  1. Tommy Turtles sacrificing himself to stop A.D.A.M was pretty sad

    True.

Or when Knothole was destroyed because of Eggman in StH 175 and Sonic was like madness, run to a beach and then go back with his full speed power to knock off Eggman. We don't saw Sonic crying but we saw that he had a bad feeling-mixture between anger and sadness and that was one of the best and sad moments I've ever seen.

It doesn't belong to StH but I really cried there. Mega Man issue 53 when Quick Man made that choice to go offline and Mega Man wanted to rescue all and he see that the robots of MM2 have no longer a fuction with no fighting him.

  2. Firstly, that was from WAY back before the crossover began; they were talking about Worlds Unite. Secondly, Ian Flynn later mentioned that the 'limited series' thing was misread, and that it didn't mean Worlds Unite would be a separate book (as we all know by now). There's been absolutely no talk of any future crossovers (unless you REALLY want to count the final page of WU's finale) and considering Mega Man's current situation, there likely won't be any talk of another one anytime soon.

Dude, don't sound so negative. I said "I think" and "I am really not sure" that doesn't mean I am right. With the break of the Mega Man Comics the cards are being reshuffled.

  3. Gold x Silver!! Gold x Silver!! OTP! OTP! (sorry inner fangirl moment) So far this story arc seems really interesting.. and that German accent~ Wonder what's going to happen next..

    I thought Xander x Silver was crazy....P:

I really hope you're wrong there

I am really not sure and I don't wanna confuse you but we had a dicussion about it in the first pages of this thread and also the fans on the bumbleking forums.

    BlueBlur mentioned a link: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=54531

Pellerito also announced some new comics based on their video game licensed comics, including “Sonic Boom” featuring characters from Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog universe and tied to a new game and cartoon, and Capcom’s Mega Man. In addition to new solo comics, the two characters are set to cross over in an upcoming limited series.

  5. Totally. I wouldn't ruin the crossover with 16 issues and it would have given the characters and their different personalities more time to make running gags baised on their videogame-franchise.

I think Flynn mentioned that these Crossovers are not just an event but an ongoing series. That was before they say that the Mega Man comics are going down. In my opinion if they do another crossover they just have to do it with all the SEGA characters and not with the Capcome ones. Capcom without Mega Man is....meh :/

  6. Okay so here is my shortly thoughts about Worlds Unite:

I agree with Skye that it was just meh. I espected more. Like I was really exiting reading through Worlds Collide and I thought: "Okay you have to top Worlds Collide now!" because you wanna surprise the readers but it failed a bit.

But before I go into story-detail I just wanna clap my hands because all the people who worked on the art have done an amaaaaazing job. Like seriously those covers and the whole artwork within the battles. Really cool.

I'm gonna start my critic with the battle and I really like to compare the battle in WC and un WU. Within the battle of Collide you knew these characters. Like if you have read the Comics of Sonic and Mega Man you probably gonna know everyone and you understand the insidejokes. And remember that amazing two side battle with sonic (StH 250 page 11)? This was a masterpiece because you know the characters who are kicked by Sonic and he just ran through and made chaos and also you really had to look 5 min on that scene to see every little detail.

I missed that whole thing in Worlds Unite. Maybe it's because I don't know all these other characters from SEGA or Capcom (like seriosuly I only know Street Fighters & Monster Hunter...all the others just by thair name haha) so I didn't get the inside jokes. When you put many characters from many different worlds in a crossover you have to complain who they are. Not just drop them into the battlezone like: Cool, you're here! Go and kick some robots!.

The real problem was that there are to many characters in this crossover. The author built up the storyline of Sonic, Boom, Mega Man and X and then BOOM Characters of other realities are comming up, BOOM Battle and everything is finished. I told ya it was a bad thing to smash that big storyline in "only" 12 comics!

So my endling line is: Worlds Unite was good but nothing more. A crossover that waste the potential of beeing amazing.

  7. Before Worlds Collide and the Super Genesis Wave Dr.Eggman was pretty much winning where as Sonic and Friends were only making minor victory like they save someone they know or they stop eggman from doing this but at the end of the day dr.eggman was still winning the war but after the reboot happen they put Sonic and Eggman on equal level or maybe even lower then Sonic to some degree.

I really loved that Eggman was winning all the time and that the small things of the Freedom Fighters helped the people or the Mobians and it was a good moment of piece in a world of terror.

  8. Is there some sudden turning point where the comic becomes more focused and has a story, or am I missing something here?

Just a question. Do you mean the Sonic Network Wikia and the Archie Sonic Wikia?

When I was starting to read the comics I began with 225 and in the time I go back and I saw the old design and the old storyline. Maybe it was funny in the past or was filled with action but how a comic is written has now completely changed.

You see around StH 190 -239 that everything is more complex. Eggman is not the main antagonist anymore and there are many other villains who are trying to beat Sonic and that's really awesome and makes the comic really interesting. But when you look back in the StH Comics 1 to 50 you see the basics of heroism: Robotnik captured friends of Sonic and Sonics love Sally and Sonic rescuing her and everyone is happy again. I think it all started in the Endgame in 50 when Robotnik got beaten and Sonic with him and Eggman is alive.

And for me the definition of a (interesting) story is, when it's not just the basics. For the the "real StH comics" started with StH 168 when Eggman is there and Scouge is comming up as an antagonist but there are also many other guys who wanna kick Sonics butt. For example I really loved to read the Arc when Knothole was burned by Eggman and you really saw that Eggman has the power and Sonic and his team are the group of the revolution. And also I really enjoyed the Arc after the first Genesis Wave and Antoines coma because you saw that Eggman had the upper hand with Mecha Sally and Sonic was just helping people and with his actions to say "Hey Eggman I am still here! And I will always try to beat you whereever you are!"
