Okay t-then. *starts concentrating* (ooc: Uh, I'll see if I can think of something. But I'm still open to suggestions)
-
What if w-we imagine a m-machine that d-does all the w-work and t-tests lots of t-things? (ooc: I dunno. I'm open to brainstorming idea. I was meant to be just metaphorical, but as you a Seviper took it literally, well, now it's a thing.)
-
I d-dunno. I'm not a d-doctor.
-
"Uh, Locke knows about the circle. The rest of the stuff, well, uh, it just kinda drifted down here..." -------------- "Oh yeah.... I didn't... er...."
-
Uh, o-okay... What do we n-need? (ooc: It's not a plot unless there are some kinda consequences. To use the above example, had it been Dark Gaia, it wouldn't have been a plot unless somehow Gaia began attacking)
-
H-huh. Maybe w-we can find s-some. After a-all that TV c-came from n-nowhere. (ooc: Not unless it was a very little, weak trace. But as you mentioned titan tails, well you put me off that idea for good)
-
"Pretty much sums them up," said Skye. "Here we are," he continued as the entered the basement. The ritual circle dominated the center of the room while lab tables and hi tech equipment surrounded the walls. ------------ "I'm not sure threatening me will work. Maybe you could threaten Skye and Melody with that exercise regime?" suggested Miles
-
"Yep. Melody fell into it on her first day here. Same night we dealt with the were-hogs on your world," said Skye.
-
Y-yeah. Wish I k-knew why. Do w-we have any e-equipment to do test's with? (ooc: Actually, given that Day/Night change I mentioned, dark gaia is the first thing that springs to mind! :P )
-
"I'm not sure you'll get a sensible answer. Kinda like how they have a swimming pool in the library," said Skye. -------- "But you do want her to... pay a bit more attention?" asked Miles.
-
Well, uh... There is o-one change that a-always happens. See, r-right now I'm y-yellow. At night, e-even if I'm in a b-bright room, I t-turn orange. (ooc: Yeah, that is a colour inconstancy in 30 Years Later. Like how Melody's eyes change colour after part one! :P )
-
"I wonder why they have all this empty, unused space?" pondered Skye.
-
*Skye shook he head* N-no. At least, I d-don't think so. It h-happens w-when I r-react to c-certain things.
-
"Quite a few," said Skye. "And each basement is subdivided as well. I'm just glad I got a nice big one." -------------- "Though, even if she was with the others 24/7, I guess that Glen guy wouldn't leave her alone," said Miles
-
Miles laughed. "Yeah, she isn't exactly being the model of a Zone Cop."
-
I... I... I d-don't know. H-how could w-we find o-out?
-
"Great. Let's head down the the basement. I've set up a sciency and magicy lab down there," said Skye, leading the way.
-
O-o-okay. If you're s-sure. *goes from pale back to normal colour*
-
But t-they m-might not h-have t-told m-me. Maybe t-they were w-waiting t-till I was o-older. And if n-not t-that, w-what is the reason
-
Melody nodded. "So let's get started then," said Skye. "You're welcome to help if you want Dylan." ---------- "Is the situation really THAT bad?" asked Miles as he got back to he feet.
-
Exactly! 28
-
What do you mean? The number was there all the time! *whistles innocently* 26
-
B-but what i-if i-it's t-t-t-t-true? W-what if m-my M-mom isn't m-my mom?
-
Melody shook her head. "It's hard enough to move and talk as it is. I don't want it to be worse. I can wait a little longer."
-
"Don't w-worry Fluffy. They'll b-be back soon," said Skye reassuringly.
