  1. Sonic Boom (Cartoon)

Yeah pretty much lol Knuckles is one of my all time favorite characters, partly because of the way he looks; his features and proportions are just visually appealing. Iizuka and the creators of this show just took a giant s*** on that, which is apparent just by his sillohoutte. I'm praying those character designs stay out of the comics and video games (of course I wouldn't be surprised if they did become the "new look", given that we're talking about Iizuka). I know they've just shown shadows, but Iizuka's "great ideas", plus the writer from My Little Pony, plus an animation studio whom hasn't even done a cartoon thats been popular, and plus the fact its on Cartoon Network (I personally besides Adventure Time haven't enjoyed a cartoon on that channel since Johnny Bravo, Ed, Edd & Eddy, Dexters Lab, etc. stopped airing; even with those, the newer episodes weren't all that great) equals a disaster waiting to happen. And I'm sure all of the collectibles based on the games will go away to make room for toys based on the show, which was exactly what happened with Sonic X. The last time I was nervous about sillohouttes Sega showed was for Lost World & they ended up being the Deadly Six...which ill leave it at that. This is just my opinion, I respect everyone else's. Sega has found a way to somewhat try to ruin the Sonic series at the peak of its popularity by trying to cash in on the series, and I just hope that this show isn't the beginning of making the series more "kid friendly" And doing just that. Just look at what Namco did to PAC Man, and that started with PAC Mans Ghostly Adventures being put on DisneyXD.

@midnightskye Ah, a Kirby fan! :D don't run into many people who care much for Nintendo around here. Welcome! This may be an odd questionto ask you, but which of the Kirby games are your favorite?
  3. I'm obviously new here (joined to look at the comics; therefore I could use them as a reference when sketching without getting my actual comics out). But I also want to contribute :D So, Nintendo and Sega obviously signed a deal where the next 3 Sonic games would be excluisve to Nintendo consoles. The first is Sonic Lost World (3DS & Wii U), the second being Mario & Sonic at the Soshi 2014 Winter Oympics (for 3DS and Wii U, but has this been confirmed by Sega as one of the 3 games???), and the 3rd is unknown at the time. I thought this deal would last for at least a year or two, but it turns out all three titles will be released before the end of 2013, as reported by Nintendo Germany. So the question is; what is the third game???? Now, it did cross my mind that it could simply be 3D Classics: Sonic the Hedgehog on the 3DS (already released in Japan), which is just simply the original (possibly Christian Whitehead's ver. that is on iOS devices already) with enhanced graphics and 3D effects (anyone with a 3DS is familiar with the 3D Classics series, as Nintendo has already released Kirby Adventure, Kid Icarus, Excitebike and several other retro games). Or, although I doubt it, all of the GameGear games that are being released on the 3DS eShop could be considered the "third game", though I know that's a bit of a stretch (includes games like Labyrinth, Drift 2, Tails Adventure, Spinball, Mean Bean Machine, among others, and the one I'm most excited for, Sonic Blast). So, if it's not re-releases of previous Sonic games, what is it? There hasn't been a game with Sonic in it since Racing Transformed, and Sonic games have been releasing less frequently than they used to (not necessarily a bad thing, as the quality seems to be better for recent games). But back in 2010, there were 3 Sonic games AND a re-release; Sonic Adventure HD, Sonic 4: Ep. 1, Sonic Free Riders, Sonic Colors, and then a hand-held version of Colors (so technically 4 different games). So apparantly there is the same amount of games this year. If you consider Sega releasing the same type of Sonic games that they did back in 2010, you have a main game for a hand-held and a console (2010:Colors 2013:Lost World), a re-release (2010:Sonic Adventure 2013:3D STH), a spin-off (2010:Free Riders 2013:M&S, for both a console and a handheld). So, is the thrid game a new, downloadable Sonic title exclusive to the Wii U??? So I want to know what everyone here thinks! I know I've probably went on fo too long, but I'll at least at least list the possibilities I've come up with: -Sonic Rush 3D: I highly doubt it, but it's been awhile since we've had a Sonic game that is exclusive to a hand-held, as all of the main-series hand-held games have just had the same title as the main-series console games (albeit several differences in terms of gameplay and levels) -Sonic Riders Wii U: We're about due for a new Riders game, and it would be great to get back to what made Riders such an awesome game. The tablet/Wii remote combination would open the door for many possible control schemes. Personally, I loved Zero Gravity (never got a chance to try free Riders); the accuracy of the Wii Remote and the amount of content and characters made it one of my favorite spin-offs surprisingly. I would love to get a new one, especially since it seemed like the Riders game for Kinect had to trim down on some features to fit with the controller-free peripheral. -Sonic Chronicles 2 (3DS): I can dream, can't I? I know there's that lawsuit with Ken Penders hanging over the series, as well as the fact that the first Chronicles didn't sell all that well. But the ending was, y'know, just the biggest cliff-hanger I've seen while playing video games. I've been dying to see what happend next, but I'm afraid we'll never get to see what Mobius would look like after Eggman's successful take-over :( -Sonc the Hedgehog 4: Episode 3: This is actually the game that could be that third title. There are a few things that still make it unlikely; Ep. 1 was for all consoles, but Ep. 2 was not on any Nintendo consoles, so I doubt Ep. 3 would be exclusive to the Wii U. However, I could definitely see Sega releasing a $40-$50 retail game that includes Episodes 1, 2 and Metal, and maybe even Episode 3 (supposedly the last part of Sonic 4) with some extra content or even enhancing Episodes 1, 2 and Metal with episode 3, therefore making each part have the same gameplay/physics. Plus, I thought Sonic 4's ending was left un-resolved at the end of Ep. 2, so it would be nice to have some closure. And I want to play as Knuckles already!!! XD So what does everyone think? And after the three games, do you think Sega should continue to make Sonic a Nintendo-exclusive? Personally, Colors was the best-selling Sonic game of all-time on Wii. Plus, Sega could really benefit from Nintendo's guidance and resources; therefore I think Sonic would fit perfectly on Wii U and 3DS. Even in Smash Bros. Brawl, Sonic fit right in with all of the Nintendo characters.
  4. Sonic Boom (Cartoon)

