"True. You know, I was a little excited about going 'home'... I'm not sure it was ever home... Gah, what's wrong with me, babbling like this?" ------------- "Remind me to NEVER play you at poker... or did you stack the deck?" asked Anna with a sly smile. ------------- Ziona gave Glen a wink, the continued talking to Zave, this time about more serious matters about the case.

(ooc: The story? Well, I've nothing planned for everyone except for the Miles/Hope jail break. Which will take a few day of in-game time) "Yes..." said Melody uncertainly. "Hope.... have you ever had a dream where you're home, but everything is somehow subtly different... just slightly off... so it isn't home anymore? That creepy, uncomfortable sensation that you're a stranger in your own home? That's how I'm feeling...except, the thing that's off... it's me." -------------- "He made you a master emerald replica!" laughed Anna. "Where can you even put something like that?" -------------- Balancing the phone between her ear and shoulder, Ziona stood up, gave Glen a kiss on the cheek, and mouthed 'thank you!'.

Melody started walked. "It feels strange being back here..." she murmured to herself. ------------ "That's good. I've know too many thieves who would doom the world, and themselves, just to have a shiny coin for a few minutes. Even though they know they won't have anywhere to spend it!"

"Yep, let see.... I think we are.... here. So we need to go that way a bit. We should hit a small dirt path pretty soon. The we follow it north until we reach Red's house." ---------------- "By the sound of things you got the best of that deal! I assume that immunity wouldn't cover you if you tried to steal from your employer's though!" joked Anna ---------------- "And your dogged persistence!" added Ziona

Melody looked around. The sights. The smell. This was Moebius all right. "Looks like your teleporter worked Hope," she said still looking around. Then an uncomfortable thought slid into her mind. What if the reason she was fitting into the Prime Zone was something to do with the Zone itself? Prime Zone made you nicer, Moebius made you worse... Would her being her somehow make her... She shook her head, no, that didn't make any sense. There were too many exception for starters. --------------- "Just talk... Okay then... Um... Well... How did you end up working for GUN?... I mean... uh... you don't really seem the military type." asked Anna --------------- Ziona laughed.

Just because something is bad, it doesn't mean that it can't be turned into something good later on. Though, like many of the others above, I'd say it's too soon to have an adequate feel of quality. However, one things bugs me...

Melody patted the hidden sheath where her knife was. "I'm all set. Besides, with any luck we won't need equipment." ---------------- "That's good," said Anna as she sat down, but looked a little unsure what to do next. "I'm, uh, not used to helping people get better..." ---------------- "Let's just say a made a strong impression on one or two cops."

Skye continued to read, enjoying being close with Tikal in this peaceful place. He almost forgot what had happened the rest of the day. --------------- "Ready when you are," said Melody, tucking the envelope safely away. "I'll.... stay and keep an eye on Rouge while you're gone," said Anna. "If... uh.... I won't be in the way... and it's okay with her." --------------- Ziona gave a laugh and turned back to Glen. "Apparently there may be one or two of those cops who are jealous of you!"

Skye smiled, picked up his book, and began reading aloud. --------------- Anna came out of her room holding an envelope that she gave to Melody. "There you go. And here's direction on how to find Red's house. If she's not there, hide it in the hidden compartment in the loose tile just above the back window. And... be careful little sister." "I will be Anna," replied Melody with a grin. "I'll be back before you can miss me," she said, heading over to Shadow door and knocking. After a second Anna followed, remembering she said she'd watch over Rouge. --------------- Ziona nodded and took the phone back. "What's that? No, I don't have a thing about men in uniform.... Yes I know I flirted with the other cops, but that's because I was working with them..."

"Only if you want," Skye replied. -------------- "Heh! Don't worry, I will be. If Anna finishes her letter in time." ------------ "How do you know about THAT?" asked Ziona with shock.

"Tikal, do you... do you want me to continue from where we left off?" asked Skye, holding up the book he'd brought. ------------ "I won't let you down," replied Melody. Then on a sudden impulse, she gave Locke a tight hug. "I love you Daddy," she said. ----------- The phone conversation continued for a while, Ziona clearing enjoying it. But eventually, the subject turned to... "Yes... I DO have a boyfriend now! ... No, I'm not making this up," Ziona turned to look at Glen. "Glen, do you want to say hello to Zave?"

"I'll get started," said Anna, grabbing some paper and a pen and heading into Melody's room.

"Just a peaceful as I remember," said Skye, sitting down against a tree, taking off his boots, and paddling his feet in the water. --------------- Melody's face took on a serious look. "Don't worry Dad. I will behave. I promise" -------------- "She certainly got an earful about it from Zet," said Ziona as the phone connected. "Hey Zave! It's Ziona. How're you holding up?" It didn't take long for the two of them o become engrossed in their conversation.

"Heh heh, thanks," replied Skye, blushing even more than Tikal was, despite his red fur, ------------ "Please Dad," said Melody, pulling a 'sad puppy' face. "At the very least can I see them off?" ------------- "Yes she is. I just hope she doesn't think I've been ignoring her while she's been arrested..." said Ziona as she found her phone ad started dialing the number.

"Yes. And you make it moreso," replied Skye, slipping back into the complements, hoping they would cheer them both up. --------------- "I still need to write the letter, so there's a little while before you can leave," said Anna. "And I can stay with Rouge while you're gone Shadow," she offered. -------------- "I'll be happy to talk to her too," replied Ziona as she started heading towards her room.

Skye smiled as the two set of towards the forest. ----------- "She knew him and she never told me..." murmured Anna. "So if Shadow goes you'd be happy to let me go to?" asked Melody. ----------- "While I'm tempted to do that, if I leave my post now, it could have repercussions for the children. It wouldn't be fair for them to be carted off again just because I didn't stick around. I'm pushing things enough as it is."

"I wanna. Dad won't let me," said Melody.

"This time we should be able to enjoy ourselves without anything happening," said Skye as he headed out. --------------- "Yeah, but, thirty years is a 'long way'," said Melody. "So maybe they don't meet for a year or two. Or maybe even a decade. Twenty years would still be a long time!" --------------- "I really doubt she can come to visit Glen. She'd under house arrest right now."

Skye smiled and offered Tikal his arm. ----------- "I'm not sure she knows Crowley yet..." said Anna. "Which only leaves me. And Miles is in jail, so no one else will be looking for us." ------------- "Good idea."

Skye pondered wearing sunglasses to cover his eyes for a moment, then decided it'd just look silly. He went out into the main room. "Are you good to go?" he asked Tikal, trying to smile. -------------- "But I really need to tell Red what's happened. I can't just leave her hanging. If I go with them and go in first... she know me, so it should be safe," said Anna. -------------- "Yeah. I think I left my phone back at the hotel."

As Skye looked for his book he caught sight of his eyes in the bedroom mirror. He gave a sudden as he saw the black stains. "I must have lost control more than I thought," he muttered to himself. ---------------- "Uh, Dad. You do know that bad stuff only happens when we're all together! So going with Hope should be safe." --------------- "I know," replied Ziona to Glen's first point. "Hmm, I could. If she's not too busy with the Nega assassination charge."

"It'd be safe if something did go wrong," said Melody

"Is that the teleporting thingy you mentioned? I'd like to try it out too!" said Melody.

Melody tried to hide the shudder she felt at the mention of Hope's Moebian version. "Well.... that might give you a chance to get in and out safely!" she pointed out. "And... I think from what Mom was saying, at this time she was... Red was... uh... Red was in hiding, so if the message was dropped in a safe place at her house, she should get it eventually."
