. ----------------------- "I'm sure I won't need to wait long Glen. At least, I hope not."