SO...Apparently there is quite the rumor that a brand-new Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon is being made right now. It does not sound like it is a successor to any previous cartoon series (sorry, probably no to a continuation of SatAM or Underground). Here's a link to TSSZ, with all of the info: http://www.tssznews.com/2013/06/15/sega-launching-new-sonic-boom-cartoon/ Now, before clicking, just know that it has NOTHING to do with My Little Pony (thank god). The reasoning behind them using an image of that show is due to the fact that the writer who talked about the new Sonic series also worked on MLP (as well as apparently South Park). So, after reading the article, what does everyone think? It seems like a legitimate source; I mean, it isn't a 100% sure thing, but there's probably a 90% chance that this is real. I personally wouldn't be totally against a new Sonic cartoon. It would be a way for Sonic to get more exposure, and introduce a younger audience to Sonic. Plus, cartoons like Adventure Time have proven that a cartoon can appeal to older teens/adults just as much to kids. I'm a bit worried after Sonic X however. The show itself was great, but the 4Kids U.S. version seemed "dumbed" down quite a bit. And on top of that, nearly all Sonic merchandise was for the cartoon show; and being aimed at a younger audience, much of the Sonic X merchandise was more toy than collectible (There was virtually no merchandise for Heroes, Shadow, Sonic 06 and every other spin-off because all merch. were toys based on Sonic X, not the video games). The 4Kids version of Sonic X just seemed to make people consider Sonic was exclusively for a younger audience, and I hope that a new cartoon series would be handled differently than Sonic X. And please know, I liked Sonic X when I was younger, still have an interest in it and want to watch the original version (with subtitles obviously). I don't mean to bash it, my point being more towards the fact that the show took away focus from the video games in multiple ways.
  5. I've came across quite a few people on here, arguing about the direction Sega should take with Sonic, as well as comparing the series to Nintendo franchises. I wanted to start a new topic, and get fresh perspectives from everyone. I just would really like everyone to have a reasonable conversation, without it turning into an argument where two people go back and forth, discrediting the other person's opinions and putting each other down for their views. Here's a comment I had left on another topic: "Comparing Sonic to Nintendo games is a moot point. Since recently trying to be an active part of multiple Sonic fan communities (including this one), I've seen so many different types of Sonic fans. It just feels like majority of fans I try to talk to are always unhappy about something. Sega just needs to focus on making a good game, that majority of fans will at least like and sell well. And also move the Sonic series forward, rather than back. They've had some great ideas, its just that usually it isn't executed as well as it maybe should've been (I.e. Black Knight; great concepts, graphics, etc., just gameplay wasnt as developed as it should've been. I really enjoyed the game, but I can see why it didn't get the greatest reviews). Some fans want Adventure 3, some want another game like Unleashed/Colors and some want a 16-bit follow up to the Genesis games. Sega just needs to figure out what made the original Genesis games so great, and try to successfully transition that into a 3D game. Gameplay wise, I'm very optimistic Lost World will be successful in doing that; it looks to have levels and gameplay reminiscent of Adventure, Unleashed and the Genesis games. Sega seems to be on the right track lately, so they just need to keep doing what they're doing. It's great to listen to fans to a certain extent, but in this case the fanbase is so divided on the direction of Sonic, they just simply cannot make a game that pleases everyone" So, what does everyone here think? I've ran into quite a few arguments that I've just walked away from, saving myself and the other person invloved from wasting time and becoming frustrated. So please, try to respect everyone's opinions,as I will do a better job of doing as well.
  6. It errors? What exactly happens? I've gotten all 242 stars, so I might be able to help you, if you still have the game :D
  7. Sonic in the Super Smash Bros WiiU/3DS

