Some might, I can see some Admin hammers making a letter of some kind to the characters, maybe alter their minds to make them believe them to be ok, or erase them from the minds in the case of permanent removal. ...Unfortunately, that kind of thing never occurred to me to include onto mine. I usually have them pull it off in such a way to make the characters assume something's naturally happened. In place of that, Jake and Tai will serve as the "everything is Ok" field.

Well, I'm certinaly Happy how the RPers have converted themselves to this site with dedication. Since Megaman was apparently a failed attempt, what say we step it up? I want to go for Power Rangers, but if the Megaman one taught me anything, it's that a Non-Sonic related RP may not work here, at least not well. So I'll save the Ranger one for when I know everyone's comfortable playing outside the series. What better way to do that than the next big thing: Crossover RP!
-
Sorry there, Knux. But until Ripper gets the other...2, I think, done, we can't get started on it.
-
If I can throw in 2 more tomorrow (and actually do it right lol) could we start it? Or did ripper have something specifically planned?
-
Well, ...If you can think up two more elements, than sure. I think we can get it working.

*Sigh* It's as I feared. and almost exactly how I predicted. That's the major problem with crossovers: The possibility of it becoming one sided. A tilted side of a crossover makes for a bad one. I will say this though, ...I gave a small chuckle to the Megaman X references made by Sonic. (Being a fan of X myself.)

My weird and funny moment, is actually the entire concept of Enerjak's first defeat as a whole. You are the God of Chaos. You can shape the island, nay, the entire world however you please. There is no one who has the raw concentrated power to stop you. You can, literally, move mountains, because you feel like decorating. ...And you're defeated by a bunch of ants, and rocks. The moment I saw Dimitri's first defeat, I could not stop laughing because of this alone. "Oh no, ROCKS! I have the power to make mountains at will at a side-hobby, and I'm defeated by ROCKS!"

Shadow has it right. Sorry Metal. You're up, Shadow.

Here we go, ...This, one, I'm not going to lie, is probably going to be easy. Among my people I am of the darkness. Among my brothers I am of the light. Though I wear a mask, my face is still shown. Of my brothers, I am undoubtedly the wisest, more careful to suspect danger before it arises, and no one within my brothers have yet to touch the level of power I possess, save perhaps for the youngest of us. Making me a threat among them. As I walk, and prefer the shadows, it is only fitting that that is where I and my brothers become entrapped. One day we may leave this prison we were pulled into, and perhaps I shall walk among the daylight again to eclipse it from the enemies of our heavenly land. But until then, I shall wait patiently within the shadows of our cage. Who am I?

Welp, Times up. The winner is Megaman. ...Specifically, it looks like it's going to be Megaman X. I'll be making the OOC of it soon.

Right, Seeing as how things are going smoothly with Chaos Freedom so far, I think it's time we step it up a level by making another RP. A rather good way to train your multi-tasking skills. Being able to click one RP off for a second to click the other on, then vice-versa. The question is, which RP should it be? I'm leaving that for you guys to decide. ...What you see above on the poll are the areas I currently have Ideas with in terms of RPs. To make things interesting, the next RP will NOT be related to Sonic. I might make another Sonic RP if I find a good Loose Plot line to go with. Do bear in mind, When it comes to Megaman and Anime, I don't know what I'll do for them. I might make just one of the incarnations, or I might cross them all over. ...Which leads me to the last one: What "Big Crossover" means is, any character from any media, or your own mind in one RP. (Within God-modding consideration, of course.) That may sound clustered, but this RP has been done before, and has used the amount to its advantage. EDIT: I will say this: Naruto is something I will NOT do. My apologies to all Naruto fans, I just used Naruto as an example. I'll close this Poll tomorrow, and the winner will be the next RP I will make. Have fun. :D

Well, I suppose they do, but I don't recommend MMORPG characters, not for this one, anyway.
-
I said it before, I'll say it again, my only concern with the Crossover so far is if one side becomes deemed superior to the other. Sadly, it's suffice to say that not only is it possible for Crossovers to do this, it has already been done before. Overall, So far, so good, but until Part 12, I won't make an real judgments on it.

