But a lot of people do like the thirll of being scared, as long as they are completely safe when it happens. Same thing with the rollercoaster." "Are you two planning a genocide?" asked Melody with amusement as she caught up with Hope and Anna. "Wha... N-no!" exclaimed Anna, looking horrified. ------------ "Welcome to the modern age Glen," said Ziona, laughing at Glen's expression. "But don't worry. I've a good idea where they might be heading."

"Does that mean... the only way for peace is for no more humans on Mobius?" Anna joked, then looked down at her feet with a guilty expression. "Sorry, sorry... That joke... was in bad taste... sorry."

"I some ways... its a shame you.. don't think there can ever be total peace. I suppose... it must come with being a smart person.... hard to fool yourself when you study the facts"

Anna looked at Hope curiously "I... I thought you'd be... uh... more of an optimist, 'it's only a matter of time' and that sorta thing.... But you're... more of a realist."

Skye broke of his arguing when Tikal spoke. "It's not real ghosts, just pretend ones Tikal." (ooc: way to spil the mood there Skye) --------------- "Good. I'm not sure why, but it certainly seems that way. I'll see if I can find her."

"Everyone has their own abilities... You don't need to be on the front line to count. But its a shame... this world shouldn't need a front-line"

"At least...when you get a bit older there'll probably be more people around you can talk to. And you have Melody outside work, so... that's something I suppose," said Anna, as Melody and Skye continued arguing. "And even if your not on the front lines, you're... still making a difference."

Anna followed Hope, while behind them Skye and Melody began to argue. "No one was paying attention to me Skye, and even if they we're they wouldn't have seen it properly." "We have to be careful, in case people start thinking..." "I'm the wrong freaking colour for that Skye! You're the one who more at risk there. Your tail is still showing!" "So... uh... Hope," asked Anna. "I heard you work for GUN. What's it like, I mean.... you don't seem like the kind of person to... uh... be in a military."

"I'll... Keep that in mind..." Melody ran off ahead, the straight back to the group. "Yep, there's a haunted house up ahead." "Melody, be careful," Skye chastised. "We shouldn't use our abilities in public."

"So... no ghosts then? Anna asked. "No real ghosts," Skye clarified. "You don't seem to get many vengeful spirits in this Zone." "Then it... could be fun... maybe."

Melody and Anna looked at each other. "I've... never been somewhere like this before," said Anna. "Uh, I passed through once, which was yesterday, when we went to the arcade. Aside from that... I'm mostly leaving directions of what's good and not to Hope." "Wait... did you... did you say 'haunted house'?" Anna asked Hope, sounding genuinely scared at the idea. ------- "That might not be the best idea Glen. Hope doesn't seem to keen on you, so it'll be best if I talk to her alone."

"When we get back, I'll find a frame for it," said Skye. "You mean you spend time with people who don't express emotions period!" Melody corrected Hope with a grin. Anna giggled a little. "Yeah, they do... take it a bit too far Hope," she agreed. ----------- "Once we get there, I'll find Hope to let her know I'm around, you have a look around for something for us to do!" said Ziona

"Maybe not the background, but its a great one of us," said Skye. "Perhaps we... should be a little less venomous at them," said Anna quietly to Melody and Hope. "I mean... they're not hurting us... and they are happy." ------------- "I wouldn't even dream of suggesting THAT!" said Ziona completely seriously.

Skye took the picture from Hope, showing him and Tikal just after Tikal had covered his ears. "What do you think?" he asked her. "Please tell me this is a bad as it's gonna get!" Melody said to Hope. Anna managed to stop laughing, but was gasping for breath. Part of her however, was quite pleased with how Skye and Tikal got on. After everything Skye had confessed to her, seeing him here with someone who loved him, and in such an innocent way, it made her truly think that there was hope for her. Then she mentally slapped herself for having such a corny thought. -------------- "You're right. Shall we go?"

