*turns sharply to face Locke* So y-you ARE in league w-with this place!
-
"My pleasure," said Skye as he picked up the necklace. "Hold still while I put it on you, and we'll see how it looks." ------------- At Zamy's threat Melody turned to look at her father. As she turned her head there was a glint of something metallic attached to the back of her neck. "Do you want me to kill them Father?" she asked in the same blank voice. "No," said Miles, "I think I may need to use them to get history back on track." ------------ As the flames appeared, Anna gave a little shriek and fell off Locke's shoulders, landing painfully on the ice. "Why can't me and Daddy just have some time together?" she sobbed. ------------- "Thank you all," said Ziona in reply to the comments on her eye-wear. "I needed some way to tell these two apart." She turned to Berry. "I thought the plan was that you would go with Limp so you would be banished and he wouldn't be executed." Ziona then glanced at Dylan. "Everything alright? You seem concerned about something."
-
But y-you have t-to make the most of right n-now. Friends c-come and go.
-
"You don't need to say anything Angel," replied Skye. -------------- Anna gave a sidelong glance at Locke. -------------- A few moments later Ziona reappeared, now holding two blue gems, and wearing a hi-tech eyepiece. "Here we go, all sorted. Are you sure you want to go through with this plan?" she asked.
-
*looks uncertain, then hugs Fluffy* I'm s-sure you'll be able t-to make new friends w-when you get h-home.

Miles laughed. "Skye lacks the spine to even try and face me. And even if he did I'd remind him of his proper place in a heartbeat. But if he has found someway to survive the paradoxes..." Miles turned his gave to his younger self, who shrunk away from it. "I suppose that explains you. I certainly can't remember myself ever being that pathetic, squirming on the ground like a bird with a broken wing."
-
"It wasn't abuse, it was discipline," replied the adult Miles, while Melody, showing a hint of emotion for the first time, flinched. "And you can't just leave him in this time. One wrong move and all of his history could be changed."
-
"I think my son's condition IS my business," replied Miles angrily. "I miss my brother. I want to see him," said Melody in a cold monotone.
-
As Zamy gripped her baton Melody's hand rushed towards her knife. Miles looked surprised but amused. "I would have thought a Zone Cop would have wanted someone to be returned to their home Zone and Time." The younger Miles was rubbing his ribs where his older self had kicked him. "How could I be so cruel to myself," he wondered allowed. "Everyone else is just a resource to be used. And right now you're grouped with them," said the older Miles.
-
"Hmph, we're merely here to recover my son. I thought it would faster bring him to us than the other way around. I wasn't expecting another fox from Moebius to get in the way," said the older Miles, kicking his younger self in the ribs as he did so, causing the younger fox to whimper.
-
"What are you even doing here?" the older Miles asked disdainfully as he ran a critical eye over his younger self. "And what... Why are you missing a tail?" he added, a slight note of confusion to his voice. Melody crossed her arms. "I suppose changes in the timeline were worse than you suspected Father," she said. "I would have expected that runt to have enough sense to keep his head down for the sake of his existence," said the older Miles angry. He looked around and spotted Zamy. "A Zone Cop? Maybe you can provide some answers. What's going on here?" he demanded.
-
The light faded and Miles dropped painfully to the ground. It wasn't the cell floor, but rocks. "That's not my brother," he heard a cold female voice say. "I wasn't expecting another Moebian fox here, least of all me," said a male voice. Miles looked up and caught his breath. Standing above him was an adult version of himself, and a slightly older looking Melody. Both had metal armbands around their upper forearms. (ooc: I wasn't just gonna let this loose plotpoint go unresolved.)
-
"Sounds as if you don't think you'll be stationed here for long," said Miles. His ear's pricked up as a whining sound began emanating from the cell. Turning, Miles saw an expanding blinding light filling the cell. "Hey, what the..?" he started to exclaim as the light began to swallow him up.
-
We a-are, b-but that's w-why she doesn't want to l-leave.
-
"I'm sorry to hear that," replied Miles.
-
Miles pondered for a moment before asking Zamy to move one of his pawns. "Do you play often?" he asked.
-
"Black. I prefer other to make the first move," said Miles.
-
"Rather than dwelling on that kinda thing, shall we play?" asked Miles, pointing towards the board.
-
Miles shuddered. "That would make a mess of things."
-
"The way Zone's work I guess," pondered Miles.
-
"Huh? What's going on?"
-
"In this Zone maybe," said Miles. "That trait is a bit more rare on Moebius."
-
I... I am...? I f-find that h-hard to b-believe. You're s-such a nice g-girl.
-
"That is very impressive. Almost too impressive," pondered Miles. ------------- Ziona teleported away, leaving everyone else behind for the moment.

Why would i-it be l-lonely? Even i-if we're from different t-times, don't y-you have other f-friends back t-there? (occ: A 'happy medium' is when a good solution if found between two extremes. In this case, making Fluffy 6, as opposed to 4 or 8.
