Berry is being held by the authorities, Lucian is hiding in this house. Eliza, please correct me if I'm wrong.)

"But how do you manage to live within the constraints of the program Skye?" asked Miles. "I... wait, so all this is about you wanting advice for rehabilitation?" Miles paused. "Yes." ------------ "Yeah, there hasn't been many opportunities these past few days. That and Dad kinda banned me, Anna and Skye from pranking, so..." ------------ "Okay Daddy. We'll see what it looks like when it's all set up," said Anna.

Skye looked at the downcast Miles, feeling conflicted. A small part of him was begining to feel sorry for him, which was a severely alien feeling with Miles. "You know that going into a program won't get you what you want," pointed out Skye. "I know. But it might give me something I've missed..." Miles admitted. Skye cocked his head, looking slightly confused. "I would ask if someone has been messing with your head but...." began Skye. Miles looked up with an almost amused expression. "But that was the same conclusion I came up with for Anna?" "Welllllll....." ----------- "Black, Mom! Skye's the crimson one. But I should have a quirky personality to go with my quirky colours!" said Melody. ----------- "I don't think so," said Anna thoughtfully. "Maybe a nice bedside lamp, but I think that's it. Unless you have any suggestions?" ----------- "Agreed."

Looking at what you've got going with classes here. On the one hand, lots of classes would be hard to balance with each other, but on the other, the more classes mean more variety. I do notice however, you don't have a 'support' style class yet, that deals with buffing/healing other units. One thing I might suggest, is have everyone be a fusion class. Everyone gets a primary class based on what they are: (Sonic: Speed, Tails: Flight, Knuckles: Power, Quick Man: Robot... erm, not sure off the top of my head for a Fighter example.) which determines their basic combat style, then a sub-class which determines their skill set. So, say, Sonic might be a Speed/Speed, while Quick-man is Robot/Power. Though you may want to give sub-classes different names.

On reflection, that snippet of what to expect from the story isn't that surprising. It's actually very similar to his 25 Years Later arc. Lots of people standing around talking, taking as long as they can to get the the point without really explaining anything about what's going on. And even that had disruption of characters in it (Sonic/Tails not speaking etc), admittedly not species alterations but still, the hallmark is there. The following 25 Years Later story may have de-railed Shadow, but at least stuff happened and it moved at a good pace.

"Wait... that's not something I want to admit." --------- "In a way Daddy, yeah," smiled Anna. -------- Ziona smiled that, though unintentionally, she managed to relax Kayl somewhat. "We'll wait right here for you to return Spark," she said.

"You were still threatening to take away my breakfast! That's scary enough," said Melody ---------- Anna burst into giggles. ---------- "Do you have something against short people?" asked Ziona to Glen in a joking tone. She turned back to Spark with a more serious tone. "I can take the radio in the meantime while you scout, if Kayl is happy with the idea."

"Thanks Mom, but, I'm not sure if it's important or not, but as your my Mom you should know, well, I only like bacon in the mornings. I can't really stand it if I'm fully awake." ------------- "Okay, he's erm... powered by a hamster wheel under his robes?" guessed Anna ------------ "You sounding as if I'm an 8 year old kid again!" laughed Ziona

Skye slumped to the floor of the cell. "But... I'm sorry for what I did. I want to atone for it," said Skye. He looked at Miles harshly. "And that's something you'd never do." "Are you absolutely certain of that Skye?" asked Miles, looking at his family photo. ------------- "Well, uh, no. But I was scared you could be," said Melody. ------------- Anna giggled. "I thought he was just a floating head." ------------- "Hey, I got it right in the end, didn't I?"

Miles looked up at Skye. "I suppose you'll consider my reasons selfish," he began. "I would have been amazed if they weren't," Skye replied dryly. "But how does probing MY feelings help YOU?" "Because I wanted to understand you, to find out how similar we actually are. And find out how you manage to fit into this rehabilitation program," Miles explained. "Why would you be interested in... YOU'RE BEING PLACED IN THE PROGRAM? WHAT THE @&%$?!?!" ------------ "But-but-but.... I can't smile if you threaten me with THAT!" stammered Melody. ------------ "That's efficient. I better get some old clothes for painting... oh, wait... I, er.. Don't have any old clothes." ----------- "Hmm, but we could use the teleporter to get out. Hmm, Spark, you had some kind of liquid form. Is it hard to see? If it is, you could scout out the house, give us the layout and the guard positions, then we sneak in, grab the gem and Lucy... Lucky... Loopy... Lucian! Then we teleport away."

"Noooo, but you DO have a teleporter. Do we have an interior map of this house?"