Lol I was being sarcastic XD I know about Master Cheif; I own an Xbox 360 and am a huge Halo fan. By saying that Master Cheif has a better chance than Frieza, I was saying that since there's a 0 percent chance Master Chief will be in Smash Bros, there's even an less than zero percent chance (that's right, it's possible) that Frieza will be in it. BTW saw Olimar. Everyone seems to be missing the new level that goes along with his screenshots. Definitely a Pikmin stage, and if you look closely, you can see the ship that Alph, Brittany and Charlie crash-land in during the beginning of Pikmin 3 (obviously meaning the stage will be taken from the third Pikmin game). Plus I noticed Olimar just has the five Pikmin that he had in Brawl, not the new Rock or Flying Pikmin. So are the two new types a part of the stage (like in the background?), or is there a second, unlockable character from the Pikmin series that uses the two new Pikmin???
  8. Sonic in the Super Smash Bros WiiU/3DS

Yeah...Highly doubt he'll be in there...I think Master Chief has a better chance than him.
  9. Sonic in the Super Smash Bros WiiU/3DS

    Who is "Frieza"???
  10. General Trash

Just ignore him, attention is what he wants; he'll be gone soon enough
  11. General Trash

You know a person's a Poopty troll when: They have to tell people that they are actually a troll Very well! you're request of getting banned will very soon be fulfilled, so don't worry. If that's what you would like, then it shall be a win-win situation. Just next time try, think of something better ;)
  12. So, I get on this website and here how much Nintendo and Mario suck and are bland/boring. I go to Mario Party Legacy to vote on a Smash Bros. poll, and have to here how much Sonic sucks and how his games are crap. Am I the only one who loves both? And I grew up in the 90's, the height of those 2 companies "rivalry"!

