Skye Prower

Skye laughed. "Yeah, our family's plenty big already. But, does that mean you had someone specific in mind when you said the family could get bigger?" he asked. ------ "That's... that's a stupid thing to do Glen," saud Anna shaking her head. "I wouldn't trust me." "Please Anna, stop worrying about the past," said Melody, catching Anna gently by both arms. "Focus on today and tomorrow, and show everyone that you can be trusted now. Trust does work both ways y'know."

Anna shot Glen a sideways glance. He seemed to have it backwards. She wasn't worried about people trusting her (though now he mentioned it...) but whether she could actually trust any of them. "I'm... I'm not sure I can call you a friend yet. Trust like that needs to be earned," she said to Glen. Melody decided to walk onto the balcony at this point. "Don't worry Anna. I'm it won't talk long before you realise you can trust all of us. Yes, even Shadow." Melody smiled, hoping Anna would do the same.

Skye nodded in agreement, then looked around the room. "You know, for almost everyone here, all the friends they have are here as well. Just a small, little circle." Skye raised his glass as if making a toast. "To the loners!"

"I see. That's a shame. Maybe that's why she gets on so well with Melody. Either that, or maybe she prefers hanging out with Mobians as opposed to humans."

"Just wish hard that's enough!" Skye said to Rouge, "Does Hope have many friends in the UF?" he asked curiously.

"Heh, thanks Rouge. I'm still not sure how much magic is a 'born with' or 'learned' talent, so you might not want to rule it out," said Skye, then he continued Shadow's point. "I hope not, for Hope's sake," Skye said with a smile. "I mean, Melody is about as far as you can get from being geeky, so it could only go the other way. If Hope ever says she's joining Melody for 'training', you know you need to start worrying."

"I did just write me, Melody, Mom and Crowley out of time this morning... Okay, that was more Melody, so..." Skye concentrated for a moment, then a small paper umbrella appeared in his drink. "There we go, reality warping. But, yeah, she and Melody do seem to get on really well, considering how different they are."

"I dunno. Time-travelling, reality-warping super-villain? I'm sure I could find something!"

"I'll keep that in mind, and try not to P*ss her off."

"Probably from Hope herself, if this morning is any indication," laughed Skye. "She'd probably whip out a taser and shoot Dad with it or something!"

"I have no &£$%ing idea. Maybe he's thinking of adopting Hope," said Skye, in a tone of voice that made it clear he was joking.

Skye laughed. "I don't think Crowley would appreciate that, even if he does seem to like the idea of people asking him for autographs and the like." Skye pondered for a second, swilling his glass around. " Ask me again at the end of the day. Maybe I'll be less weirded out and used to the idea by then. Assuming Dad doesn't make good on his threat to make the family even bigger..."

Skye noticed Shadow's shudder. "I'm sorry, I should probably stop that. I mean, it was alright before but now," Skye sighed, "my family's just getting messed up."

"Thanks Uncle Shadow," said Skye as he took the glass. "Though is is one of those time's I wish I was actually old enough for alcohol." he continued, his eyes darting towards the balcony.

Skye eyed the pitcher that Shadow had placed on the table. "Can I try some?" he asked.

"I hope so," replied Anna. "It hard not to think that this is just some horrible trick," she admitted. Outside, Melody felt her heart sink at that, the idea that Anna could think that she or Skye was lying to her.

"Well, the damage has been done now," sighed Zonia. --------------- "It was just, just the shock of having my past jump out at me suddenly," replied Anna, rubbing her hands together. "I wasn't expect it, that's all."

(ooc: Um, Glen and Glen...? Either he's cloned himself, or...)

Melody rolled her eyes. "I'm TRYING to be calm, but seeing my sister run off crying..." she shook her head, and heading to the balcony door. She waited outside, ready to head out if needed. "Sorry, I didn't think it'd come up," apologised Ziona. "Not your fault, or Glen's. You weren't to know. Hopefully nothing bad will come of this," said Skye. He look at Melody. "She's adapted fast," he muttered. ---- "Oh, hi. Uh, sorry about that. Just... a shock. I think... I'm okay now," said Anna to Glen, drying her eyes.

Anna face suddenly adopted an expression as if she just been slap hard. "I-I-I..... I need some air..." She sprinted from the kitchen out to the balcony. "Anna? Wha?" Skye didn't get a chance to finish before she was out of the room. "What was that about?" (ooc: I'm pretty sure Skye wasn't informed of that fact as well.) ------------------- "Great, we'll just have breakfast, and then..." Melody spun around as she felt Anna rush past. She saw Anna stop in the balcony, and it was clear she was crying. "OKAY! WHO SAID WHAT TO HER?" Melody yelled,

"Thanks Hope," said Melody as she picked one from the box. "And we're planning to head back into the resort. I only saw the arcade when we went there with Honey. Though, on the subject of the Arcade, I might dump Skye there at one point and take Anna shopping, given she's only got the one set of cloths now!"

"Aww, can I at least have a doughnut anyway Hope? And do you want to comewith?" --------------------- Anna still looked confused. Skye looked between her and Glen, then walked over to Glen and, standing on tiptoe, whispered in his ear. "Glen, Anna is trying to distance herself from being Mina. Besides, they don't look that similar, given Anna black and red colours after all."

Melody gave Hope a wink then turned to Locke. "Aww, please Daddy," she said, pulling a 'sad-puppy' face. -------------- "A... nasty surprise... what do you mean?" asked Anna.

Anna turned when Glen spoke up, recognising him but looking uncertainly at Ziona, who walked over to her. "Hello, Anna I think you said your name was? I'm Ziona." "Ziona... but... you... you sure got tall fast," exclaimed Anna. Melody turned when she heard Shadow Chaos Control back. "Hi again Hope," she said with a smile.

"Yeah, you're both right. Sorry, I'm just a little... highly strung right now," responded Melody to Locke and Crowley. "Can I get you anything to eat or drink?" Skye asked Anna, who gave a nod in response, and began following him to the kitchen. ------------- "I get the feeling compared to some of her surprises today that'll be a minor one," laughed Ziona as she headed towards the others.
