Total War Series

3 posts in this topic

Well I have in mind several games from the Activision, SEGA, and Creative Assembly Total War Series. So let's begin. Instead of making several thread to hold each game with is possible mods, I'll just put them all in here...

I'll start with Rome Total War, a 2004 game.

This game has several extensions to it, such as Barbarian Invasion and Alexander, the gameplay is the same, yet the character units and time periods are different, but are still focus in the classical and late classical times.

And I'll put one of the best mods: Roma Surrectum II, it expanded the size of the game for a great amount. Producers made it more historically accurate and included the Marian Reforms and the diverse roman legions.

Now to Medieval II Total War released on 2006

The gameplay is the same as the previous game mentioned, but takes place during the dark ages. As in Rome Total War you control a certain faction. This one also has several expansions: Americas, Britannia, Crusades, and Teutonic Campaings

Now to the mods that I'm my opinion are worth playing.

Stainless Steel 6.4

The mod extends the game, upgrades the units, the map, and the factions, and makes it more historically accurate, yet it deletes the option of colonizing the Americas.

And Third Age Total War

This is a complete transformation of the game, focusing in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, following Tolkien's writings such as the Silmarillion and the Hobbit. The gameplay is the same but the character and units are completely new, and so are the factions.
