"Mom's right Melody," said Skye. "We can help you if you tell us what's wrong." ""You wanna know what's wrong? You really wanna know? It's YOU!" Melody shrieked, grabbing Skye and pinning him against the wall. "You're ahead of me in everything! Mother's affection, magic, the throne, falling in love. The only thing I had above you was my age, and now you taken even THAT from me!" ------------------- "You just had to go there, didn't you?" asked Ziona with an amused smile.
-
Melody shot a quick glace of irritation towards her brother. "I'm.. fine Mom, just fine," she said, trying to sound normal. ----------------- "Of course I am. I'm surprised you aren't suffering from frostbite by now!"
-
"Joking... but.... on, nevermind. I'll leave the two of you to it." "Melody, what is wrong with you?" asked Skye, worried about how his sister was acting. "NOTHING is wrong Skye, okay?" --------------------- "Thank's for the offer Glen, but I'll pass."
-
"I... You... what..?" Melody was completely confused. ---------------- "Okay, I'm officially lost in the metaphor now!" Ziona joked. "Let's leave it behind."
-
Skye blushed slightly at Tikal's response to Melody, but looked a little concerned towards his sister. "Join you? Nonono, I'd only get in the way. Beside's I am happy for the two of you, rushing ahead with all this..." ------------ "But we're attacking each other inside the jacket! Won't help us much then!"
-
"As long as you're sure," Skye replied, also smiling. "Aw hell, are you two going to drown us with saccharine again?" Melody complained ------------------ "I'm... trying to work out how that metaphor works... If we're both wearing the same flak jacket how that that help if we're throwing the shrapnel?"
-
"What's bothering you about it?" Skye asked. ---------------------------- "Does it matter who throws it. The end will be the same."
-
"Hehe, yeah I'm sure. I've had it since I was young, since... well, that doesn't really matter." --------------- "Right now I think kisses might be as bad as a landmine."
-
"My ears...? Uh, ah. Don't worry about them," said Skye looking a little embarrassed. "Just a nervous twitch." --------------- "I walked into that one, didn't I."
-
"What do you mean Tikal? I'm feeling great. I... I'm not changing colour again am I?" ------------------- "You have a strange idea of what make an enjoyable moment then." ----------------- Melody picked up the mic and began to sing.
-
"Well, I'll try not to do THAT Shadow," Melody laughed as she went back to the karaoke machine. ------------------------- "I, uh, guess that makes sorta sense," said Skye, though the wiggling of his ears showed he really didn't get it. ----------------------- "I think some of the off-key singing may have broken the moment."
-
"Can I have another go please?" asked Melody "Huh, suspicious Dad?" Skye asked. ---------------- "Sorry, it sounded like you were Glen."
-
"Why were you reluctant dad? That way pretty good!" ----------------- "I told you, stop being so heavy and serious this evening, okay?"
-
"No I'm not. But it is a more conventional form of mind-control."
-
"Nope, you've got no choice now!" grinned Skye ------------------ "Like alcohol?" joked Ziona
-
"Well go on the Dad, show us what you've got!" enthused Skye. "Erm, would anyone mind if I had another go after Dad?" asked Melody -------------------- "I should warn you that Zone Cops have intensive training to protect against mind reading and control. It can be quite unpleasant for anyone who attempts it!"
-
"Hey Mom, that was good," exclaimed Melody. Skye was applauding Red. ---------------- "Are you saying YOU'RE a mind reader now?"
-
"Hey, no need to be so rude Melody. What's been with you since I got back today?" "Nothing Skye, now let's listen to Mom singing." ---------------- "And how do you know it hasn't all been an act?"
-
Melody sighed. "There's always one who has to spoil a party." She turned to Skye. "At least it's not you for once... Skye?" She snapped her fingers on front of Skye's face. "Hey, lover-boy, pay attention to what's going on around you." ------------------ "You didn't know me before Glen."
-
"Why not both?" suggested Melody --------------- "Hmph, I somehow doubt that." (ooc: did Glen ever care?)
-
"Hey, it wasn't that bad Dylan. Okay, who's left? Mom, Dad and Crowley I think." -------------------- "Hmm, maybe I should care more often."
-
Melody shot Hope an amused glance when Locke mentioned 'recordings'. ----------------- "Exactly. So stop worrying Glen."
-
"Do I have to do my 'sad puppy' look again?" Melody muttered to herself under her breath. She walked over to Hope. "Y'know, with all the trouble I getting you in with Shadow, I think I might be a bad influence on you." "If you're worried about missing a photographer while you sing I'll handle the camera if you want,"offered Skye. ----------------- "Did I say that Glen?"
-
"Yeah, c'mon Dylan. You can't back out now." -------------------- "I was just letting you enjoy the moment Glen." (ooc: and I'm back off to work now. See you all sometime after 9.)
-
"Thanks Dad, Thanks Glen. I had no idea how that would go," said Melody, slightly breathless. "I think you scared Shadow," she whispered to Hope.
