"C'mon. We better find the others before they wonder if we've disappeared or something," said Skye, though he seemed reluctant to actually follow through on his suggestion. ----------------- "You already are," said Ziona, snuggling up closer.

Melody was quiet for a bit as she though back to her own lessons. "This... may sound a little bit creepy, but it really isn't. I'm going to cast a small spell through you, so it's YOUR spell, despite the fact I cast it. Then you need to try and will the spell to end."

"Heh, I'm glad you think so. But I'm gonna start off by teaching you how to disenchant, so if stuff goes wrong you have a change to stop it."

"It shouldn't be. Though it's always been unclear if magic is something anyone can do, or just selected people. Or if everyone can use magic but the limits of which are different. All I'm saying is don't go expecting to be able a throw fireballs around by the end of lunch!"

(ooc: I've now idea how magic actually works in this verse, this is just my take on it.) "Right... Umm, er... well... Magic is all about channeling energy. Those funny words and gestures? The ones you've seen Skye use? Each of those helps channel magic in a specific way. Of course, it mostly come down to willpower, and willing magic to work the way you want. If you have a strong enough will you can do without the gestures and words".

"I was thinking more about some colourful lights. Makes it easy to see if its working or not... At least I think so... Hmm, and I suppose I should kinda explain how magic works..."

"Cool. We can find a table and start practicing while we wait for the lovebirds to catch up." "Are you sure it's safe Melody?" asked Anna "As long as we only play around with minor cantrips it'll be fine," said Melody in an attempt to reassure her.

"Well, if we keep it small we could try over lunch?" Melody suggested.

"Yeah, I don't think Dad or Shadow would be amused. Rouge might be if we turned everyone to crystal by accident."

"I... well, I've never really taught anyone before, but I'll give it a shot. It might not be best doing it here though. Don't want a horrible magical misfire in the middle of a hotel resort!"

"Yeah... I've kinda got the hang of the teleporting, but that's about it. But I hope I don't need to learn any of the... other uses," said Anna "Maybe I should teach you both a disenchantment, just in-case!" suggested Melody.

"Actually, they can be fun. As long as you know a disenchantment or two!" "I'm beginning to think I might be spending a lot of time hiding in my room!" said Anna.

"Yeah, you've never taken part in a prank war involving magic. If we do end up having one, I'll warn you to stay clear!"

"Aww, but that takes all the fun out of pranking... But maybe it's for the best. We probably don't want an area of Haven that exists permanently in a reality warping state."

"Yeah, we should be safe. As long as Skye doesn't pull a magical prank to infect everyone with mushiness." "Would he actually do that?" asked Anna. "Probably not, but he can get a little funny if you push him too far."

"Then you better pray Skye and Tikal's 'wuvyness' isn't contagious!" Melody turned to Anna. "If you laugh any harder I'm gonna need to carry you!"

"My cute little angel," Skye replied, kissing her on the forehead, "I'll never stop, until you ask me to." -------------- Melody gave a sudden shudder. "Thank's Hope," she said sarcastically, "Now you've just given me the image of Rouge and Shadow acting like Tikal and Skye." Anna started giggling. ------------- "I think I may need to make up for lost time."

Melody glanced back. "As long as I was wrong about the whole 'trying to hard' thing. I don't want that to be the first sign things are breaking down already."

Melody shook her head. "I thought it would just bounce off their 'fluffy wuv' shield like all the rest did."

Anna followed Melody and hope, glad to be out of the haunted house. "Okay. As you asked, I'll try," replied Skye, smiling. He held the exit door open for Tikal. ----------------- "Mmm, I never realised what I was missing," said Ziona.

"Sorry," said Skye to Hope and Tikal together, casting his eyes down. "So, uh... food then?" said Melody as she began heading outside. -------------- "Then get a jacket!" said Ziona, but she still sat down and wrapped her arms and tail round Glen.

Skye looked a little hurt at what Tikal said, and turned to glare at Melody. -------------- "Yeah, here we are again. It seems like a lifetime ago."

Skye laughed. "Not quite. But it wasn't exactly pleasant now was it. We've far better memories for the two of us to remember." "Oh boy, there they go," mumbled Melody. -------------- "I hope so, it was only a few days ago! Or was it only yesterday..."

"Heh. No problem. Shall we go.." Skye began then deliberately turned to face Tikal and Anna, "...and put all of this behind us?"

"Um, well..." "I think there was a large restaurant next to the arcade," said Skye. ------------ "Should I call Dylan and his camera then," smiled Ziona, as she moved closer to Glen and did just that.