haha. well I spose thats what you would expect. Though I can say that I'm not a Sonic Fanboy. I really don't own many Sonic games. Rayman pwns all XD

    3. Glider4

      Glider4

Good to know I'm not the only rayman fan here. Rayman 2 was the first non educational game I played. Rayman 3 is by far one of my favorite platformers. It's just so funny and the levels are so alive

      Delicious echidna

totally right :3 along with max payne 2 (until i changed My pc, but soon...), it was always on my rig :3

  13. @neo metal sonic Using my iPhone and don't know how to reply to a specific person on here XD I mean, Galaxy 2 sold really well, got very high reviews (don't think it got lower than a 9 out of 10) and was a huge hit amongst Mario fans. However, it goes to show that everyone has different opinions; its fine that Mario simply isn't your thing. If its not interesting then that's cool; like I said, everyone has different tastes in games. =)
  14. Yeah, like I said, Modern Warfare 1 and 2 were great games, and black ops 2 is decent. My brother, who is a huge COD fan, traded in World at War, Black Ops and barely plays MW3. It just seems like everyone bought Modern Warfare because it was actually a great game, and now everyone buys any new COD game just because all of their friends buy it because of the name. The people who headed Modern Warfare 1 and 2's development are making Titanfall. Now THAT looks like it could be the game to finally beat and de-throne COD.
  15. Lol no I was just kidding about getting "riled up" :D And I can see that about Mario; with Sonic, Sega seems to always come up with something new, be it generally well accepted or not. The Mario Galaxy team has done a good job with keeping things fresh (even Galaxy 2, while a direct sequel, still felt new). New SMB, while I like, does seem to play it safe. I personally like that, but I can see why others do not. I really enjoy Colors still to this day, the bosses were very cool, just was disappointed at the difficulty level of the them I guess. Esp. the Nega Wisp Armor. It was such an awesome-looking boss, and Eggman was finally the final boss after how long of him being absent from a Sonic games' finale. But even on the first try, it seemed to be over so quickly due to the low difficulty level. Still a great game, and in my opinion the closest to having whatever the Genesis games that made them so great, if that makes sense. Of course lol :D That's a big if, but I would gladly do so :D
  16. Am i seriously like the only person on here who actually likes Mario? I mean, I know this is a Sonic website, but the series revolutionized video games twice over, something that as I much as I hate to admit, Sonic never did. The video game that would basically turn video games into an industry is Super Mario Bros. and the very first game that allowed players to control a character in a 3D space is Super Mario 64. And if you consider every game the same, try Mario Galaxy. Or Mario and Luigi: Bowser Inside Story. Or Mario Sunshine. Or Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. And Mario Kart 8 certainly doesn't look the same as any other MK game. And if you want to talk easy bosses, play Sonic Colors. ........ Alright, glad to get that out! XD lol. Enough venting, as I said before, you both have a different opinion, so lets just agree to disagree. This topic is about Sonic, after all; I tried to make a topic where we could avoid having discussions about how everyone thinks Mario and Nintendo sucks, as that gets me riled up XD No one will answer my COD question...
  17. Introduction Thread

