I wouldn't really consider myself a professional. I know some people do call me that, and for that, thanks! I have in fact beaten a LOT of difficult games, but at the same time I struggle at superbosses like the Rockagong from Tales of Graces F. Where do I place myself... hmm.... I guess saying I'm in the top 1% of this world's gamers is pretty accurate. Because that percentage still consists of a huge amount of people. But I guess I can consider myself a skilled gamer. (I don't really like bragging, so I leave everything up to you guys to decide :3!)

Dark Souls: Prepare to die edition - Aah this game is going to kick my arse. Or not. Well actually, it isn't at the moment. Granted, I have only beaten the first boss so far and did some stuff. Really enjoying the game so far though. I like. I believe I'm around level 14 at the moment. Eh, I grind at times, don't blame me. (Also, I've beaten the first boss without taking any damage! That's an accomplishment I suppose. That said, I died 2 times but let's just pretend nobody saw that. You didn't see it. Shoo and cheer at my accomplishment.)

    Yo, colleague. Happy birthday~!!
  7. Games that you are currently playing

Super Bomberman - Just a casual game I'm playing while searching for some more SNES hidden gems. Might play Illusion of Gaia or something else after this. It's exactly how I imagined it to be though, since I have played a few other Bomberman games. Actually, nothing much has changed between the ones that I have played... Eh. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages - I stated before that the Oracle games are kind of the same while being different at the same time. So I just picked one. I'm not planning to play both games back to back though. Might play some Gameboy Megamans and Final Fantasies in between.

  9. Pokemon!

Just wanted to mention something because I'm an asshat. Apparently, Europe is getting OR/AS a week later than the rest of the world, for whatever f*cking reason. Anyways, I'll stay away from this thread until I get/finished the game. That said though, may I suggest everyone using spoiler tags? At least for the spoilerific stuff. Not things like where you are now etc. Just the stuff that comes off as spoilers. Think of it as new stuff added to the game. We already know who the champion is and such. Statusses or posts that spoil the game will automaticly be removed. I won't bring in the warning points, unless you do it more than one time.
  10. Games that you are currently playing

Mortal Kombat Kollection: (Mortal Kombat 1) - Would you believe me if I said that I have never played (or at least, finished) a Mortal Kombat game? Truth be told, when I was a kid I really wasn't that much into fighting games, and I haven't bought any games for my SNES in a seriously long time. But hey, big buddy Steam is still around and apparently I own this game. And now I'm gonna play it. Like, right now. Beaten. (Mortal Kombat 2) - I'm not immediately planning to go to the second game. At least, not today. I had fun with 1 though. Not a great game or anything, but I had fun. Wario Land II - Says Wario Land III is his favorite GBC game, hasn't played II. Oh well, now I am! Having fun already. Don't think it will surpass III but eh, doesn't really matter to me. Only beat the alarm clock so far. Best boss ever 10/10 would kill again. Don't really have much else to say though... I'm still playing Hyperule Warriors too, but I'm kind of at the point where I seriously need to grind. Oh, and yes, I have purchased the entire DLC thing. And it's worth all my money, if not more.
  11. Games that you recently finished

Bomberman Fantasy Race - Another example of a game probably better not revisited because of Nostalgia. My Nostalgic memories were greater than the actual game itself. I wouldn't say this game is bad, but had just aged terribly (like many ps1 games I have replayed actually.. mhm). And let's not forget that this is another game which is more luck-based than actually skill-based. I had my fun though, but by today's standards, this game is seriously flawed. My standards back then weren't high fortunately. I'm still happy that I had the chance to play this game again, and I had fun until I had to take the game seriously and get 1st in races to proceed. At that point, the game got frustrating, annoying and all kind of stuff. Wario Land II - Felt like a mix of Wario Land I and III. And that is a pretty good mix. The new formula wasn't perfected yet of course. That happened in III. But for a first game in the series that goes a whole 180 in terms of gameplay, it left a good impression on me. It's also quite impressive for a gameboy color game to have 50 stages (Excluding an extra one, which is obtainable after completion). I would say this is better than the first Wario Land, but it doesn't beat the third one. Dunno, the third had some kind of magical charm II doesn't have.
  12. General Anime/Manga Thread

I can't recommend Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood enough. It's almost flawness. Almost perfect. It's just an amazing anime. Other than that... To Aru Majutsu no Index/To Aru Kagaku no Railgun if you're into the science vs magic genre. Though it does contain fan service at times. Oh, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Don't look at it and think of it as a childish show with magic girls. You will be proven wrong on literally every field. Still though, it's a great anime.
  13. General Anime/Manga Thread

Well, let me put it this way. I finished the entirety of Shakugan no Shana III in give or take 2 days. But if that doesn't say enough yet: THAT FINAL SEASON WAS LAST ORDERING AWESOME. Y'know, I could almost say this season was perfect, if it wasn't for one thing: Introducing too many characters at once, with us just guessing who they are. We know nothing about them, and only a select few get the right amount of attention throughout the entire season, leaving the others just there. Probably this is handled better in the mango (that typo was on purpose btw), but if they had done that in the final season, it might have been perfect. It's competing for a fourth place in my top 10 anime. It probably won't even take long. This is my current top 10: 1. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood 2. To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (S) 3. Puella Magi Madoka Magica 4. Ao No Exorcist 5. Shakugan no Shana 6. Black Bullet 7. Sword Art Online (II) (Really, the second season is doing a pretty good job.) 8. To Aru Majutsu no Index 9. Log Horizon 10. Zettai Bouei Leviathan (Not really noteworthy but hey, now I got a top 10. Yay.) Currently watching Hidan no Aria, which is average.. but that's it really. Sure, I love the main Tsundere character, but she is not worthy of an entire season of anime. And this might also be the most fanservicey anime I have watched in my entire life. Guy gets additional powers by coming in contact with perverted stuff. I guess that says enough.
  14. Shard's Fate?

