I just realised something, in three different aspects of media there is a police leader character who goes through an aspect of turmoil. In Anime/Manga we have Soichiro "Chief" Yagami. He was the chief of Japanese police in Deathnote. In Videogames we have Ryotaro Dojima who was a Police Detective in Persona 4. And in Comics (and later games and Tv/movies) we have Commissioner James "Jim" Gordon in Batman. All three had to deal with grief over a loved one and even had to face a corrupted "family" member. And strangely enough, I have great respect for all three!