Hello there! My name is Th3AntiGuardian, though my real name is Robert H. (go by Bobby). I came up with my user name whenever Finitevus (my favorite character in the Sonic comics) was referred to being essentially the opposite of Knuckles (the Guardian). Anyway, I'm 20 and have lived in central Ohio all of my life. I was introduced to Sonic back when I was about 3 in 1996; my parents had a Sega Genesis, and beside playing Mickey's Magical Quest, we would play games like Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Mean Bean Machine and so on (my very first game was Sonic 3). I've grown up with Sonic games, and have collected/read the comics for over 8 years without missing a single issue. I've also been collecting video game merchandise(mainly Sonic), probably some of my nicest pieces being my First 4 Figures statues (I have Classic Super Sonic, Classic Metal Sonic, Classic Knuckles and Modern Sonic). I also love video game music and collect/ listen to CDs like Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Smash Bros, Bioshock and obviously alot of Sonic, my favorite being the Sonic Generations soundtrack. Beside Sonic, I also greatly enjoy nearly all Nintendo games (many I'm sure already know that lol) like Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Pikmin, Metroid and so on (I'm living proof that even if you grew up in the 90s, you didn't have to pick between Sega or Nintendo. I went from a Genesis, to an N64, to a Dreamcast, and then finally back to Nintendo for Gamecube, Wii and Wii U). On top of that, I love Left 4 Dead, Halo, Gears of War, Resident Evil (specifically RE5) and especially Bioshock! Some of my non-video game interests include collegiate football, NBA basketball, and especially sketching (I'm hoping to become a professional artist and work for the Sonic comics) Here's my DeviantArt, though there's quite a bit of stuff on there that is quite old and I'm not as proud of as I used to be. I know I have a VERY long way to go before I can even come close to fulfilling my dream: http://th3antiguardian.deviantart.com/gallery/ That's about it for me! Great topic, looking forward to reading everyone's intros :) Oh and my all-time favorite character (video game or other wise) is Knuckles the Echidna! Although, my top 5 would include Omega, Silver, Metal Sonic and Eggman with Knuckles (in that order, from least favorite to most). My Xbox Live gamertag is Knuckles93, so send me a friend invite if you'd like; I'm not on a whole lot, but it would be great to have another Sonic fan on my friends list :) And if anyone has a 3DS or wii U, let me know; if you'd like, I'd be more than open to exchange friend codes with anyone! My Mii name on Wii U is Knuckles93 as well. Speaking of which, it would be kind of nice to have a thread somewhere, where everyone can exchange Wiiu or 3DS friend codes, steam IDs, Xbox gamertags and PSN IDs. Just a thought :D
  18. I apparently have a different thought process on this. I just see Mario and Sonic as two sperate series, made by two different companies, and each series has something different to offer gamers. I didn't hear of Sega coming out and saying that with Lost Wolrd, they were trying to make a rip-off of Mario. IDK I obviously like both Mario and Sonic, so we should just agree to disagree =) About COD, am I the only one who doesn't care for those games? I enjoyed Modern Warfare and MW2 was good, but if there's one series that's more overrated and milked for money than any other video game, it has to be COD.
  19. I mean, if you look at the game play videos, it's still nearly as fast-paced as Unleashed or Colors. It's simply that you have the option of going slower if you choose to focus more on plat-forming. Like I said, the difference between this game and Mario Galaxy is the difference between the Genesis Sonic games and Super Mario World. At least from the videos; really we won't know either way for sure until we get our hands on it and play it ourselves. We obviously have different opinions and tastes on video games lol. But I must ask you; you consider Super Mario more over-rated than Call of Duty, which has become the most well-known cash cow since Activision screwed over the people that made it so popular? There's less of a difference between each COD game they crap out each year than Mario; whether you like Mario or not, at least there's a variety of games within the series for fans (RPGs, racing, sports, side-scrolling platforming, party, main-series games, etc.). And at least they have multiple teams working on each type of Mario game.
