Melody's face, despite her black fur, visibly blushed red. "I... uh.... Thank's for understanding..." she stammered out. "We really are gonna need to be careful...."

Skye was still unconscious. Good thing, otherwise the poor cub would feel immensely guilty. ------------- "Uh, I was wonder if you could check with Mom if It'd be okay for Red to stay for a bit?" said Anna. ------------- Ziona slid an arm round Glen and leaned next to him watching the last rays of the sunset.

Melody breathed a sigh of relief. 'Then for the moment we're still ourselves', she though happily as she snatched up the tiara and placed it back on her head. 'I just don't feel complete without it' she thought, not meaning to broadcast it.

'Uh.... sorta...' Melody thought, looking a little awkward. 'I thought it might be a good test to see if more than just thought's were being passed between us. If you'd picked up a little bit of 'me', then you'd have probably tried to put it on the moment you saw it!'

Melody gave a little jump when she 'heard' Hope. 'Yeah. I didn't hear anything either,' thought Melody in reply. She glanced towards the tiara. 'I shoulda been more subtle... Whoops, did she hear that?'

On the balcony Melody couldn't hear anything. Which either meant Hope was out of range, or the effect had disappeared already. An idea crossed her mind. Still worried about the idea that more than just mere thoughts could be passing between them, Melody took off her tiara, and set it down on the balcony table between where she and Hope had been sitting. To her, the tiara was something she associated with her whole 'princess' desire, so if that had been passed onto Hope by this 'sharing thoughts' thing, Hope might try wearing it. Once it was in place she tried pushing it out of her mind, so that Hope wouldn't detect the test. She began concentrating on the music, and started singing along.

Skye stirred slightly. "I think I... use far too much magic today... might have burned myself out..." and with that slipped back into unconsciousness. -------------- 'Yeah,' thought Melody. 'I wonder how far this work. Hey, how about asking Shadow to take you back to GUN quickly because you want to pick something up, and then we'll see if we can still hear each other?" ------------- Anna turned to face Locke, trying to convey 'Can you check that Mom won't mind' too him with just her face. ------------ "A romantic sunrise and a sunset on the same day. No matter how hard the day was, these make it worthwhile," said Ziona quietly.

"Uh.... If it gets worse, if we do start gain part of the other personality, then yeah we should tell someone. But until then no," said Melody. 'After all, having a secret way to talk to each other could be sooooooooooo much fun!' she thought.

"Here we go," said Skye, slowing incanting a spell. The earth where they are started collapsing began to shake and tumble out of the hole by it's own accord. Before too long the hole was clear. Skye smiled, then dropped unconscious. -------------- Melody gave a slight start at Hope's crown statement, hoping she was joking. "Uh.... well... we're not picking up everything, so maybe it's only 'strong' thought, or if we're trying to read each other's mind?" suggested Melody. -------------- "Now? Well I hope you can stay for a bit Red," said Anna. Though she did wonder how the two Red's together might cope. ------------- Ziona smiled, then twisted round to kiss Glen back. (ooc: dyed fur? Really? Just be glad Ziona did hear you say that! :P )

I'm amazed that no one has done this yet. And to save clogging up the status bar.... MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! (Or other greeting as required!)

"Okay. Stand back!" said Skye ----------- "Oh, and if you start getting an overwhelming desire to be a princess, or I get one to built techy stuff, we scream, okay?" added Melody. ----------- "Yes. It should!" ---------- "No trouble. You're paying me back now after all!"

"Yeah. Sorry about that... uh... Just in case, so we try and find a way to... uh... not transmit random stuff like just there?"

"Yeah, that's right. Hmm, I could cheat a little and use some magic to burrow our way in?" ------------- Melody gulped. "Yeah. I hate to image what kinda stuff a broken teleporter could do." An array of gruesome images went through her head. ------------ "Thank's Red. And likewise, so very much!" ------------ "Mmm. Thanks!"

"How... how do you just suddenly 'become' a telepath! You said... uh.. though something about that teleporter. Was it because I grabbed you on the way back? It was because I grabbed you wasn't it?"

Melody burst out laughing, with a slightly hysterical edge. "Did that diamond carrying thing actually happen or are you making it up?"

"I don't know that one!" laughed Skye, but he tried to sing along anyway. --------------------- "It wasn't spite. It was 'cause you'd.... never... guess..." Melody's eye's widened. "This is a trick, this has gotta be a trick right? Um.... does this mean you should think of something?" --------------------- "That and the shock of being confront by the 'ghost of future past'! It's more the shock of this sudden change. But I don't mind. I prefer me now. Uh, do you?" --------------------- "I can only imagine," said Ziona as she started driving Glen's dreads gently.

"Come again?" whispered Melody. "You're just joking right. You made some lucky guess and are now joking that you didn't say anything?" The whole idea was just crazy, but.... Maybe it was just lucky guess work. Melody tried to think of something that she knew Hope would never guess to think of. And settled on a memory of Skye and Tikal having one of their 'wuvy' moments. No way would Hope guess that! "Okay, I'm thinking of something!"

Melody had gone back to looking at the sunset, trying to put the oddity of what just happened out of her head. "Hope," she said, still looking out at the sunset rather than at Hope. "Will you PLEASE stop thinking out loud? It's rather disconcerting. And no, I'm certainly NOT a ventriloquist. And you should think of less crazy solution than the hearing thoughts one!"

Skye laughed and used his magical to create a couple of shovels. "Know any motivational digging songs?" he asked jokingly. ---------------- "Just... just calm down Hope," said Melody. Hope's worry was starting to get agitate her more than usual. "Just slow down and think it through. You're smart, you should work it out. Is anything even still happening?" -------------------- "I know, thank you, thank you" happy to have Red there to comfort her. "It something I'll need to get used to with this new life. I'm a different person than who I was." ---------------- "Yes it was," said Ziona, taken Glen's towel and helping to dry him off. "You're right, it was much better than moping around the hotel."

"What... what are you talking about Hope?" asked Melody concerned and confused. She looked at her milkshake. "Are you SURE there's nothing unusual in these?"

'How does she know THAT?!?' flashed across Melody's mind with strong embarrassment, and a slight note of panic. "I... never said anything like that," said Melody aloud.

"Wha... pardon?" asked Melody confused. "Do what? And what are you talking about?"

"Yeah. And we'll do our best to avoid those in the future," said Melody, chinking her milkshake glass against Hope's. She leaned back and started watching the sunset. 'If I had Skye talent for summoning objects,' she thought to herself, 'I'd summon a pair of 'BFF' bracelets for Hope and me! Both to say sorry, and 'cause it's true. Though, that might be a little too sappy.'

"That's good. I'd hate to think that I'd scared you off."

"Agreed. Never, ever, ever again! Just... this hasn't put you off practicing magic completely, has it?" Melody asked.
