      AU characters are not a good idea. It takes someone with real skill to pull them off and even me an rp veteran has difficulty doing it.

      I fail to see how its hard. You just gotta know what makes the original character that character and then see what will change what and then apply it with consistency. Then its just a matter of design or fighting style.