  20. Why is Sonic being similar to Mario a bad thing? Mario is arguably the most recognizable video game icon of all-time, and has been going strong for around 30 years. Each Mario game sells a ton of units, receives very positive reviews and has consistently high quality thorughout. If you look at the Genesis Sonic games, they were just platforming games with an emphasis on speed, so not that different from Mario games made in the 90s. Whenever I play through the original Sonic games, I tend to do so fairly slowly. They're considered momentum-based platformers, where Mario games are platformers, not too much of a difference. Obviously, level design, characters, etc. are vastly different, but the core game play mechanic of the two series were fairly similar in the 90s. It was really SA that changed the Sonic series more into an action/adventure game; the momentum-based platforming game play wasn't very present in SA, as shown by the fact you actually tend to lose momentum when jumping in that game, instead using the homing attack to jump over gaps in place of it. The difference between Sonic Lost World and Mario Galaxy looks to be about the same as the difference between Sonic the Hedgehog and, say, Super Mario World. As far as bosses go, what do you mean "they'll be like Mario bosses"? Do you mean that positively (as the bosses in the Mario Galaxy games are quite diverse and creative IMO), or do you mean that in a negative way? I do respect your opinion BTW; I understand that there are many people who do not care for Mario, so please, everything I have written above are just some of my thoughts ^^
  21. Yes, I would love to see some characters playable beside Sonic! Even Rush did it perfectly, I think that was one of the main reasons everyone seemed to like Blaze (since she played similarly to Sonic). Knuckles is by far my all-time favorite video game character, and he hasn't really had a major part in a main Sonic game since SA 2; Heroes he was just there for no reason, 06 was the same case, he was completely cut from Unleashed (it was originally intended that Tails, Knuckles and Shadow were to be playable), and Generations he obviously didn't have a large role in (and Classic Knuckles didn't even appear). Plus, Sega has seemed to make him the butt of everyone's jokes; he got B*tch slapped by Amy for God's sake! My point is that I agree with you. Since the game play of Lost World is a bit more about platforming with speed (rather than just speed), i think it would be much more likely that perhaps the next main Sonic game could have Tails, Knuckles, etc.as playable characters. They really just need to approach it like Sonic 3 & Knuckles; they all control relatively the same, just Tails will be able to fly, Knuckles will have a lower jump and can glide/climb, etc (and like you said, Advance and Rush approached the multiple characters aspect in the same way).
  22. I agree with you, you put it quite well! I'm just a fan of Sonic as a series, not a specific type of Sonic game. Like you, I'd be willing to try anything Sonic in the future; I've been able to find at least some enjoyment in every Sonic title I've played. i think the reason for changing the game play in Lost World was mainly to try to build upon what they established in Unleashed, Colors and Generations; they felt they could maintain that sense of speed players experienced in those games, while giving us more control over Sonic at the same time. Sonic fans can get so nervous when faced with change. Understandably so, as theyre changing things just when it seems like Sonic is finally coming somewhat close to his level of popularity in the 90s. But the fact that Sega wants to keep things fresh and try to improve the franchise as a whole, rather than doing the same thing repeatedly just to make money, should really excite fans, I would think. It feels like Sega truly wants to improve upon what they've built thus far.
  23. Sonic slowly turning into a Nintendo game