You're sure about Finitevus? If I'm correct, he doesn't fall under the Penders curse. I don't see the possibility that high, but I wouldn't put him off so soon. Still though, I would pay money to have Finitevus back. He was one of the best villains the Sonic universe has seen.
  15. Favorite Anime Music?

Though I post here too since I never did. And since I recently finished Shakugan no Shana (which was awesome by the way), I have a contender for new favorite Japanese song in general. Beware of spoilers though. If you are at the very least familiar with SnS, there's a massive spoiler in the opening. If not then... enjoy this awesome opening. And then there is, of course, my current favorite Japanese song, Shunkan Sentimental. Which has been my favorite for an eternity, but it's just that good. Finally, Eternal Reality. Which is just great.
  16. General Anime/Manga Thread

Definitely. Black Bullet may just be my 5th favorite at the moment, though Shakugan no Shana is coming really close at the moment. It's only 13 episodes, which may or may not be a disadventage. Some animes just require more than 13 episodes because there are too many things left out. Black Bullet only leaves small things out, but they keep the main line in check, and so do pretty good. It also suprised me, because I though it was some kind of shooting assassination anime. But no, it was a post-apocalyptic anime. Shooting isn't really even that important in the anime at all. An impressive anime which suprised me in a good way. I really like Shakugan no Shana. I can't deny the flaws it has (many people hate season 2 and 3), but I don't mind them. Season 2 does have an identity crisis, but it does work more on the characters, which I didn't care for in the first season. Don't really care too much for them now anyways, but I appreciate it.
  17. The Happy Birthday Thread

    Happy birthday my rival-in-chocolate-partner-thingy!
  18. General Anime/Manga Thread

It even managed to be my 4th favorite anime! ...Which isn't saying that much, but it's still an accomplishment nonetheless. And it has indeed bought me back into anime. In the meantime I have also watched Black Bullet, which was... impressive? Yeah, might just be the right word. And currently I'm watching Shakugan no Shana II, which I'm halfway through already. Although this season has kind of an identity crisis (felt more like highschool love stories), I'm... still enjoying it. Especially the episodes where Pheles shows up.
  19. The Halloween thread. Spoooooky!

Happy halloween from the Tales crew! My new avatar isn't exactly scary, but the moment you stand before him... well, you'll find out.
  20. Happy Halloween everybody! I myself have exactly zero interest in this event whatsoever, but it's great to see so many people enjoying it :)

  21. The Happy Birthday Thread

It's on the left side of the community index, under the section forum. I have yet not been able to bring it down to the bottom of the page, but I have an idea how to.

  23. The Embodiment of Speed Youtube channel.

New intro! What do you guys think of it? Sorry for not being active on youtube for a while. Time and other stuff just don't allow me to. Hopefully I am able to spent more time on it soon! And as a special excuse from me to you Scanf people, I'll share some of the projects I'm planning to work on! - Top 10 Sonic Stage designs. Speaks for itself. I won't reveal any of my picks though, but it's going to be very interesting. - A playthrough of Mega Man 1 to 6, though it will be done in several periods. I won't do them back to back. - Secret project that might not be released for a while due to Square Enix being asses: Top 10 characters for the next Dissidia Final Fantasy.
  24. Hey guys, cheerleader here and welcome to my new thread. This one is surrounding my youtube channel which I recently made a start with. My name on youtube is Bokxie, but my title is the Embodiment of Speed. On this channel, I make playthroughs of several games, reviews and countdowns. Currently I'm in the learning curve, since I only started some weeks ago. However, everything is going perfect currently. Everybody's giving me enough feedback and youtube is finally working for me. The people support me too, which is a great thing for me. Underneath I'll post direct links to my videos/playlists so you can instantly watch them. Therefore, this thread also exists as an questions and answers thread. Have fun! Playthroughs: Final Fantasy Mystic Quest Legend My apologies. The let's play of mystic quest has been cancelled. Mystic Quest Legend was probably the first game I played in my entire life, probably when I was 3 years old. Since then, Final Fantasy has been my second favourite franchise of all time. Due to nostalgic value and wanting to play this game again so badly, I wanted to show the game. Also because this game is called the 'black sheep' of the franchise, so people can give their own opinion on it. Mystic Quest Legend is a game released for the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) in 1992 and was published by Squaresoft (Now known as Square-Enix) Reviews: Pokemon X and Y [media=]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcLcWmQLrRk I got Pokemon X and Y two days before international release, and I immediately fell in love with it. Therefore, I decided to make a review of the game. I also saw it as an open hit in the market, as a video like this could easily become a failure or a hit. This is my first ever review and the outcome satisfied me very much. I worked on it for over 3 days, but I had a lot of fun nonetheless. Countdowns: None yet Other videos: None yet
  25. Games that you recently got

Had no electricity for the entire week, so I went shopping. Games from up to down: - Pokemon Black 2 (Let's see if this game can change my opinion on gen 5) - Spyro: A Hero's Tail - Rayman M (Owned before in my previous life as a child, where I was stupid and sold all my ps1 and 2 games) - Rayman Revolution - Wipeout Fusion (Only played Wip3out on the ps1, curious about the other games) - Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix (Zero knowledge about this series, but I'm curious) - Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly - Project Gotham Racing 3 (Again, zero knowledge) - Pro Rally 2002, Racing Simulation 3, Road Rage 3 and Speed Challenge (For all of those: Zero knowledge)
