"Well, uh, I was, uh, thinking me," confessed Anna. "Swap my Chaos powers for another one. But I suppose it could work with someone else."

"And yet, it still does," said Skye with a shiver. --------------- "I... I think I understand Dad. But it's only fair I try, at least to show Shadow I'm sorry for what I did. But my idea... Skye said the power gaining ritual requires a sacrifice right... Well, what if I 'sacrificed' my chaos abilities?"

(ooc: Sparks has superspeed and we're just outside the hotel. Not an issue here!) Skye nodded, still facing the beach. -------------- "Of course we're fine," said Anna to Sparks. "If we weren't I wouldn't be here. I'm just a tag along too." She turned to Locke. "I'm... I'm sure it'll be fine Dad... If I could... I... I might have an idea...."

"All the effort you're putting in here. It's a bit more than just saying 'it's fine'!"

Anna started a bit. "Thank's Spark. You really don't have to do all this stuff you know."

(ooc: I like complicated! :P And Locke, oh dear. Given Miles and Hope are almost ready to strike, this might be the last trip for a while.) "I know. We're nothing alike. I'm a good person. There is nothing good in him," ststed Skye. -------------- "Wha... What do you mean Dad?" asked Anna.

"Don't compare me to my Father," said Skye in a quiet monotone. "Don't ever." ---------- "But I am enjoying it now. I just wanted more time to do so," replied Melody. "No! I can't ask you to do that," replied Anna to Spark, then she heard Locke. "I.. uh... I'm considering having my Chaos Powers removed Dad," she explained. (ooc: To summarise. Removing Anna's Chaos Powers might remove her speed. The spell to grant powers (which was used to originally gain her speed) will 1) Grant a random power, so wouldn't necessary restore her speed if lost 2) May have side effects 3) Requires some from a sacrifice be made by the caster or the recipient of the spell )

"How can you pity him?" hissed Skye. ---------- "Yeah," Melody sighed slightly. "I wish all this could've happened years ago. I'd have more time to enjoy it then." --------- "For the ritual to gain new powers, yes," replied Anna. "At least, that's what I understood."

"Father, what did you expect? And I HATE it when people try and put a positive spin on anything he does." ------------ "Oh yeah, that seems like months ago now," laughed Melody. "But that was only a few days ago. I hardly even knew Hope at that point."

"Yeah. I'm fine," muttered Skye. ------------- "Huh? It's just a visit, so Hope can show me round where she lives. Why would that make me like Skye?" asked Meldoy

"Yeah Glen?" asked Skye, looking out over the beach. "I'm not sure how those records would even help," said Anna "Ah yeah, that attack was rather unexpected. Well Dad, Me, Hope, Anna, Crowley and Zamy are gonna visit the UF for the day," explained Melody.

Skye glanced behind him as Glen approached, but didn't turn or say anything. Melody looked up at Locke's approach. "Hi Dad. I was looking for you earlier."

"I think it was obviously more than a crush when he went to such lengths to... rescue me," she replied said. Skye stood up and walked away from the table, not letting anyone see his face. (ooc: A shame all the prison records have been wiped...)

"Reflecting?" asked Anna, slightly confused.

"How? How would it help?" asked Skye, slightly confused. "Well he... he used to talk, only to me though, about... we'll... I used to think all families were evil... but he told me stories about his parents... before they disappeared. But since then..." said Anna slowly.

"Uh, not that I... not that I noticed. But then, uh, I was rather distracted." Anna stopped to think. "Though... there were certain things he used to talk about, that he didn't since then. I didn't think about it until now..."

"Uh, when I got Shadow's powers? There was Me, Miles and Shadow. And that robot the popped up later." "The power copying ritual doesn't require a sacrifice," said Skye. "Just the one to grant new powers. The once where you got your speed." "That one? Well, then it was just me and Miles..." said Anna

(ooc: Sorry, I wanted to create a little dilemma here! ;) You know me!) "Well, I was hoping to keep my new colours Glen," said Anna while Ziona blushed very slightly. "But yeah Skye, can't you just give them back to me?" Skye shook his head. "The ritual... it's risky and unpredictable. Think about it. A ritual to grant powers. If it was safe, wouldn't it be used everywhere?" "W-wait... There was risks? It was dangerous!" exclaimed Anna, shocked. "It's a difficult ritual. There are often side-effect. And the results are... random. If you did it again, there's no guarantee you would get speed again. In fact, right now I'd expect you'd get a power like invisibility or something given your personality. And... you can't gain power for nothing. The ritual requires some kinda sacrifice. Giving something up." "But... but I didn't give anything up," said Anna. "It could have been some of your memories, which is why you don't remember. Or..." Skye pondered for a bit, "maybe Miles gave something up."

Anna gave a small nod. Skye sat down next to his sister. "Uh, what's this about giving up powers?" he asked. "I thought.... I thought you might be able to get rid of the Chaos Powers I stole from Shadow," explained Anna. "Uh, Anna. Any spell to remove those powers might remove your speed as well." "What? That can't... W-wait... If that does happen can't you use the same ritual that gave Anna her speed and have it work again?" asked Melody.

"It's not a question of challenge Glen. It's a question of whats.... right... "

"That's good," replied Skye with a smile. "I was worried about you two." Anna started sharking again. "Mina was the one who stopped Nega," she replied, staring downwards. "Is everyone ready to go?" called Melody happily as she returned, then she saw Anna's upset look. "Anna? Something wrong," she asked, kneeling down next to her.

"Saved countless lives?" asked Anna. "I've never done that. I've only put lives in danger, deliberately or accidentally. And it wouldn't be fair if I clung onto something I stole."

"So, uh, have you and her patched things up again?" Skye asked Hope, rubbing the back of his neck somewhat awkwardly. ------------------ Melody arrived back at the hotel. "Crowley? Are you ready to go? The others are by the little cafe at the beach." ------------------ "I know that such spells exist, but I need to make sure that even the potential to use chaos energy is gone, not just the energy itself," Anna replied. She glanced towards Glen. "And Glen does have a point." ------------------ In the ruined bunker, Miles was setting up cabled to allow for a direct feed of power from tone of the generators to the portal. If necessary, the other generators could act as backup.

Anna laughed. "Shadow still has his powers. I just copied them. I dunno why everyone seems to think otherwise! And I still need to check with Skye. I don't even know if it can be done. I suspect it can but, well..."
