"I think I'll get the same," said Melody with a smile. "And my head's fine now. I guess those few sentences cleared it up. Kinda odd though." ------------- "The only other option would be to ask Shadow to donate his rocket skates," laughed Ziona. "And I don't think he'll agree to that. Do you want to make the order to HQ or shall I?" ------------- "Nothing like that. These would be more like manacles, but we would control their movements."
-
"Sorry, it must seem really weird for you. But yes, drinks. What do you want? Oh, and no sign of any more headaches?" ---------- Ziona chuckled slightly. "I suppose it does. As for speedsters, well, the Prime Mina is kinda known to this group, but filling her in on the situations... plus, she has her own job." --------- "It would impair their Chaos and Anarchy powers. But you'd need to do that anyway unless you wanted them teleporting away."
-
Melody shook her head at herself slightly. "I... I know Hope. I was mad at Mother, not Anna. Until just then I'd almost forgotten they were the same person." ----------- "I was thinking sub-dermal trackers linked to our teleportation system," said Ziona. "Though those are only meant to be used in extreme cases. Unless you have a speedster in mind." ----------- "As long as you don't mind some 'unscientific' magic, I've got some methods that have been proven to work on Shadow," replied Miles with a smirk. "Or we could do it the hard way."

(ooc: Have a good time Eliza) "Hold on a sec..." Skye closed his eyes for a second and concentrated, creating a magical illusion of how the inside of the hut would look when done. "There we go. Are we missing anything. Any rooms or furniture or stuff?" he asked Tikal. ------------ "I can't believe she never taught me how to ride a board," said Melody suddenly angry. "Was she scared that'd she'd enjoy herself and that might lead to a mother/daughter bonding moment or something?" ------------ "Is this a good time to mention two of them have super-speed, so running off..." ------------ "Perhaps," said Miles as he walked off, "but this group has had a large influx of people from various Zones."
-
Skye laughed. "I know. But we want to make sure they light up the right area's. Let's see... Lounge, kitchen, study, bedroom, bathroom," Skye muttered as he steeping inside and started pointing around. --------- Melody nodded and starting heading to a nearby stand. "I get the felling Anna was planning to show us up until Spark came along." --------- "I would say you should try to enjoy yourself somewhat while your here. You'll go crazy otherwise. It shouldn't be too hard to do that and keep an eye on our charges. Though, if you want to make things more official, you may need to lay down some ground rules," said Ziona. ----------- "Then clearly you haven't had much experience with magic," commented Miles, turning on his heel and heading to the portal.
-
"But I'm sure they'd be decorative," laughed Skye. He headed into the main opening and picked up the spades that had been left there. "So where are the windows going?"
-
"I knew I was missing something," laughed Skye. ---------- "C'mon. Let's pick up our boards and grab something to drink. My throats a bit dry. I think I might have swallowed half the beach," said Melody. ---------- "I think I can understand that Zamy," replied Ziona. "Still, aside from their father you shouldn't need to interact with many of them." ---------- "That's not what I'm doing," replied Miles hotly. "I'm trying to deprogram her. Someone else has already reprogrammed her."
-
"Good. Guess we both need a bit more practice!" said Melody. --------- "I suppose it does seem rather odd. But I haven't seen the reports myself." -------- "I'm not obsessed," hissed Miles. "And if I was incompetent you wouldn't be standing here now."
-
"Right. Shall I magic up the parts and we fit them into place?" asked Skye ---------- Melody also picked herself up, and hurried over to Hope. "Are you okay?" she asked. ---------- "I'd agree it's a little odd, but are you sure it's that bad?" asked Ziona to Zamy. "And that may be the case Glen, but do you really want to spy on a 12 year old boy and his girlfriend?" --------- Miles gave a cry of pain as the needle went in. He spun away but to late. "You crazy... Didn't I tell you...." Miles clutched the back of his neck. "Okay. I'll do what you want."
-
"So, windows, doors and walls then?" asked Skye. ------------ "Poor kid," said Ziona, shaking her head.
-
Melody gave a little laugh as Hope feel, only to fly smack into Sparks tornado and fall off herself. Anna dodged the tornado and kept going. ----------- "I wish I knew," sighed Ziona. ---------- Miles paused. "If I didn't need your help I won't let you use that tone," he growled under his breath.
-
"So... how do we want to do this?" asked Skye. --------- "I'm still gonna beat you though!" said Melody as she drew alongside Hope. --------- "Maybe he has," said Ziona, trying to hide a slightly guilty look. "But then there are those crazy Echidna's with camera's all over the place. So it's unlikely he's somewhere completely unobserved." --------- Miles nodded. "But I'll need to fix the portal and get it working first," he said, heading off to the portal room to begin work.
-
"Well, here we are. At least the digging we did is still around," said Skye. ------------ "I was joking Hope," called Melody. ------------ "Two of them are racing on the beach. You could watch them from the balcony," said Ziona. "And Skye and his girlfriend have gone off for some private time." ------------ "I've got access to the portal tech," said Miles. "It should be simple enough to get the system up and running if we have the parts. In fact, we might be able to use it to 'scoop' our targets up."
