Mmmm.... more like he allowed it for a little bit then realising he didn't like how they were used (for example, Locke dying to save Knuckles. He wanted Locke to die in the future from cancer) tried to get back control over them by getting Archie to pay for any characters used with the exception of 3 who were not allowed to be used at all. I think there were a couple of other demands too such as his X years later arc being the canon future for Sonic (even though I thought it was really bad and that Flynn's version was a vast improvement)

It's just speculation. As well as the fanbase starting rumours and some people taking it as a fact. Until Archie themselves state otherwise, just assume it's going on

Dominic was a little upset seeing MAX run away ------------ "Because they are" Sarah responded