Regardless of what's been said, Locke put it perfectly. Comparing Sonic to Nintendo games is a moot point. It's great to listen to fans to a certain extent, but in this case the fanbase is so divided on the direction of Sonic, they just simply cannot make a game that pleases everyone.
  24. Sonic slowly turning into a Nintendo game

I respect your opinion, though grouping a large number of video games all into a single category and saying you collectively hate all of them just because their first-party titles of a specific company is a bit narrow minded (outside of Starfox and F-Zero, as you said). I won't go into the "bland and uninspiring" comment, I'll just say we have a difference of opinion. Epic Yarn actually sold quite well, believe it or not. Plus, when given a chance, it is a great game and one of the best titles in the series; it not only has a really unique style that actually makes it look more impressive graphically than most Wii games, but it also has a certain humor that gives it even more personality than other Kirby games (and I've played nearly every Kirby game, with the exception of Star Stacker and Block Ball). Apparantly quite a few critics felt so, too, seeing how nearly every review of it was very positive. Sonic and Mario's 90's rivalry was..back and forth. Yes, Sonic was considered the most popular video game character in the 90's for several years. But sales of not only Mario, but also series like Zelda have almost always been consistently higher than Sonic (albeit the first few years Sonic was around, a huge accomplishment for Sega). Sonic has had a rocky career ever since Sonic & Knuckles, some of it being contributed to sega's poor-decision making and they fact that they went bankrupt.; where Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid and countless other Nintendo franchises have almost always had a stroing precense in the video game industry. If you look up Zelda on MetaCritic, even some of the weakest entries still have a score in the 80s. Whether you like Nintendo or not, they simply do what they do best and have innovated video games thorughout the time they entered this industry. Company's like Sega have provided healthy competition for them, and in turn have been innovators as well; but for example, Super Mario 64 was the first video game ever where the player had control of an object in a 3D space. The length of time Nintendo has been around, as well as how long many of their franchises have been going strong, is an indication that they must be doing something right, whether you like them or think that their games are "bland and uninspiring." I love Sonic more than any other video game series, but it's a shame there are those who can't realize or appreciate what Nintendo has done for video games. I may strongly dislike Sony, but they still have some great games, I simply can't argue that no matter how much I dislike them as a whole. Anyway, as for Sonic being Nintendo exclusive, I am obviously for it. Sonic Colors for Wii was the best-selling Sonic game, due to the fact Sonic is an all-ages game (like alot of Nintendo's games) and Nintendo's consoles are directed for all-ages. Sega is financially struggling, and Nintendo could be the one to provide the necessary resources. Sonic is simply his best on Nintendo consoles, from Sonic Advance, to Sonic Rush and Sonic Colors, some of his strongest (and most critically-acclaimed) titles since going third-party have been on Nintendo consoles. I'm a bit confused why everyone is upset about this whole Nintendo-exclusive thing; there has been a large number of Sonic games exclusive to Wii, DS, Gamecube, etc. going back to Sonic Adventure 2 Battle right after the Dreamcast was discontinued. My point being; Sonic sells best on Nintendo consoles, and more money for Sega equals a more stable company that can begin taking chances on experimenting with Sonic (possibly even taking a risk by making Adventure 3 in the future) and getting enough resources to possibly bring back series like Skies of Arcadia and NiGHTS. Sonic games tend to also be of higher quality when not multi-platform. When making a game for 5 plus consoles, the developement team has to spread themselves thin just to complete the various versions. With only having to focus on making a game for one home console and possibly a hand-held version, Sonic Team would have a much clearer direction and would be able to focus more on fine-tuning the game and making it of the highest quality. At this point, there's more Nintendo-exclusive Sonic titles than Sony or Microsoft, so if Sega makes this move, there will be little difference for fans. The only difference being Sega would have Nintendo's guidance, resources and marketing, and Nintendo would have a strong third-party series with a relatively large fan-base that would join their powerful first-party line-up. It would really be a winning situatuation for everyone; fans, Sega and Nintendo.
  25. Sonic in the Super Smash Bros WiiU/3DS

Really? The characters are constantly talking throughout the course of every single level, boss and cut-scene in the entire game, whereas Sonic games mainly have dialogue only in cut-scenes, with it used sparingly during levels (depending on the game). If you're comparing Uprising (which is a hand-held game) to a game like Unleashed (a full console game for HD consoles), you have a point, due to the fact Uprising is a bit shorter as it's a game for a hand-held. Plus, the longer you would go through a level or boss, the more the characters would talk. And the dialogue would change when re-playing levels. Perhaps you sped through the levels or did not re-play levels? In that case, I would give you the same advice to not state something without the grounds to back it. Just sayain...er, I mean, saying. I'm glad that was all you had to say from everything I typed. I will say that (while this is definitely just my opinion and in no way a fact) the quality of the dialogue is top-notch in Uprising compared to Sonic games. In terms of dialogue, the Sonic series has had a bit of a roller-coaster ride, ranging from enjoyable to down-right terrible (see Sonic Heroes and the line "we'll show this creep the real super-power of teamwork!". As well as the ending line, "'cause we're Sonic Heroes!", followed by a freeze-frame).
