Yes, there is more than one timeline, some work together as the same future, others do not. Sonic and Shadow couldnt both have been made king at the beginning. So we have two main alternate timelines. Penders doesn't want anything to contradict his version of 25 years later. But with an alternate timeline, part of the point is that there are changes. Otherwise, why would there be an alternate timeline. This makes his second point stupid. Of course there will be some contradictions if the timeline is different. So in a way, we can't satisfy either side with X years later
