"They... They s-should have t-tried to stop m-me," argued Skye. "They s-should have l-let me d-do what I-I-I needed to do." -------------- "I hope you're right Glen. Otherwise this assignment is gonna end really badly." She opened her radio again. "Zamy, hang tight, I'm on my way," said Ziona as she activated her own teleporter.
-
"Not you as well," shouted Skye. "I don't want to hurt my whole family." Skye took to the air, not even needing his tails to fly. Melody lay on the ground, squirming in pain. ----------- "Can't do that Glen. I have to do my job. And if we find out where that power is coming from we could stop it. The only time his case file said he was close to that level was when..." Ziona's words trailed off. She opened her radio. "Zamy. Where are you? One of us need to head back to the lab and see if any other portals were activated during our attack."
-
"M-mom..." Skye stammered. He shook his head. "No. I warned you. I told you to leave me alone. You shouldn't have gotten involved." Anna ran to Red's side as fast as she could. "Wake up Mom. Please wake up. I don't want to loose you. I can't..." Skye suddenly found himself blindside by as blow to the head as Melody slammed into him, but he seemed unfazed, just surprised. "You piece of $!%&! How could you do that to Mom," she yelled at him, before charging again. Skye made a quick motion like a backhand, and Melody was flung backwards again, this time with a gash across her chest. "I'm not sure my pride will," said Ziona as she stood up. "I don't understand, where's his power coming from?" ----------- Miles screamed as the plunger was pushed, a burning sensation flooding his body. On top of everything else it was more than he could stand, and Miles blacked out.
-
Anna screamed as she was flung back, but also avoided the trees. Ziona almost collided with them, but was able to twist and push of, turning what could have been a bone crushing impact into just an undignified landing. Melody wasn't quite as lucky, although she avoided a direct hit, her left side scraped hard against a tree, covering her with small cuts and lacerations. She glared at her brother. "Looks like I'm gonna need to beat some sense into you," she said angrily, getting ready to charge at Skye. -------------- Miles eye widened with fear as Hope emerged. "No. You couldn't get out..." he said feebly. He tried to get up to run, but his legs gave way, a combination of exhaustion, several days without food and sleep, and the detrimental effects of the portal teleportation. He turned on the ground to face Hope, trying to place a magical barrier between the two of them, but even his magic was weaker.
-
"She's trapped in a large rock box. I doubt she can get out of that," Ziona replied to Glen. "This doesn't concern any. Of. YOU!" screamed Skye. A massive pulse of magical energy erupted from him, slamming into everyone in an attempt to throw them away. When it faded, Skye was shrouded in misty black and red energy. ------------ Miles glanced back to see his pursuers. "How did they... Darn it, they must have activated the tracking program," he muttered to himself. There was only one thing for it, return to the lab, erase the tracking system, and get out again. Where, it didn't matter. Just away. "I've already lost enough. Can't you leave me alone?" Miles cried back as he activated his teleporter. As he was running, when he arrived back in the lad he stumbled and fell flat on his face. Miles shook slightly, feeling queasy. "I guess those portals have side effects with prolonged use," he said to himself.
-
"N-no! I w-won't end up like him. If I kill him he won't be around to make me like h-him!" said Skye, somewhat incoherently. He spun round as everyone teleported nearby. "NO! No, no NO! You won't stop me!" he exclaimed. --------- Miles kept on running through the trees. If he was lucky, Skye would keep everyone so distracted he could get away safely.
-
"I can't," replied Skye, the dark energies surrounding almost his whole body at this point.
-
"I don't want to hurt you M-mom," said Skye. "But I will if you make me." ----------- "Darn it," exclaimed Ziona. "If it is Skye we need to get there now Zamy. Can you tell exactly where they teleported to on Moebius?
-
"Two? Who else would have gone?" asked Ziona. ------------ "Now let me do this," said Skye, his voice bristling with rage, and a hint of the insanity that had been present when Locke first met him. The energy that had been gathering round his hands was spreading, and turning a dark colour. Behind him, Miles made it to his feet and began trying to run through the woods and get away.
-
"I've known you for less than a week," Skye retorted. "And even if I shouldn't exist, I will make sure no one else will suffer at his hands like I did." Magical energy was starting to gather around Skye's hands, though unintentionally.