-
"As soon as we have space for them, we'll go book shopping," said Skye. ------------ "No problem," called back Anna. "I'm gonna kill you for this Sis," yelled Melody, ------------ "Yeah, but she still bring it up if she wants a free round of drinks," Ziona said to Glen. "Good to hear Zamy. So what do you want to do now you're here?" ------------- Miles started searching through the computers database.
-
"Yes we will. I can't wait until you see your first bookshop," said Skye with a smile. --------- "Careful. Try to move with the currents, not against them," called Anna. "Hey! Not fair. Stop giving her advice," called Melody as she started to catch up. -------- "Yeah. I still feel guilty for killing her chance." Ziona looked up as Zamy returned. "All settled in?" she asked. ------- "They should be out for a few hours," said Miles as he started to head over the activated computer. "Let's see if I can find some info on these portals."
-
Skye laughed. "It's more a study than a library, but we will need a lot of books to fill it." ------------ Melody started to catch up with the group. Anna glanced back at Hope. "You're doing really well for a beginner," she called. ----------- "Well, yeah. But It did mean me AND Zave were kicked out. She wouldn't speak to me for days." ---------- "So are you wanting to do anything with the unconscious guys upstairs or do we just dispose of them?" called Miles as he walked down and into the room.
-
Skye smiled as they walked. "I was thinking, once we finish the book we're reading, you should choose the next." ---------------- Melody wobbled and almost lost her balance, dropping to the back of the pack. Anna dodged round her and kept going! ---------------- "Yeah, and, I, uh... end up slapping her...." said Ziona guiltily ---------------- Miles began making his way back down. "I wonder if Robotnik will want to do anything with them?" he wondered to himself.
-
"We won't," called Skye. ---------- Melody pushed forward, trying to reach the front of the pack, but this seriously threatened her balance. Anna followed behind her, still showing no sign of having difficultly. ---------- "Uh, not quite. We went for tryouts at the Academy, but the girl in charge was something of a $!£@#." ---------- Miles carefully went through the upper levels, taking out the inhabitants one by one.
-
Skye waved to everyone in the main room as he walked through. "Bye everyone. Give me a buzz on my radio if the girls are looking for me." -------------- Melody shot off, wobbling and trying to keep he balance. Anna followed behind, having seemingly no problems. -------------- "Well, uh... back a bit Zave wanted to try out. And I did to cause, uh, Zave..." -------------- Miles nodded and snuck back up the stairs.
-
Skye put the model away. "Great. Shall we head off?" he asked, holding the bedroom door open. ------------ Anna nodded to show she was ready. "Okay. 3... 2... 1... GO!" Melody called. ------------ "No No No! Bad memories," Ziona insisted. ------------ "If we got rid of the squatters, this might be a better base," said Miles, seeing of one of the computers had power. To his surprised, it booted up.
-
Skye sat down on the bed. He pulled out the model of the hut, and began studying it. "Let's see, I'll need to get a chimney set up for the fireplace... And books. We're gonna need lots of books for the bookcase." --------------- Melody also remounted her board, concentrating hard to avoid even wobbling. "Ready?" --------------- "No, certainly not," replied Ziona a little embarrassed. ---------------- Miles followed Hope down the stairs. He looked around. "This place is in surprisingly good condition all things considered."
-
Melody glanced between Hope and Sparks. "Only if you can keep up!" Behind them, Anna summoned her board, giving a small jump upwards as it appeared in order to land on it properly. ------------- "Should make getting where we need to go easy. Keep an eye out for stairs down or an old elevator shaft," said Miles
-
Tikal didn't need to wait long until Skye disappeared, cleaned up and completely dry. "Your turn if you want," he said. ---------- The grin vanished from Melody's face. "If that's how you want to play it," she said, stepping back onto her board. ---------- Ziona raised an eyebrow at Glen. "I think you got the wrong end of the stick there." ---------- Miles nodded, and in a quick motion lept through the gap and smashed the guard unconscious with a blow from his tail. Looking around, Miles could tell they seemed to be alone now. He motioned Hope forward, looking at the guard. "I don't think they're professions. Just glorified squatters who've moved in."
-
"I will, but it still shouldn't be long," said Skye, giving Tikal a little wave as he headed into the bathroom. ------------- "Oh, I think that's a challenge!" grinned Melody. ------------- "As long as you don't insist I wear a cheerleader outfit..." joked Ziona. ------------- They reached the gap, and made a motion for Hope to stop. He'd caught sighed of the muzzle of a gun on the other side of the gap. Not pointing at them, more as if the guard was leaning against the wall next to the gap.
-
Skye smiled. "Okay. I'm just gonna have a quick shower first," he said as he slid out of bed. ------------ This time Ziona hugged Glen from behind. "Don't be so remorseful."