"I don't know," replied Skye, smiling at the kiss and taking ahold of Tikal's hand, "lets find out!" "I got the photos!" called Melody as she came back. "This one's the three of us," she said, handing a print to Hope and Anna, "and this one is Skye and Tik... SERIOUSLY? You two were making doe-eyes at each other on a freaking rollercoaster?" she exclaimed. Anna bend over double with laughter. ------------------ "Sounds like an idea, but I don't think any of the kids will appreciate an old man like you crashing their little gathering. I could just give Hope a way to contact me quickly if she wants."

(ooc: Hope has to be the most unromantic teenage girl I've known! :P) The ride came to an end. "Thanks for the 'earmuffs'," said Skye to Tikal ad he helped her out of the car. "It's the little things like that you treasure. Did you enjoy it?" Melody asked the exact same question to Hope and Anna. "Oh yes! It was great," replied Anna with sparkling eyes. "Hey, look. The ride had a camera fitted," pointed out Melody. "I'll go and get the pictures for us." ----- "Yes, I did promise Hope I'd be around incase she needed a respite form the weirdness or a quick escape," replied Ziona when the kiss ended.

Skye smiled appreciatively at Tikal and mouthed 'I love you' to her. --------------- "Oh, I think I can work with that!" said Ziona, placing her glass down on the counter-top.

Melody shrieked with delight as the car sped along the track. Anna kept quiet, but was still grinning. Skye was torn between enjoying the ride, and his ears aching with the high pitched shrieks all around. ------------ "You're getting all mushy again!" joked Ziona, but it was clear she did appreciate the compliment.

Skye moved one of his hands closer to Tikal, in case she wanted to grip it as the roller-coaster moved. Melody and Anna were wearing almost identical grins. ------------- "Oh, are you already looking around for someone else?" putting on a mock jealous voice as Glen turned his attention to Rouge.

"No problem my cute little angel," replied Skye. "Oh boy," muttered Melody as she looked back, "you're right Hope." "Are they... always this bad?" asked Anna. "Believe it or not they're normally worse," replied Melody, causing Anna to break into a giggling fit. Melody almost made a comment about the Crowley fan-girl incident, then decided against it to be on the safe side as the car began moving. ------------- "Yes, somehow I really doubt you would," replied Ziona, grinning. ------------ A different idea popped into Miles head. Rather than following the group, waiting for Mina to become separated, he could find a way to infiltrate it. He pulled out his notebook from a pocket and flicked through it. There was a transformation spell ritual he'd been working on to disguise his appearance, or other apt uses. This seemed like a good opportunity for a trail run. Miles turned and walked away, looking for a quiet spot to set up.

Skye smiled. "I'll keep you safe then." ------------ "If only all criminals could be reformed so easily," sighed Ziona

"I really hope you enjoy this," said Skye as he got into the car, a very slight not of concern in his voice. -------------- "Yeah. At least he's making a good recovery. He was rather shocked when he found out what happened to the person who put him in hospital." -------------- Miles suddenly realised what was going on. There wasn't a sinister plan. They were just spending time at the park. "What kind of people brainwash someone then merrily play around a park?" he muttered to himself.

"Yep. Lets grab a seat!" -------------- "I do. I'd just forgotten how much. My visit? Better than I expected actually. Zet was a lot more animated than I thought, and he actually wanted me to call the bosses. With luck he won't suffer too much for what he did."

"More than that, I can't say. I've never been on one before either," said Skye. --------------- "Hi Glen," said Ziona as he entered. "Just making myself another milkshake as I forgot to grab one when the paradox kids showed up." --------------- Miles stared at the group. Why were they going on a roller-coaster of all things? Just what were they up to?

"Oh yes, we've got the front car," said Melody with a grin. She shoot a very rapid glance between Anna and Hope, then gestured for Anna to get in first, so Melody would be in the middle. She shot Hope a look to say 'I guess you'd rather not sit next to her?'. "A roller-coaster? Well, you see that car racing along that track over there. That's a rollercoaster. We've going on a bigger one! You're either going to be thrilled, terrified... or both," explained Skye ------------ Ziona headed back into the kitchen.