...Right, Scourge the Hedgehog.

Hmmm, All of those are very good questions. Essentially, yes. Plot lines are usually consisting of a point A and a point B. A beginning and an end. Going straight across in an RP is a Direct plot, and choosing how to get from point A to point B is a Loose plot. (This would be my Forte'.) But with Free plots, there is no planned out point B, only a planned out point A. Everyone can make a story go where they like to, and the end we make when we want to make it. However, there ARE limitations so that it doesn't get too chaotic. At the very least, without my Permission, you can't go and make, say, a God. You can't cause said God to ravage the lands of Mobius and completely change the setting completely. (Like World of Warcraft Cataclysm.) Another way to put it is, ...Anything that Mogul has done in the past, you cannot do. Anything that Enerjak has done, you cannot do. Anything that involves changing the tables of power in the snap of the fingers, (I.E. Killing Eggman, and killing Elias and Sally, then immediately taking both sides over.) is something that can't be done without my permission at best. I would use a character as a hypothetical example. ...But I don't think I have to, just look at the Silver Saga of Sonic Universe with Enerjak, or the moments of Godhood from Mogul, and you'll have an idea of what isn't allowed in RPs like this. At least not without permission. What is good then? ....Just about anything else. Bear in mind, it has to be within the rules of God-modding and what-not, and it has to make sense. Unfortunately, I don't have any examples other than the good being the ones that aren't screwing with the setting as much and the bad being the ones that are god-like, or just too random. Randomness is okay, but only when it's leveled. The more chaotic messes are ironically much harder to control and keep at a balance. To answer your last question, yes. You are free to make new side-characters/villains. I, for one, am planning to have a certain few entered to spice things up later on. But yes, they would need an OOC profile. Remember, OOCs are for acceptance, not just display. In the case of CF, you also have to remember that there is a limit to how many characters you can add. Do bear that in mind as well.
-
A very good question. Unfortunately no. You're not suppose to go to the IC before the OOC. The Information is not just for display, but also for acceptance. A character has to be accepted before entering the actual RP. However, upon talking with Oda about it, (Since he and Cronic are basically my advisers here.) I've decided that, since you're new to RPs, and this hasn't been mentioned before, We'll let it slide only this once.

Considering Flynn's infamy of being Sonic's writer, plus what I've read of the Megaman Comics, it's seems indeed like He prefers Megaman over Sonic.
-
You are correct.

Fair enough. I never did like holding others back because my own activity, or lack thereof. Though I was a Guardian within the Brotherhood, It was only because my brother sacrificed his life to save the Island. From his death, from then on, my descendants hid the brotherhood from their children and their children's children. I suppose that would make me the first to enforce this, so that neither I nor my children would feel the sadness my father did. Who am I?
-
Slightly Darned in my case. I love the story, the mythos, the humor, and ESPECIALLY the characters. There's really nothing else I can say.

The Fire Ant, Christopheles.

Good questions. The answer for both is yes. That IS how conversations work. Yeah, it can get annoying considering the different time zones. However, Only the players in question know what they're characters are like. What they'll say, how they'll say it, if whether or not they do an action as well. Sadly, it's one of the negatives of RPing. It takes time due to the time zones of the world. It's still possible to overcome that with a little patience however. (One of my friends is from Australia, so are time zones are virtually polar opposites. But that doesn't stop us from RPing with each other when we can.) However, I wouldn't say "Quick-Fire" though. Constant back and forth between you and another isn't necessarily a good idea. ...Actually Speed-posting in general isn't a good idea. Also yes, it CAN take a single post for a Conversation between player and NPC. However, you have to consider that in that post you'd be speaking for both people in the conversation, so it may take time to do. So if you get tired, which is possible, I suggest finding a good place to stop the conversation, and continue it next post. PS. Excellent idea for this topic, mate.