-
(ooc: Well, um, to answer Red's question... Yeah, he has. Or rather is currently. So I'm really sorry about this.) "Let go of me," hissed Skye darkly. "You didn't bring me up. He did."
-
"No," Skye responded simple before turning back to Miles, who was now pushing himself to his hands and knees. With a gesture a flaming sword appeared in his hand. "You might be denying me my sport by not fighting, but that's not going to delay your suffering." ------------ "And what about the girl in the stone box," asked Ziona, jabbing her thumb at the pillar covered Hope.
-
"If your right, that's still a very wide area to cover. And if he did steal a Zone Cop teleporter, we could track it. If we can contact base. Any luck Zamy?" asked Ziona -------------- Skye threw Miles to the ground. He just lay there, not even bother to stand. "Fight back won't you!" yelled Skye. "FIGHT BACK!"
-
"Aww, don't let one bad experience put you off!" said Melody. ------------- "Don't worry Glen, no need to panic," said Ziona more kindly. ------------- "I'm not going back to Zone jail," whispered Miles. He looked up at Anna who was still glowering at him. Seeing that seemed to make up his mind. "Goodbye Anna," Miles said, hitting a button hidden on his belt. There was a flash of light and Miles disappeared. ------------- "I'm fine," Skye replied, in a far to tense voice. Then a beeping started emanating from his wrist computer. A horrible smile crossed his face. "Now I have you," he hissed. Pressing a button on the computer, Skye also vanished in a flash of light. ------------- Miles slowly got back to his feet and looked around. "Moebius. Not the most idea place to head back to. But at least the Zone Cops can't track those portals and find me here. Now I just need to..." Miles words were cut off in a shriek of pain as a blast of magic slammed into his back, knocking him off his feet. A shadowed pass over him and Skye stepped above him. "I'm going to end this," Skye hissed, aiming a kick at Miles stomach. He reeled from the blow, but before he could recover Skye had grabbed him by the throat and pinning him against a tree, his tails spinning to keep Miles held. "I'm going to pay you back a hundred fold for all the suffering you caused me," said Skye. "And then I'm going to kill you in the most excruciating manner I can."
-
'Sorry, I got kinda carried away there!' though Melody. -------------- Anna slapped Miles hard on the face. "How could you?" she shouted at him. Miles visibly crumpled.
-
'Considering you could have broken your neck, it wasn't that bad,' thought back Melody, grinning. -------------- Anna looked at Miles questioningly, who shrink back slightly. "I..I.."
-
"I knew it wasn't that bad!" said Melody happily as she hugged Hope. ----------- "But.. but it didn't happen, did it?" said Anna as Miles cowered in fear.
-
"Shadow, no. He didn't mean to," begged Anna. "I don't think anything's broken," said Melody. "It's gonna be a bad bruise though." 'C'mon Hope, wake up!' she thought.
-
Skye slowly turned his head to face Red. "Yes?" ----------- "Gah, careful Glen," said Ziona as she picked herself up from the ground. "No need to push me around like that."
-
Melody also ran to Hope side. She took a careful look at where the pillar had smashed into Hope. ----------- "Miles! What did you do," exclaimed Anna, smacking Miles across the back of the head. "I.. I didn't mean to," said Miles. Distracted, the en-caging spell slowed.
-
As Spark wasn't replying, Skye shut his eyes and begun concentrating on something. So much so he didn't hear Red. The lights began spilling out of the portal around him. ------------ "What... what the hell was that?" asked Melody, looking at Hope in shock. ---------- "Now I've got you!" hissed Miles. He placed both hands on the ground, and pillars of stone and metal begun surrounding Hope R and her bubble.
-
"Me neither," muttered Melody.
-
"It wasn't me who released you," said Melody. ---------- "So you want to stay," Miles asked. "It's not because of who you are now. It's where you are now?" Anna nodded in reply. ------------ "Hmph, that's just Glen. He's borderline unstable.. There's more important things to worry about," said Skye.
-
That was fun. Just had a power cut. Hopefully that'll be the only one!
-
"You don't need to protect me. And this is something I need to do alone," said Skye, glowering at Spark. (ooc: A word of warning Spark, Skye may be a little unstable right now. I hope you're ready to dodge!)
