Hey, I have A LOT to learn about backgrounds and perspectives, but I still draw comics. In fact, once you start drawing your story, you'll look for info about how to make those, so you should definately give it a try. But I'm off-topicing here, so I'll stop talking about that, and just add that I've made a couple of things I would like to share with you, this time, clearly in-topic. But first I have to find out how to upload images here...

Of course it's great that you draw, Shinomi! I love drawing, i love creating characters, and stories, and stuff, so I know the feeling of letting your creativity flow freely.  And people like you know how to use that flow in order to make something memorable.

My gosh...Shinomi, do you sleep? Because the absence of that biological function is the only thing that can explain the over 9000 characters you create! You can't deny that! On the other hand, your skill is cleary undeniable. Have you ever thought of making comics about your creations?

"Okay, now it's official: like father, like son." Amy said to Myra. "Well, at least he lent us a jeep for free... ...because we don't have to pay him for this, right?"

Saber, from Fate/Stay Night. "EXXXXXXX~CALIBUUUUUUUUUURRRR!" (I know she has some other memorable quotes, but c'mon, more memorable than her Excalibur Smash?)

Amy noticed that Skye's expression was really familiar at that moment... "I think I have heard that before...huh, nevermind" "Thank you, Skye" she said. (BTW, is the map a hologram anyone can see, or just a Google-map-esque app only Myra can see on her mobile?)

"Go for it, Skye. Hope we can find our destination more easily with it" Amy replied.

How about being a chao plush?

"You lead the way, Myra!" Amy said, willing to move

"We are all small for a guy like Boulder, Skye, so don't feel bothered!" Amy comfortingly said to Skye. "But I think we all agree with the 'let's get moving' part" she added, determined to lead to Ian's home, even with the mistakenly thought that the father could be like his son.

I was in the same situation you are some time ago, and I looked for a thread that wouldn't be really advanced in the storyline. I was lucky enough to find out that the "Christmas Play" was exactly what I was looking for. I asked a moderator and he told me everything I needed to know to start playing. If I were you, I would try to "re-activate" some of this threads that doesn't have a started story, with the users you could find. I would like to play another story as well, so if you want to roleplay, here you have at least one player more.

I would also find the cancellation weird after announcing the next issues, and even showing the covers...

"We are going to visit G's father? Alright... where does he live?" Amy asked

That bottle seems not pretty confortable. Here, take a box, Seviper.

"Of course it would be, Skye! Or is it that you feel more confortable in the cyberspace?" Amy asked to the sentient A.I. "But...just burritos? Don't you have anything a little more...errr... 'diet-friendly'? Because I have to stay in shape" She kept whispering to Boulder.

"You're full of surprises, Skye! I hope you find a body soon, so I can see how you look like! " Amy said, with a cheerful and kind expression.  "We have lunch and then... what?" she asked, aproaching Techno and Boulder's van. "Also, do you really have burritos there?" the hedgehog whispered to the duo.  

I also think the reboot made some good to the comics. Don't get me wrong, I liked the plots going on before the Super-Genesis Wave, but as I see, they are more accesible now to newcomers, as @SilverShard42 said. Making the comic more like the game makes sense to me, specially in the designs. But I understand that they might need better stories, and writing something more "original" than just adapting the games.  But the show is made by the CW based on Riverdale, right? I mean, Archie can make some money if it becomes successful. Also, we're talking about Sonic THE FRIGGIN' Hedgehog, one of the most popular videogame characters of all time. If they cannot make money out of it, what else could they get money from?

Granted, but it turns out to be an evil yokai. A REALLY evil one. I wish to become super-saiyan

Okay, I'm not sure if this is "off-topicing", but I have to make the question, and I think this topic would be the best place. Does somebody know what happens with the comic subscriptions? Is it true that the comic might be cancelled? 

OHMYGOD... Quick! To the mechas!