Well, I think by "Irrelevant" it translates out to "Not the current situation at hand." Say you're fighting ....Eggman's army. Or Mammoth Mogul. Daydreaming would probably be something like a flashback that has NOTHING to do with the fight at hand, or a conversation that, again, has nothing to do with your fight. However, I've seen and even done plenty of cases where there's a "meanwhile" with another character, that's technically irrelevant because they're not with the ones fighting. Ergo, I think that it's only the case of this kind of thing when it's a singular character daydreaming. By which case it's can be annoying if someone who is in a situation, isn't focusing on that situation. It's not exactly an act of god-modding, it's more like an act of Game-breaking, which, for all intent and purposes, is essentially the same thing as God-modding, the same as Miss Cleos or I would think McFlies.

Huh....Final Fantasy. Well, it's no longer my favorite RPG series, but it certainly still has its charm for me. First FF: Final Fantasy 7 Favorite FF: Final Fantasy 7 and 9, 12 and 10 being close in Second, the very first two games being taking the Bronze Favorite FF Spin-off: Dissidia Final Fantasy Favorite Protagonist: Balthier (I don't care what people or Square says, He IS the Leading man of 12.), Auron, and Zidane. Favorite Antagonist: Venat and Vayne Solidor, Seond place belonging to Kefka and Kuja, and Ultimecia and Sephiroth taking the Bronze. I don't even remember how long it's been since first playing a Final Fantasy game. 14 or 15 years if I had to guess.

I don't think there is any other things I can say that they haven't. Ever since I got Sonic Mega Collection, I wanted to read these comics, and thanks to Oda, and you guys, I managed to do just that. So Thank you. For what it's worth, I truly appreciate it.

Very well... RPs (Not to be confused with RPGs) can basically be summarized as co-operative storytelling. You make a character of some kind, whatever fits the RP, or adapting characters you have already created into the story made, and play as them, writing in their perspective about the situation at hand. What it looks like to them, how they will react, etc. For those who are loving of stories, it's quite an entertaining experience. Some could even consider it an exercise of mentality, planning, and character development. I have seen RP's done in two different ways: Script and Novel. ...Their names match their formats. So Script is like this: Both are tolerable, but if you are up to it, I highly recommend the Novel way. Some RPs do have stats, or Dice that they use for the story at hand. Personally, however, I use neither.

Normally this may have to fall into the Community section, but since I can't post any topics in that section, I'll have to place it here. Now, I don't want to be the Amadeus Prower of the forums; immediately planning a revolution and a change of Status Quo after just being here for a few days, but I figured this was the best place to start in my attempts to liven up the place. I understand you guys have a system, and it's working, albeit to a small degree. I understand that the side opposite to this one (The one of Russian Language) is the original side, and that this side is basically the inferior side. Even still, is there anyway to merge them together, rather than separating them in half like they are? Some kind of way to put the activity from that side, and placing it to the activity on this one? What's also understandable, and I get, is that this place was originally designed for the guests to read the comics. Most of the guests' only reason to be here was the comics. (I say most out of an assumption, I won't speak for them, and I'm sure there are guests who come here for other reasons entirely.) But now that they HAVE to be members to get to the comics. It would be highly recommended to upgrade this area to at least being the Russian side's equal. It helps the members who come here to read the comics and need something to do when there's a Comic Gap. I'm certain it would help you, the Staff, as the more members and activity this place, gets the more money this place gets. (Though I'm assuming this is one of those sites where you have to pay for its appearance.) I'd safely consider it the best of both worlds. ...Or 4 if you count the Russian side as well. At the very least, I would like somebody to bring in the forums games section here for us. More specifically, the Party Games and RP section. That way there is something for myself and others to cut loose into and enjoy.

The RP section and Forum games is now in. Thank you Nekit. It's small, but it's a start. With it in place, I can stretch out my skill as a Writer and hopefully bring in as many of my friends into this as possible. I'll be making a topic regarding RP rules and then something easy in terms of RPs. I'm still technically on Haitus afterall, so I don't want to overdo myself.
