Anna picked up Miles book and photo and put them into his hands, "...I don't think they would have wanted you to have the life you're currently living," she continued, indicating towards the photo. She turned to Zouge. "Will we be able to keep in touch? Even via letters?" asked Anna as Miles cradled the photo gently.

"Aww, shame I though I had a neat shortcut there. Though living in a wilderness might be difficult when there's cities all over the place now!" added Melody. --------- Ziona cocked a concerned eyebrow at Glen but said nothing. --------- "I don't.. mind if it's hard. I... do kinda like a challenge..." said Miles

"But it's gotta be better than the alternative," said Miles, slightly less hesitantly. "Change isn't a bad thing Miles. I know," said Anna.

"Welllll... I didn't kinda spend my life until a week ago just training without real parental support! Does that count?" asked Melody grinning. ---------- "I'll make it up to you later," whispered Ziona.

"Thank's.... So... Does this mean you approve of me being a Guardian now?" asked Melody hopefully. ----------- Ziona gave Glen a very quick peck on the cheek. "Now, before she sees us..." Ziona whispered as she took a step away.

"I think she'd like that," replied Skye. "Melody likes playing with transformations."

Skye let the flames die and returned to his normal form. "That was fun. And if he's gonna bring up backup next time, we'll make sure to do so too.... I wonder if Melody joined u s in the dream would she be able to run?" Skye pondered. ------------ "Okay Daddy. I'll try to," replied Melody. (ooc: Punching the super out of Sonic. That's certainly a Crowning Moment of Awesome that wouldn't me matched until Unleashed.) ----------- "Then he's more time to get it right," said Ziona. ---------- Miles looked at Anna who had a pleading expression on his face. "I think... I think I'm willing to change.... I'm not sure I want to... but maybe I'm just... scared."

"I... I don't want to change," said Miles. "But if it's the only way to avoid being locked up for life..."

"Certain kinds?" asked Miles guardedly. Anna smiled at Zamy's nod and turned to Miles. "The rest of us are in those programs Miles, and we've done worse... okay, maybe not Melody... so there is a chance... if you do want to change." "I.........."

Melody gave a little start when Locke mentioned her hope to be a Guardian for the first time since she'd brought it up. She decided not to make a joke about Knuckles given the circumstances. "I.... I suppose it might happen. Me, Skye, Anna... It's just, he also seemed more... forgone than the rest of us..." (ooc: Yay! Continuity!) ------------ "Maybe he can find something... or someone else..." said Ziona. "As long as that something isn't a path right back to his old life." ------------ "The Cop Zamy... she did say something about... rehabilitation..." said Miles slowly. "She did?" asked Anna, looking at the Cop questionably.

"You okay?" Ziona asked Glen quietly. --------- "Know.. him... again...?" Melody sounded doubtful. (ooc: Yay double standards! :P )

"Oh..." replied Anna, hoping she hadn't raised Miles hopes to much if there was a chance of them being dashed. "What else can I think about? I've nothing to look forward to," said Miles

"With everything else he's lost, surely he can keep his magic?" Anna asked the two cops outside. "None of this was meant to happen," breathed Miles.

Miles started sobbing again. "If they let you keep your magic, maybe you could learn to fly using that?" Anna suggested.

"But I don't want to be 'most people'. And flying's been a part of me almost as long as I can remember," replied Miles

"It wouldn't make a difference of they did," said Miles sadly. "I can't move it like I used to. I still wouldn't be able to fly."

Skye flew into the air and attempted to throw Layose back down to hit the ground with as much force as he could muster. ------------ "My sister is crazy," commented Melody, "But then she wouldn't be my sister if she wasn't. And besides, I haven't seen Miles since... y'know..." ----------- "Now might not be the time Red," whispered Anna.

"Ahhh, just as long as they aren't distracting each other so much that Dylan's pancakes end up burnt. But what about Anna?" ------------ "I'm trapped in a cell. I'm missing a tail. And my magic is being drained away. That's what's happening right now," said Miles. "Uh, Miles. They took the necklace away, so you still have your magic," said Anna, then her head snapped up as Red appeared. "I wondered where you'd disappeared off to. And I'm nit sure about the suit. I think it makes you look too formal!"

"She's right. I'm still here, even if I'm not... y'know..." said Anna "But you won't be. They're gonna take me away. I won't see you again," said Miles, starting to sob.

"Neat! And I guess this ain't the time for subtly," said Skye as he summoned up the image of a dragon in his mind. ------------- "I'm not sure that's possible Dad. And could someone find out what's happened to Skye and Anna? They should have been back ages ago!" said Melody, he voice shaking slightly with worry. ------------- "I... don't think anyone can help," said Miles looking at the floor. "I've lost everything." Anna tried to give him another reassuring hug.

"If he is gone, where's Anna?" asked Melody. --------- "M-me?" asked Miles, holding tightly onto his tail and Anna at the same time.

"Just as long as it doesn't burn me!" said Skye as he grabbed the flame. (ooc: No worries Spark. We all make mistakes, especially to begin with. And it is kinda what RPM is here for!)

"I don't like people grabbing my tails," growled Skye angrily. "How about we give him a distraction?" Skye shut his eyes and began concentrating. The stones of the castle began to gather together and reformed into a massive golem that advanced on Layose. (ooc: Note: Not that it matters right now, but you technically took control of my character there Spark. You should have said something like 'Layose tried to grab Skye by the tails and throw him into a wall', and in my post I would say whether the attack succeeded or not.) ------- "That's what makes this confusing," muttered Melody. ------- "That's good. She can't hurt anyone else," said Miles quietly.

"And they'll... they'll make sure she can't get out again?" asked Miles. He looked behind him and took ahold of his remaining tail, as if worried that if he let go it would also fall off.
