Net Neutrality in Danger (AKA pay more money for internet)
Skye Prower replied to Lino Blythe's topic in Off-topic
I've been keeping half an eye on this. I have to say I hate the idea that they're scrapping net-neutrality, you just know that all the service providers will immediately try to force people to pay more to visit all the popular sites. If that does happen, then only thing that might stop it (and this is reaching) are the larger companies like google or facebook insisting that their services are not affects. But more likely they'll just ask for a cut of the profits. And even if that did happen, it still leaves the small sites suffering. Thankfully, so far over here, the signs are the EU wants to keep neutrality. -
...I hope not... Well, not all of them! 122

"We're looking for the trained that enslaved Danny's father," said Kimi. Skye looked back up at Fluffy and managed to smile. "I'll t-try my best."
-
Older Skye: Of course you can. Younger Skye: *sticks head into pod examining how it all works*

Ah shame Tikal appears to need cheering up too!

Oh, what kind of sandwiches? 120

Ah, but I have tried it before. And the results were.... disappointing. I can kinda do sarcasm and snark, but even that's pushing it. And it's not other's judgements I fear! It's my own! ;)

"I guess you must be felling better now," said Harmony as Dylan left the bed. He smile wobbled for a brief second as she remembered that this Dylan wasn't the real one. That he wasn't a cute child normally and would be back to normal in a few days. The idea of not having a friendly kid around to look after, entertain, and who called her Auntie was a little upsetting.
-
"Yes you are Dylan," said Harmony, smiling and patting his head. "Yes you are."

I would love to help out on this project. Unfortunately, well, I just can't do comedy and jokes, and would probibly mess up a parody even more. Sorry. I really hope you manage to find a team to help you though.

"And I'm not making that part up either," said Harmony, turning and smiling at Dylan.
-
"The Princess and the Prince eventually escaped the evil King, and found a loving family to take them in and lived happily ever after. Is that better?" asked Harmony. ----------- "Chweck swomethwing? Uh... owkay!" said Skye confused.
-
"The Princess and the Prince and the Villagers all escaped. isn't that happy?" asked Harmony. "I'm sorry, I warned you I wasn't good with stories."
-
Harmony sighed. "No, it wasn't nice. And the Prince and Princess returned unhappily to the castle. Every now and again they would visit the village using different disguises, but they could never fit back in the way they had before." Harmony looked away from Dylan, so he wouldn't see her starting to tear up.

Harmony couldn't help smiling at Dylan's reaction. "There was only one way they could make it back in time. They used the book to change back to their normal forms, and used their magical powers to return. But when their friends saw them change they were horrified, and turned away from them. They didn't want to associate with the oppressive royalty. And even though the Princess and the Prince pleaded they weren't like the King, the villagers wouldn't listen, despite all the fun they had had together."

Got any to spare? 116

"It took a long time, and the Prince and Princess had to be careful not to rip the page. But eventually, they got the book free. But dawn was beginning to break, and so they would be expected to be at the castle. If they were late, the King might make good on his threat."
-
"There was a problem for the Princess and the Prince though. They were free, and the spellbook wasn't stone. But it was now grasped in a stone hand!"

MAINFRAME: The big Mr prower is showing slight above average levels of stress, but is otherwise in normal condition. The smaller Mr Prower is showing significant levels of stress, panic, and anxiety. I would recommend medical assistance. Younger Skye: W-what? Older Skye: Uh, no MAINFRAME, that's just how I was when I was younger.

Skye wilted under the glare. "I know... I'm just not very...romantic..."
-
Aww, that's not fair. And yes we did Dylan! 114
-
"Yes and no. The slaver cast the spell, be he got the worlds wrong. So instead of turning the prisoners to stone, he turned himself and all the other slavers to stone."
-
Wow. That's neat. 111

"I'll try," said Skye.
