"Maybe you missed your calling in life. You should have been a spellcaster, not a techy," joked Anna, fascinated by the lights. She tried poking them for second time.

"Don't worry. I'm sure you'll love it," said Skye. Melody watched the lights move with an impressed look. "You really seem to have a knack for this Hope." ----------- Ziona blushed slightly at Glen's comment.

Melody pondered for a moment, while Skye shot worried glances in her direction. "I think... I'd be safer to stick with the lights for now," said Melody. Skye's worried looked became one of relief but also surprise. "But, see if you can play around with it. More lights, less lights, different colours. Make them move around. That kinda thing."

"Cool. Do you wanna try playing around with the light and making them do different stuff, or try another spell?"

"It is... though... that'll depend on if you find it tasty or not I guess," said Skye. "While we wait for the ice cream, do you wanna practice spells some more?" Melody asked Hope. ----------------- "You compared a recovering alcoholic to a drink! How's that a compliment," replied Ziona, laughing.

The Moebian kid's quickly followed suit, Skye smiling at Tikal as he ordered.

I agree with that. I have to say, it is kinda surprising that they'd put out some less... polished artwork out at this time, when there is already issues with the redesigned of everyone. You'd think they'd try and have the artwork top notch until everyone is used to the new look.

"Cheese cake it is then!" said Skye. "Everyone chosen? Good!" Melody waved the waiter over again. ----------- "Hey, I'm not that badly pickled," Ziona joked, giving Glen a playful jab in the ribs.

"Not a problem Hope. I've got them to use after all," said Melody "I'm not saying she shouldn't eat it, I'm just think she can't..." Skye tried to explain. "Wait, did that make any sense?" "No," replied Anna, not even bothering to look up from the menu. "Uh, okay. Erm, choosing for both of us... Uh..." he glanced at Tikal. "Do you like cheesecake?" "I think I'm gonna have the pancake and waffle combo," said Anna, putting her menu down. ----------- "You've managed that so far."

"We're there now Tikal!" joked Skye. "We are about to order desserts after all." "Coupons can be used here. So that'll cover your split Hope, so I'll think I'll get the mega chocolate sundae," said Melody. "Uh... that's meant for two people," pointed out Skye. "So?" "You haven't done that much running or magic today, you shouldn't be that hungry!" ------------------ "I hope so. As long as I'm not a 'mean sober'!" Ziona joked.

"I don't mind. But if you're worried about not finishing..." replied Skye. "Hold on, let me check if I can use them here," said Melody, pulling out the voucher book. ------------- "Thank you," Ziona replied simply.

"We can share one, if you want," offered Skye ---------------- "I wasn't worried about our relationship affecting that. I meant my drinking habits could lead there," replied Ziona

(ooc: Melody is a bad influence on Hope! :P ) "Nice choice," replied Skye, "but I doubt I'll be having the ice cream. Melody still has all those free ice cream vouchers. I'll be sick of the stuff by the end of the month if I have too much!" Melody finished her burger and snatched up the menu. "Right, which pud has the most chocolate?" she asked. ---------------- Ziona gave a little laugh. "You're cute when you worry, you know that? And really, it is not important. I was worried it might start affecting my friendships, or my work. But it hadn't reach that stage yet."

(ooc: That raises a question. How on mobius are Rouge and Shadow gonna react to Hope coming back and saying 'I'm a witch now!'? :P ) Melody wolfed down the rest of her burger, not wanting to be left behind. "Careful, you'll choke!" joked Skye as he started looking at menu himself. "Do I want more waffles?" Anna asked herself. Unseen by those at the table, a young brown-furred wolf glanced in their direction as he ordered a drink from the counter.

"Time won't be an issue. We'll have way's to keep in touch until then. Dunno about the money thing though." "How about rather than worrying about what's in the piggy bank, you finish off your burger while the rest of use choose desserts!" said Skye, polishing off the last of his chips,

Melody was thoughtful for a minute, then an idea popped into her head. "Hey, wait. That Aug Reality booth. Could you set up one at GUN that was linked to another at Haven, so that if we were in we could see and talk to each other? It would be perfectly safe too! Heck, even if we didn't train, it'd give us a chance to talk almost face to face!"

"Hmm, well if you were to get good enough with magic to learn a teleporting spell that would solve this distance issue," suggested Melody. Skye spluttered into his drink.

Melody laughed, and Anna managed a smile. "You don't need to decide now. Just think about it. It would be a shame to deny something you still enjoy," Melody said to Anna, then turned to Hope. "What about you? I've already got you involved in magic! Wanna get involved in Training too?" She paused and turned to face the other side of the table. "What about you Tikal?"

"Hope's right. There's plenty of options," said Skye, having already polished off his steak and now smothering the chips on his plate in sauce. "Including, if you wanted," said Melody with a strange look, "Training." Anna looked up from her burger, shocked. "Training? But you can't mean..." "Yes, I do. C'mon, admit it. You found some of fun right? Not the more icky stuff. The running, jumping, falling off things. The whole obstetrical course part. You still find that fun, right?" "I... well..." "Besides, running, jumping and falling is pretty what you do if you're a 'good guys' here!" joked Melody. That notion seemed to settle Anna a bit. ------------- "Never mind. It's not important."

Skye began eating, as did Melody, though after her first bite she took a big gulp of her drink, the burger being more spicy than expected. Anna sat there, looking at her burger. "Don't tell me you've never had a cheeseburger!" exclaimed Melody, seeing Anna's expression. "No, I have," Anna replied slightly awkwardly. "It's just, not for a while, because..." "Work's in the past. You don't need to stay a peak condition now," said Skye. "Melody certainly isn't!" Melody gave Skye a whack on the back of the head, which just caused him to laugh. "If you're worried about getting out of shape, I'm sure we can set up a test track for running," said Melody. "For now, just enjoy yourself." Anna nodded, and started eating, a smile appearing on her face. -------------- "It's not the only thing..." sighed Ziona, "but we can stop it before anything bad does happen."

Melody glanced between Tikal and Hope. "Well, we can always pop in later... Right now... ah, here comes the food!" -------------- Ziona laughed. "True. Though sometimes it felt like it was."

"Nothing to worry yourself about. It never happened after all," said Skye. "There wasn't a pointy hat in the haunted house's gift shop, was there?" pondered Melody. --------- "Thank you," replied Ziona. "If you been through this too, you'll understand."

Ziona looked at Glen. "Just stop me. Whenever I try to have a drink, just stop me." ---------- Anna gave a little chuckle. "You shouldn't do that. You've a nice laugh. It'll be a shame to spoil it." "Doesn't rule out the hat though!" "Sorry about what I said," Skye apologised. "I was just thinking about... someone else." ----------- Looking in the mirror, Miles took in the effects of the transformation ritual. Instead of the overly neat, yellow furred, two tail fox, the reflection showed a scruffy, brown furred, single tailed wolf cub. The only things similar to Miles real form were the age and the hair colour. "Hmm, not bad. Ritual still needs a little work," Miles commented. Even his voice and accent had changed. Now that he was ready, Miles concentrated again on the tracking spell. He would find Mina. And he would save her.

"I know, but there's no reason to look upset now," said Skye taking Tikal's hand. "Now all you need is a pointy hat and work on your cackling," joked Melody. -------------- Ziona nodded.

"There's no trouble here though," replied Skye -------------- "Uh, well.... You may have noticed I like a drink or two... Truth is, I like it too much..."
