Skye Prower

Anna was ahead of Melody and Hope, mainly because she was running alone. She reached to front door to the penthouse, only to realise it was locked. She started fumbling through her pockets for the key. ----- "Got it," said Melody, as she took a little leap off the wall to catch the ledge of the balcony, then flipped herself and Hope over the railings onto the balcony herself. "Made it!" grinned Melody, who then entered the main room. ----- Anna found the key and slid it into the lock, entering the main room. "Mom? Dad? We're back!" both girls called from either side of the room, then burst out laughing as they saw just how close cut it had been!

With Hope's encouragement, and in tow, Melody ran straight up the side of the building towards the balcony, drawing a few cries from the crowd below.

"Yeah! Wait... Blast, Anna's already through the front doors! Looks like we don't have a choice if we want to win!" said Melody, now only a couple of meters away from the hotel wall.

Melody gave a wide grin. "If you're up for it. Yell if you get vertigo!"

"No problem. Now let's beat my Sis!"

"Whoops! Sorry," said Melody, as she doubled back and took Hope by the hand again.

"Unless her prime copy's out for a run that's her! We're ahead, and almost at the hotel. We've got a chance!" yelled Melody happily as she took off towards the hotel.

Melody took the jump ahead. "That was the last one. Now just hop down from this roof to the garage roof to the ground," she said as she did just that. "Back on solid ground! Can you see Anna?" Melody asked.

"Don't worry. One more jump to go then we can head back to ground level..... Run back I mean. Not falling!"

"You're not having fun?" asked Melody with some concern.

"Here we go!" called Melody as she leapt three gaps in quick succession.

Melody gave Hope a warm grin at that, and possibly would have jumped for joy if they hadn't been in the middle of a race. "There's gonna be a bit of jumping ahead! Get ready!"

"Of course this work! Just hang on," yelled Melody as she ran into, and then up, the wall. She gave a relieved sound. "I wasn't sure I could do that with a passenger," she revealed. "But we'll have a more direct route from the roofs than weaving through the streets and crowds."

"That's because I've got a handicap," joked Melody, as Anna began pulling ahead. "Oh no you don't. Hang on tight, we're gonna take a shortcut," said Melody, aiming for the wall of a nearby building.

Wow! There's a heap of new faces here now. That's great to see!

"Yeah. They're normally pretty cool about this sorta thing," Miles replied. -------------- "Great!" Melody took Hope's hand and turned to Anna. "Race ya!" "You're on!" Anna replied with surprising enthusiasm. "Ready? 3.. 2.. 1... GO!" ------------- Ziona laughed. "Okay then! Glad I chose the fish option so it was an easier choice!"

"That's true," said Miles. "I just hope they'll let me watch some films with you guys." ---------- "Cool. Wanna have a leisurely walk, or feel the proper rush of speed?" asked Melody, offering Hope her hand. --------- "Yes. Thank's again for the suggestion," replied Ziona. "Out of interest, what was the meat choice you had in mind? I'll see about trying that at the next opportunity."

"That's great. We're just gonna find Lucas' parents, then we'll join the rest of them at the hotel," said Skye. "They should still be at the amusement park. I just hope they haven't been worrying about me," said Miles. Without Mina there to distract him, Miles was finding it much easier to stay in character. ------------------ "I know. But even still, trying to say that the destruction of a universe was a good thing is still silly. But how about we head to the hotel. I think Anna really want's to watch her spy film!" ------------------- "Well, it's my first time to the floating island," said Ziona, trying to make it sound causal. "I know you said this... uh, slushy... was actually from the dragon kingdom, but I didn't have any opportunity to try it until now."

Lucas saw Tikal arrive first. "Glad you could join us... uh, Tikal, wasn't it?" he asked, sounding pleasant. "You decided not to go with the girls?" askedSkye, a pleased tone in his voice. -------------- "Definitely a good choice," Ziona said to Mina. "I really should try more of what this.... place has to offer." Ziona had been a moment away from saying 'Zone'.

Skye and Lucas hadn't got far, so it was easy enough for Tikal to catch up with them. ------------- "Still, I should think before saying stupid stuff," said Melody. -------------- Ziona also began eating. "Hey, this is pretty good," she said.

"Oh, I... Sorry Hope," replied Melody. "I didn't mean to be callous." "You could catch up with them if you're that worried," said Anna to Tikal. -------------- Skye and Lucas walked back towards the amusement park, chatting friendly to each other. Though, with his suspicious raised from what the girls had been saying, Skye was begining to wonder about some of the things Lucas was saying. It was almost as if he didn't not that much more about the prime zone than he did. -------------- "Deal," said Ziona.

"You seem awfully happy about Skye causing untold devastation," said Anna. Melody blushed. "Well, you see, the reason he did it... it was for me. He thought the energy released could be used to return me to life. It showed just how much he cared about me," Melody explained. Anna nodded then, after a moments hesitation, put a comforting hand on Tikal's shoulder. "Don't worry. Even if something is wrong, I think Skye will be fine." --------------- "I should hope not!" exclaimed Ziona.

"Even if you are worried, Skye can handle himself. He did almost blow up this Zone after all!"

"Phew, I can relax now," joked Melody

Melody and Anna laughed. "I think Skye is just one of those kid's that needed mothering from everyone," said Melody. "So you don't need to worry, until you start mother me or Tikal!"
