Skye stared at Tikal, utterly confused. "So, leave it open for now... you don't mind if people watch?" -------- "That sounds easy enough," said Anna, looking at the ring. -------- "Possibly, yeah. Flying isn't my forte," said Ziona.

"You'll need to give us a couple of lessons with those boards and show us how they work first though," said Anna to Sparks. "Wanna have a race Hope?" asked Melody. "It'll give Skye a chance to spend some time with Tikal before we drag him away." "They better. Otherwise they might just have a riot on their hands," said Ziona. She looked at the ring Spark had given her, then to Zamy. "And this kinda crazy is actually pretty tame for this lot..."

"Did someone say 'race'?" asked Melody, her eye's shining. Anna stuck her head out of her bedroom with a similar look.

"I'm sure I've find some other way to make it u..." Skye began saying to Tikal as Spark dropped off the bands. He stared at it. "That... was unexpected. Maybe we should have locked the door?"

(ooc: No worries. I think each of us has done that. Mainly in a fight.) "Uh, what's this thing?" asked Anna, looking at the ring.

(ooc: uh... Sparks. Saying that you do something to a character without giving them a chance to respond is not good form.)

'I kind wish you're wrong,' thought Melody. 'Cause that mean if we DO use it you hurt, and if we don't I do. That'd just be unfair.' ------------------ Anna went back into her room, looking around for something. ------------------ "And to think of all the lives his actions could have saved."

"I... need to use it....? Well, the headache's still slightly there so we could test it," Melody whispered. -------- "Okay. Call us if you have trouble," Anna calls. (occ: Money, er, I dunno. Most of my characters are on Locke's tab!) ------- "I'm not surprised. But I suspect the bosses will still end up punishing him..." said Ziona sadly.

"No idea," replied Anna. "I've only just arrived in this Zone recently too. But I'm sure there must be nearby."

"I know. Maybe it was a build up of anger that I vented by shouting," Melody tried to joke. -------------- Anna shook her head, not sure what to make of the situation. -------------- "Did you hear about Zet's little 'plan' then?" asked Ziona

Hang on a second, going back to 256... But back to the previous topic, they definitely are trying to fill their roster back up. It's got some big gaps to fill now unfortunately.

"Huh. That's unusual," commented Anna dryly.

"Because... Because I'm afraid I may be busy this morning. I'm not sure yet," replied Skye. -------------- "Heh. I think I'm hardly a role-model Glen," laughed Ziona.

"Should we talk to Skye about our... Hey, my headache's almost completely gone," said Melody happily. ---------------- "He's fine, don't worry," replied Anna. "Just relaxing with his girlfriend." --------------- "No. And the recent war hasn't helped either," said Ziona.

(ooc: Welcome back Sparks) Melody's smiled wobbled slightly. "So, uh, what now?" ------ Anna went over to Spark seeing him start to stir. "Hi there. You're back at the hotel," she explained. ------ "I agree," replied Ziona. "But then most of our regulations are crazy. Only interfering in random cases, and even then we tend to get someone from the Prime Zone to do out dirty work for us."

"I can't think of a better one," replied Skye as he hugged back, then tucked a napkin underneath her neck. "Though, I'm afraid this breakfast might also be an apology." ---------- "Tell you what then," said Melody, as she sprinted into her room, then came back with a sheet of paper that she handed to Hope. Written on it was 'I.O.U. 1 anything. Melody.' "Use that when you think of something," she said. ---------- "He didn't go down for longer because the paperwork hadn't been filed," confessed Ziona. "So officially it was a fight between Zone inhabitants, nothing more. And Glen was right, when I arrived the fight was already over. All we could get him on was the trespass charge."

Skye smiled a lay down on the bed next to Tikal. --------- Melody slowly managed to smile. "Thank you Hope. I'm sorry I was such a jerk there. What can I do to make it up to you?" -------- "I'm glad I've never had to deal with one, but you're probably right," Ziona replied to Zamy, then turned to Glen. "The trouble is, I don't think Miles will be able to accept any type of closure. No matter what happens he might just keep trying. But either way, we're in the clear for a few months." ------- Miles sat comfortably in the No-Zone jail infirmary, where his foot was being re-bound. He had slipped into an innocent charm persona, convincing the nurse he was both on the path to redemption, and harmless. Smirking to himself, Miles cast a small stealth spell to stop himself from being noticed, and snuck into the dispensary.

"Hey, I brought you breakfast," said Skye, holding out the tray. ------------- "Busy doesn't begin to describe it. These last few days have been truly hectic. It's like this little group is cursed or something. Let's see, anything else you need to know. Well, we're mainly here to babysit the three kids, and then mostly Skye, as he's the one with the rap sheet. He seems to be genuinely trying to reform, though it might just be his girlfriend keeping him on the straight and narrow. Oh, and we do have one possible issue with Anna. Miles, the one from Moebius who got arrested yesterday. He has something of an obsession with her. He might have gotten over it once he's realised from prison, but..." ------------ "Oh, sorry," exclaimed Melody, letting go, stepping back and staring at her friend with hopeful eyes.

