Skye Prower

"I, uh, wasn't trying to impress him," Mina lied. "I just... was worried..." Behind Mina, but in Shadow's line of sight, Skye began frantically waving his arms and mouthing 'NO!' over and over.

"I.. Alright then," Mina sighed. Obviously she'd been hoping to save Crowley alone. "Hang on," Skye shouted over. "We should stick together, so we don't need to have all this trouble finding everyone again. And Dylan is more likley to need our help than Crowley."

"I've only got fifteen minutes left. I might have to." ------------- "If Crowley isn't here yet, we should find him," said Mina (ooc: someones biased!) ------------- "Hee hee. Thank's Glen. It's a lot better than my regular uniform, anyway." ------------ "Oh, that was just a happy side effect," said Eggman with a pleased smile. "And if I were you, I'd worry more about those still inside the dream than me. If the dream-catcher there should happen to de-sync, well, they won't be waking up any time soon. If they're lucky."

"We can't just wait, we need to be more proactive to stop this dream," Skye said to Tikal. "I don't think I froze because of the dream Hope. What kind of assassin freeze when faced with danger?" Melody replied, her eyes darting breifly towards Mina. ---------- Ziona gave a little laugh. "Thanks. Maybe I'm seeing how that Junior League' look would turn out!" --------- "Armed and out to kill me?" Eggman sounded more curious than afraid. Being inside a large robot probably helped. "This IS different. So, before we begin, just who are you?"

"I... I know that Hope. But it should have happened to me. I've been trained for stuff like this... I shouldn't have frozen."

"He... its my fault. I let Scourge get to him and he... he tore one of his tails off," murmured Melody sadly. "Thanks. But it's a shame I need to get better at all." Ziona gave a slight motion away from Glen, still a little scared at what had happened, but still let him pat her head. She gave a small smile in reply. -------------- "I wouldn't do that if I were you Rouge," spoke Eggman, as the form of a large quaduped robot entered the room, the doctor piloting. "Wait, you aren't Rouge. Either that or work for GUN has really taken it's toll on you," he mocked.

Headless of the fact that Shadow could be preparing to attack her, or that it could all be an illusion, Melody rushed forward and embraced Hope. "There you are, are you alright?" she asked. Skye loosened his grip on Tikal. "I... I think I'm getting this now," he said, taking a few tentative steps. -------------------- "Lot's them, what do you mean 'lost them'?" bellowed Eggman. He cupped one hand to his face, grumbling. "They're probably heading to the dream-catcher core, whoever they are." He stood up and strode off the bridge "Bah, if you want something done right..."

"Doubly so in her line of work," commented Skye. "Yeah, I gathered," muttered Mina. "Hope? Hope?" Melody called as the world shifted back into focus around them

"Yeah. Though if I know Mom... Mother, she's probably got a spare tucked away." "Really. You seemed a bit distracted by them" Mina replied. "Enough talking, lets go," said Melody as she set off, the world beginning to change.

Melody looked back to Mina and Glen. "C'mon, C'mon. We don't want to be split again..." ----------- "I think your issues are bigger than mine," joked Mina as she helped Glen up.

"Yeah, at least I'm alive. And it'll all be over when we wake up!" ------------------ "Yeah, yeah. Die now." said Mina in a half bored, half taunting voice and she delivered the last blow.

"That you Tikal. I just wish you didn't need to see me like this," Skye replied. Mina grinned and rushed at the chameleon, using her superspeed to rain down multiple blows in a split second

"Good idea," said Skye. Although the pain was gone, missing a tail made it hard to walk, so he held onto Tikal for support. "C'mon, hurry, hurry!" said Melody. "Are you wanting any help there Glen?" asked Mina somewhat lazily.

"I know, I know. I just forgot to be careful with everything coming back into focus," "Can we go and find Hope now?" asked Melody. "She was with Crowley, so she should be fine, but..."

"As... as well as I can be," said Skye, looking behind him sadly at his one remaining tail. "Be careful. The pain will only be supressed for..." Main began "About twenty minutes, I know." Mina gave him a strange look. "How would you... oh, wait, dream. Stuff from my head. Nevermind, I've a psycho to help out." Mina sped off to help Glen fight. Skye looked a little worried that he'd almost given the game away.

"Getting out would be better than stopping," replied Mina to Locke. Skye grasped onto Tikal tightly, moaning her name. He tried to take the vial from Mina but couldn't manage. Mina took his head gently and poured the vial down his thought. Almost immediately, Skye's eyes came back into focus. On the plus side, he couldn't feel the pain any more. In the other hand, he couldn't feel anything. His whole body had gone somewhat numb. "Been a long time since I had one of those," Skye said, looking at the now empty vial. "You've had them before?" asked Mina.

(ooc: Darn forum ate my post) "He... Scourge got him..." Melody explained. "And when Dad try to rescue him he.... he... he..." Mina went over to Skye's side and pulled ut a small vial from her bracers. "Here, drink this. It will dull the pain." She glanced over to where Glen was standing up. "I think the nightmare is starting to win."

Skye heard Tikal speaking and tried to move free of Melody. But he was still disoriented by the pain and stumbled, his sister catching him just before he hit the ground. Melody caught Tikal's eye, and her guilt rose up again. "I'm sorry..." Ziona hurried over to help, but was unsure as to what she could do. --------------- "I guess nowhere's safe now," commented Mina. She turned to look at the children. "What happened to them?" she asked, sounding concerned. Distracted, she didn't she see the shadow make one final lunge towards her.

"Don't worry, Tikal," replied Ziona. "I'm not gonna do anything stupid. I said part, not all." She looked up as someone approached in the mist. At first it looked like some horrible monster, then Ziona realised it was Melody who was.... helping an injured Skye. "What is this place? It looks familiar..." Melody pondered, looking around. "I don't think I could live with myself if it ever happened," Mina responded, then she caught sight of the newcomers. "Red? Why did you bring her here? I thought she was safe!"

She was in training... And she's been on missions.... and that term can mean 'everyone who fights robotnik' Nicole?

(ooc: Melody probably thinks she's still with crowley and therefor safe then)

(ooc: Gah, I can't believe I, and by extension Melody, forgot about Hope! Um, we'll say what happened to her brother is distracting her...) The castle began to fade a the two children walked on. ---------------- "Then be glad your mother wasn't a crazy, obsessed tyrant. At least I'LL never be like that." ---------------- "Uh, is it bad to admit part of me doesn't want this dream to end, even with it being so horrible now."

*grins cheekily* So were the dinosaurs!

Skye squirmed out of Melody's hands. He tried to walk, but failed and fell over. Moaning, he started to crawl instead. Melody picked him up again, leaving him standing but holding one of his arms over her neck and supporting him with am arm round his waist. "Let me help you," she said, starting to walk with him. --------------- "You are a strange one," Mina commented. --------------- Ziona just looked at Tikal with a concerned expression.

Melody looked down at her brother, who's eyes were tight shut. "No, let's go find her." ---------------- "For now? Are you planning on cheating on your partner?" --------------- If Ziona heard what Mina and Glen were saying, she didn't show any sign. "Mostly? Is there something I can do to help?"