"Tikal? Are you awake?" asked Skye quietly. ------------ Ziona sat down, motioning to Zamy to do the same if she wanted, and took a deep breath. "Let's see. I sent the paperwork in last night, but it might not have been passed to you yet. So.... Crowley, Red and Skye," she began, pointing them, or their rooms, out as she went, "are from the future Moebius, but have been given permanent residence here. So has Melody, but her's also has a resurrection clause. Skye and Melody are the two we're here to observe, given their criminal records, along the the Brotherhood of Guardians. Which has now twisted into the kids being adopted by one of the Guardians." "There is also Anna, formerly the Moebius Mina Mongoose," Anna shuffled her feet nervously when her old name was brought up. "who's suffered a psychological breakdown. Given her new condition, and the enemies she has, she's also been placed under protection. And been adopted as well. Try... not to think too hard about the family tree." She paused, gathering her thoughts, then continued. "There's also Glen and Dylan, who are from that Zone that almost lead to a multi-zone were-hog crisis. They were both instrumental in solving that problem, but made some enemies doing so. Both have a two-month pass for the Prime Zone, and their cases for staying or returning will be reviewed at that time. And then there is Berry and Kayl, the squirrel and Echidna. They are... from a different time Zone I think. I'm not sure, but we'll need to try and resolved there issue. As for him," she said pointing to Spark, "afraid I've no idea." (ooc: Holy frack! And that is missing a helluva lot.) ----------- Melody came rushing out of her room and hugged Hope, tears streaming from her eyes. "Don't go. I'm sorry. I'll do anything. I'll give you my tiara. I'll give up my speed. I'll do anything you want. Just say we're still friends," she begged

"Well, it seemed like I was going to be stationed here for the long term, so I though it would be better to," Ziona replied to Zamy. "And yeah Glen, she's my new partner here. Glen, Zamy. Zamy, Glen. Do you want me to, erm... try and fill you in on the situation here?" "You're friends Hope. She can't have," replied Anna, who seemed distressed about the situation herself. Skye sat down quietly for a second, and used the excess magic he'd gather to summon a fully loaded breakfast tray. He went quietly back into his room. ------------ 'I know, I'm sorry' thought back Melody, though she was still whining. 'I just... I dunno why I lashed out... So much craziness had already happened that morning... The headache, the army, the magic drug, and the Rosy lookalike...'

Well, they seem to be trying to move this adaption in new directions rather than a straight up 'comic of the game' so it might be good.

"Okay, here he is," said Skye, putting Spark carefully on one of the sofa's. He glanced around a gave a sigh of relief. Tikal wasn't up yet. He could still surprise her. Ziona took a moment to recognise the Zone Cop. "Hi there. I don't think we've ever met properly before. It's Zamy, right? Welcome to the nuthouse!" Melody glared back at Hope, blanking out Red. "So why don't you skulk back to GUN where your only friends are computers and machines that go 'beep'," she shrieked, then slammed the door in Hope's and Red's face. Anna and Skye looked horrified at Melody's actions. "I'm... I'm sure she didn't mean that," Anna said walking up to Hope. ----------- Melody rushed over to her bed and collapsed on it. 'How did this happen?' she thought to herself, having forgotten about the link. 'We were best friends. This shouldn't have happened.' Melody began sobbing as she remembered all the fun she and Hop had had over the past few days.

"Most of us weren't up until 5 minutes ago," said Anna to Zamy. "Then there was some kinda attack..." At this point Skye returned to the penthouse. "Could someone have a look at Spark? He took a bad blow," Skye asked the room. -------------- "Like I even asked for it," yelled Melody. "Your 'help' is causing more problems that it solves," she continued spitefully. -------------- "I like that plan," said Ziona, pulling on a dressing gown. "Time to see what all the fuss is about," she said, walking into the main room.

Skye took a deep breath as the last of the army fell in the distance. On one hand, he was exhausted. On the other, after that ritual he still had plenty of magical energy to spare. He walked over to Spark and tried to pick him up. Failing, instead he used his magic to summon a floating platform underneath Spark, and started heading downstairs. ----------- "How should I know?" snapped Melody. "You're the smart one." ----------- "Um, yeah. Let me know if there's something I can do to make it up. And, uh, I dunno about the paperwork. You'd need to ask her. I think that's her room," Anna said, pointing. ----------- Ziona sighed. "You might be right. I guess I should say hello." She gave Glen a quick final kiss.
